Will be going to Eldora just to see Bloomer. Don't expect a win but it's the Dream after all.

Interesting change to the format for the Dream. I hope Bloomquist has a good showing. Great info

I heard somewhere that there were racers not paid for last years race at Selinsgrove. Wish I could remember where I heard it. Possibly on Dirt Nerds podcast.

I am a big fan of The Big Half Mile (Selinsgrove). An historic dirt track in Central PA. Ask Tony Stewart? Rico? Jan Opperman's only track championship was at Selinsgrove. I still say good promotion and sponsorship is the key. Less than an hour away up Route 35 sits Port Royal Speedway. Not too many years ago Selinsgrove was actually in better shape than Port Royal. Port Royal acquired large State Grants due to their status as an Agricultural Fair Grounds. And the rest is history. I enjoy your show. Thank you for your support of dirt track racing.

Port Royal (PRS) was in the current state of Selinsgrove (SGS) until Steve O'Neil came back to PRS in the early 2000s. Then the fair board became non-profit, and got so, so, so many grants.
My hope is that SGS will soon be in the current state of PRS.

That’s why I’m only going one night not paying top money to see half the cars. I’m smarter than that. Win I pay I want to see every car race.

Why did you skip a recap of Dave Blaney winning Western PA Speedweek ?

There was a threat of weather at Selinsgrove last night, it's also another half mile after a lot of cars ran Port on Saturday and the Grove on Friday. It's interesting that BAPS never has any issues with their Sunday shows, it could be location based and that I don't think BAPS is as hard on motors as a place like Selinsgrove.

At my hometown track which is Fairbury Speedway, just off of turn 2, there is a old bus that fans stand on top of to watch the race. I've never been on it myself but it looks like it's always a vibe up there!

It’s all about the economy. Car counts when there is multiple nights of racing might suffer a little bit. But on the other hand if it is a good race who cares if there is 14 cars or 30 cars.

Wait, wait, wait..... hold on...... how does a track average a 23.8 - I get the 23 part, but what's with the .8 like, did someone show up with only 3/4 a car - someone forgot their wheels at home.... it was @shaneStewart wasn't it. 😅😂

Winchester Speedway (Indiana) has chairs lodged into the top of trees in the back straight.
There used to be a school adjacent to Winchester in like the 60’s or 70’s and students would climb the trees and put chairs up in the trees to watch the races.

With Kyle Larson not running the 6 car for the forseable future and Rumley still doing the R&D car with Hudson wonder who he could put in the 6 car?

Bloomquist did run at Eldora last fall in the Dirt Track World Championship, but was a non factor.

Along the back stretch at Lucas Oil speedway in Wheatland, there's this huge elevated stand that can hold tons of people way high up in the air. A few years ago when I was there they were using pyrotechnics at the start of a Lucas Oil race and you could feel the thing swaying it was pretty gnarly.

Don't buy into the chance of weather stuff for selinsgrove...there was 25% chance of showers .. I've seen other tracks plus selinsgrove packed with cars with days with a higher percentage chance of rain so something is quite weird about the low attendance Sunday for sure

Tri city was trying to run the last leg of Western PA speedweek but they canceled late 4:00 pm I'm sure there were lots of cars committed there as they were paying 5000 to win

Awesome to see Bloomer back at the Dream this year! Would love to see Bloomer win one more time at Eldora but lets be honest his racing program is no where near what it once was or used to be 💵 💵! With how the sport is now of these older vets like Bloomer, Babb, EPJ, an others who think with all this technology an how it changes daily and weekly believe running less is gonna make them successful and and win with how DLM Racing is currently there out of there freaking mind!

Back in April the 410 race at selinsgrove popped several engines, could make teams more and more timid to go back with the price of everything

I question this?. I know things can get manipulated BUT I promise knowing a large portion of the drivers, that this sport can be rigged. To many good people and to many narcissist. These drivers won't give it to anybody.
