Apparently a great percentage of our Govt became a citizen in another country and this is the guide of fighting a foreign enemy. There seems to be nothing more difficult than fighting your own govt. We didn't want a govt this big. We don't need one this big. I say we empower say,.....Trump and insist that 80% of this is gone. Term limits. It's civil service, yet there am unpresidented amount of secret and classified docs/info. Bullshit. We pay the bills. If your gonna live in our house. You live by our rules. Does anybody else remember that rule growing up? Well that is our house yet they make the rules and we pay with our blood. It must stop.
This man has a very powerful voice and presence. Imagine how much better the United States would be if everything he spoke to was implemented immediately and effectively. Chip Roy is one of my favorite "politicians".

@stephaniekalota8355 Seriously... and that's coming from a combat veteran. Give me a quote about either of those two things that was incorrect. Allowing women in combat roles will go down in history as one of the worst decisions that the Dept of Defense ever made, in the name of equality. And he didn't simply vote no on the "Pact Act" merely to spite our service members. He raised serious concerns about the VAs ability to implement the program, and rightly so, looking at their outrageously poor record for providing care for my fellow vets. Just because something hurts your feelings doesn't make it wrong, and maybe if you stop relying on CNN or MSNBC to let you know how you should be feeling about something, you would know better.

@vanessapontious5097 no, they did not. A later addition to it that Senator Pat Toomey said was pork barrel spending and the funding that not going to veterans was a lie. It was the funding needed that the VA recommended from the AIR Commission. That Commission was to identify what VA facilities need to be created, downgraded, or closed based on estimated veteran population changes. The original legislation was killed because everyone took offense to the facilities that were marked to be closed or downgraded. But this meant the funding to create new facilities was killed also. So the funding for that was added to the PACT Act. Its mostly in the bottom half of the act on Congress.gov. You read it for yourself. That part is in plain language.
This guy should have been speaker of the house. He has the American people at heart and he would have done the job for us. He has balls like Trump.

Folks like AOC and Chip Roy are terrible leaders because normal people are repelled by their dogmatism and take no prisoner attitude. If the goal is simply to get power, we did that in 2016. We had it all and guess what? We blew it. Huge deficit, Trump tweeting and throwing temper tantrum and losing any possibility of being an effective advocate for policies, lots of yapping about evil democrats. The voters repaid us in 2018.

Stop spending our money on crap its time to stop this nonsense. I keep getting new bike lanes in my town but the streets have potholes everywhere. Homeless people living in tents in the cities. But we cannot pave streets and bridges are falling apart literally. Shut the lights off no more continuing resolutions.
They should not be allowed to have any sort of recess until the budget is passed. They have all this time there is no reason why they should pass the September 30th deadline and do another continuing resolution when they have an entire month plus some to figure it out. They have no business taking a break. We the people pay their salaries. We should approve or disapprove their " recess". I for one say they need to get their work done first and then take a break.
