You're welcome. It does pose some challenges, but I think it's important. There is the possibility that there could be a little more muzzle flash if I was mag dumping really fast or if I used different ammo, but this at least gives a decent comparison. Thanks for watching.
I finally got my hands on a AR 15 .556 S&W M&P. I purchased that VG6 because of this video and I 100% have noticed the same reduction in recoil. Thank you sir. Great video.
Thanks. I appreciate that. For some reason, UA-cam is not notifying me of many of my comments on my videos. I usually reply to comments very quickly and I just saw this one now. Thank you for watching.
The thing with the night shoot camera is it’s to the side so it’s looking at the side port flash; if you notice the front barrel flash is barely even noticeable at close range. I have a relative in LE and he uses the Epsilon; they mentioned the department utilizes a front camera down range at 250 yds so as to monitor flash suppression from target’s perspective. The flash isn’t even visible downrange with the Epsilon attached; day, twilight or night. Which is what matters most because that’s it’s purpose.
Thanks for the great info. I was looking for buyers confirmation as I already purchased this break for my ak in 7.62. Around $50 on Primary arms. Just installed and can’t wait to feel it working in person
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sorry it took so long to reply, but it seems that UA-cam isn't giving me all of my notifications when people comment on my videos. Every once in a while, I stumble across a comment that I haven't seen. I try to reply to everyone if I can. Have a good one.
I have this on an 11.5 build with the CAGE device. The flash looks like wings when firing and the gas slaps me in the forhead. But this brake is awesome! The CAGE worked really good for the concussion shooting 210 rds at an indoor range!
Everybody has different needs and different wants. What works for me may work for you, or it may not, and that is fine. I hope the video helped. Thank you for watching.
Awesome muzzle devices, run those on my ARs, SAR 1 and micro draco. You may wanna consider getting the cage device that slips over the device to really control the side blast and muzzle flash.
I meant to order one shortly after I bought it, but it kind of slipped my mind. I definitely have it on my list of things to try. Thank you for watching.
Update- I put the 7.62 gamma on my patriot chambered in the .300 WM, really takes the bite out of the 220 grain bullets. Works out beautifully to keep cross hairs on target for follow up shots if needed. I put the 6.5 gamma on my patriot chambered in the 6.5 creedmoor and works out great.
@@perryfryar5424 Worked out great, the harder/faster i run it, the better it responds. Just be wary of the placement of your non firing hand, it barks and throws some huge fireballs.
Happy to help. Sorry I just saw your comment now. UA-cam does a really good job of NOT notifying me of all comments, so I do occasionally miss some. Thanks for watching, and stay safe out there.
Good stuff man great video! How bad was the flash when shooting at night, considering what it is the flash wasn't that bad on the vid. Keep up the great job!
Thanks. The flash wasn't bad at all, all things considered. Not quite as subdued as a flash hider, or even my BD2, but certainly WAY better than having no muzzle device. I would say it's a very effective all-around device, but if flash suppression was your most important concern, I would stick with a dedicated flash hider.
Basically, two reasons. 1) I have a .308 version and I like the consistency of having the same stock on two nearly identical rifles, and 2) it stays put in my shoulder better. The plastic butt on the original stock doesn't have much friction, and honestly feels cheaper. I ran into a guy who was getting rid of one for a great deal, so I took advantage. I would have been just as happy if it was a thin, firm rubber pad, but this is what was available and works fine for me. Thanks for watching.
I'm sure it would work fairly well. The stock break on my .308 Galil ACE is very similar to the Epsilon (minus the flash reducing prongs), and it is extremely effective. Granted, thatbis a semi-auto, but it would help a bolt gun too. Physics is physics. Have a good one and good luck!
I went with the Gamma. It's ordered and I'll let you know. I heard the Epsilon was a real dragon far as muzzle flash. I didn't see too much flash on your video.
Yeah, I didn't experience a whole lot of flash with mine, but people may have different experiences with different ammo loaded with different powders. Either way, it's much reduced when compared to a barrel with no muzzle device at all. Thanks for watching and let us know how that Gamma works for you. Stay safe!
Thanks for the comment. I haven't picked up the CAGE device yet, but I am gonna try to get one in my hands as soon as I am able and have the extra funds. Now that I have a request for a video, I might have to put it higher up on the priority list. Thanks for watching, commenting, and subscribing! Have a good one!
The device really looks cool But I have one it doesnt help with muzzle flash maybe 30 % but it is very nice job of muzzle rise and better for compensation only....
I've been meaning to, but it often slips my mind. I wonder how easy it would be to find one right now with the way things are regarding firearms stuff. Thanks for checking out the video. Hope you enjoyed it.
Hahaha. There are woods between me and the traffic, so I can't even see them. I just have the joy of interstate traffic noise in all my range videos. Thanks for watching. Have a good one!
I've only used this on this rifle, which is in 5.56mm. It could depend on caliber, but if reduction of recoil is your top priority, the BD3 would be the most effective of the three. The Epsilon and BD2 both work very well for that too, but the extra chamber of the BD3 does add some effectiveness, as well as just a little length. Hope this helps.
To be honest, I can't remember. It has been close to a year since I purchased it, and I can't remember for the life of me. It may have been on sale at the time. Even so, the normal price of $65 is pretty reasonable for a brake of this quality. Thank you for watching.
Its upside down, according to the company, with that open prong straight up in ur line of sight at night wheres the flash goin straight up infront where ur trying to see and saying it compensate too well just adds to what I'm trying to get through to everybody on yt
@@JunkfoodZombieGuns im not sure but big daddy unlimited has had the epsilon and gamma in different calibers and a bunch of other vg6 comps for half off for a while 🤫 they're both 50 bucks on there and its been like that for the past at least 6 months
It's been a while since I've looked them up, but if I remember correctly, this is essentially the same brake but with the short prongs on the front to help reduce flash.
@JunkfoodZombie - You noticeably shifted your weight back with the A2 flash hider than with the VG6. You were inducing the desired results. This test was a total sham. Besides, an AR has no kick whatsoever, and a real man can run an A2 flash hider and run it like a boss. Nothing wrong with the A2. Background: 8 years Army Infantry, 3 deployments, all with an A2...SMH
I hate when people use their military service as a source of authority over anything. Ninety-nine percent of service members will fire fewer than 2,000 rounds during their time in service. I didn’t fire my weapon once across two deployments. I‘ll take marksmanship advice from civilian shooters over military shooters almost any day of the week because they simply get more rounds down range, have more time working the trigger, etc. It’s pretty safe to assume that the people that have more (and proper) practice time will be better. IMTs and squad tactics are obviously a different story. Maybe if COs allowed their subordinates to store their weapons in the barracks or at home and let them use them at civilian ranges to gain proficiency, we’d be at a much higher proficiency. The Marine Corps is already moving forward with a recent MARADMIN allowing Marines to use CMP shoots as a Table 1 score, but it’s simply not enough yet.
Thanks for shooting in low light no light. This answers a ton of question.

If there is hardly felt recoil on the Galil 5.56, why did you get the 308 Galil stock with the recoil pad?

Should checkout the cage device for it, mitigates some of that concussion with not effecting it’s performance to much.
