Long time viewer but first time commenting thank you for all your teaching, I am relatively new diver and definitely new in the you spearfishing thanks to you; My 10 years old twins are amazed with your technique and they want to be watching your videos all the time. Thank you for your teaching, keep them coming
Capt. Dan, love the way you handed off the bleeding fish. That way when the sharks come in your dive buddy gets eaten. Wish I had thought of that. Great Video.
Dan there were enough jacks there to feed a small country. Great seeing that many fish in one place. Since I don’t dive I was thinking sure would love to drop a live bait down there. Great video brother
I'm a water lover got my own tanks and tickets but watching how deep you dive is next level.. I' would love to be able to do what you do. here in new Zealand... thanks for the inspiration
I wonder how common those sink holes are. Most people are familiar with blue holes like in Belize etc but to see a similar thing that’s already 160 feet plus down is insane and breathtaking.
Just love the topside banter! Great video…mesmerizing. Good control not to shoot snapper. You really don’t get the scale of the fish until it goes over the side of boat. Then it’s damn, that’s huge! Thanks, Dan.
Good timing to watch your commercial fishing . Just tested positive to Covid-19. Getting better and I had the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in March. Stay safe!
hey man, reckon you could show your fish finder before you dive? so we could see what fish look like under water!! thanks all the way over from sydney australia!
Humble experienced professional with a sense of humor! Old school proven techniques with modern equipment. Imagine if a GoPro existed 30 plus years ago? Thanks for sharing Dan. How them Suzuki’s holding up?
Hey GH, thanks and boy what I would give to have had gopro's for the last 30 years! I am extremely grateful for having them in the twilight of my career though! Those Suzukis are amazing, I appreciate the fuel savings but their "4 wheel drive" performance in the rough stuff is hard to believe. I love 'em! Best, Dan
Dan, I’m a bit curious. Do you guys don’t feel cold down there? Have’nt seen you or your buddy wearing a wetsuit. Is it advisable not to wear one when diving with a tank? Thanks
To do so the AJ would have to be close enough , and moving upward , so the shaft would stay in the gun to be sure you did not lose the shaft . It has to be moving upward so the diver can grab it before it sinks much to keep from having to move down to get the fish . Tricky to do but I have seen him do it before .
Capt Dan I love your channel so much you have a lifetime subscriber from me buddy and you should also consider having a knife with you I think it'll be easier ether way I love you channel
He works in the USA and dives off the west coast of Florida to Commercial Fishing in the Gulf of Mexico . Normally over 100 miles off-shore in Federal waters , and normally over 150 feet down . No people using snorkels can make it where this fella is Fishing .
S10B, because that's where the Kracken lives.....! Lol.... In all seriousness, there's just nothing down there I'm interested in. Also, the water down in those things is usually Hypoxic and won't support fish life. I did give some scientist the numbers to a small spring in 100' and they dove it maybe 100' under the sea floor. Opened up to a giant football field sized room. Can't wait to see some pics of it! Best, Dan
@@danmacmahon3973 Ok makes sense, especially if you are diving commercial. I am from DownUnder, and something like that would generally be lined with rocky ledges and filled with Lobster!! :) and all the fish who live with them. Cheers Man.
YB, I'd guess 100'-125', give or take. There's another one in that area thats a little deeper and a lot bigger. I'm going to try and film it this year if conditions allow! Best, Dan
Hey HD, yes I saw him. Those springs almost always have Sharks on them so unless it's a "special" one, they're just expected. I did have a big Mako roll in on that spot one dive and you can bet I pointed him out! Best, Dan
YB, yes, it absolutely would. I've actually taken a reel gun down on similar springs and speared cuberas/Blacks. I really didn't have a lot of interest in that Cubera but enjoyed the close up fly by he gave me. Pretty Cool. Best, Dan
Man I need whatever shark away you're using. Blue runners and rainbow runners all through the column and no big tiger or bull shark harrassing you, that doesnt seem right.

Dan always a pleasure to your work brother. Safe and sound is key. Stay safe and keep the videos coming, we enjoy them.

Great shooting Dan! I am a freediver spearfishing guy in Singapore. Love the clear blue waters!
Thank you GC, much appreciated! The clearest water in any of my videos is "Warsaw Break"...check it out! Best to you over there in Singapore! Dan
Beautiful dive! Thanks for the view.
Nice idol what a beautiful spot thank you for sharing your adventures
TB, that is a really beautiful Spring....I always enjoy diving it! Best, Dan
Great video as always looking forward to the next one.

Bro you have a good aim
That is pretty incredible.
Underwater sniper!! Great job!
I can’t wait to watch
Wow! Talk about some beautiful scenery indeed! I'm wondering why so many of the like that spring?
Lot of nice Almaco’s hanging around
Never thought my fear of heights could set in underwater! Im getting nowhere near that hole!
Good video
Oh Dan that deep water looked inviting....need a shed load of gas to go look see lol
The best of all bravo
What does that look like on the depth finder . Wow
hey man, reckon you could show your fish finder before you dive? so we could see what fish look like under water!! thanks all the way over from sydney australia!
11:04 I haven't seen rainbow runners off our coast before
Amazing footage Dan! Nice AJ. Looks like there might be a large wreck dangling on the side of the spring? Were those cables that you swam over?

It was a beautiful seeing
Where can I get one of those fish stringers? Going to try it on some Fluke.
Hello DAN, where can I buy this speargun?
Great video! What were those fish you first saw up in the column? Not the AJs
No vertical jig would get past that Army of jacks LOL
right you are Capt. Collier , and your bait would never make it to the bottom
Is that black hole ground in Gulf of Mexico closer to fla or what? I need to know bro
Wow thats some big hole down there.
Dan, I’m a bit curious. Do you guys don’t feel cold down there? Have’nt seen you or your buddy wearing a wetsuit. Is it advisable not to wear one when diving with a tank? Thanks
The gulf in my area right now is 87 degrees. It's warm.
Wow, all those a j's, did y'all hook and any while you were there? Great video as usual, you're the best.
To take an AJ for Commercial License they must be at least 3 feet long . Most all we saw in this video were shorter than 3 feet .
Great scenery down there! So let me ask...... what prevents you from thumping AJ's on the ascent?
To do so the AJ would have to be close enough , and moving upward , so the shaft would stay in the gun to be sure you did not lose the shaft . It has to be moving upward so the diver can grab it before it sinks much to keep from having to move down to get the fish . Tricky to do but I have seen him do it before .

I didn’t realize you could use a power head ? 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
Here only in Federal waters , and even then have to be at least so far off the coast .
Which country do you live in? I want to come to you I love fishing, a skilled fisherman, I am from Palestine and I hope for a reply 😊❤️

Underwater freshwater springs! Crazy!
You always call at the sharks in your videos did you see the one at 3:01?
Hey HD, yes I saw him. Those springs almost always have Sharks on them so unless it's a "special" one, they're just expected. I did have a big Mako roll in on that spot one dive and you can bet I pointed him out! Best, Dan
Shoot! That's when it would benefit you to have a quick and easy way to attach a line to the shaft.
No?
No easy and quick way?

it appears all AJ in the gulf come from that hole.
Where do you get your powerheads from?
Jonny, I have a local machine shop make the sleeves and do the rest myself. Best, Dan

Porque cubren la punta de la barilla ??
Is that a big ass hole in the ground?? Must be hela deep
