I love the sign! Always enjoy seeing old signs but I hate to see when they are not kept up. It would be great if the signs went into the sign museum that you were speaking of in the video. Loved seeing the old cars too. It is so sad to see this restaurant close. The hot fudge cake reminds me of the Shoney's hot fudge cake I used to get. I'm glad you were able to document the Mainliner Restaurant before it completely closed. Excellent video!!!!
@vafunseekers The Sign is great. I'm glad I have the video from 2018 when it had the working propellers. Our waitress gave us a little Extra with the Hot Fudge Cake! She was very nice. I only wish we had been there a week sooner to see the memorabilia. Thanks for Watching and we'll see you on your Live tonight!
Thanks guys for a last look at the beloved Frisch's Mainliner. Went there often for over 40 years. BTW: Lunken Airport is the small (now private) airport close by to this Frisch's location. It was once Cincinnati 's main Airport until Cincinnati- Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG) was built in Covington, KY.
I was amazed at how small the building that housed the Frisches in Piqua was. I believe it was closed before we moved there in 1990. Now Troy's Frisches is closed. It's sad to see iconic restaurants disappear.
@@followthearrows my wife was the last employee hired at The Spot restaurant in Piqua before they closed. The building was torn down and a pharmacy sits there now. Before they closed they ran out of food daily because everyone wanted to go there one last time and have their specialty pie.
It's sad that such iconic restaurants are being closed. I would've thought with all of the wealth in Cincinnati that someone would have stepped up to save the chain. However, I get it. The owners were most likely too far gone to save it.

Thanks for the last showing of the Big Boy. I have never been to that particular one, but they are dropping out quickly. Keep up the nice work :)
@MiamisburgJay You would have liked this one. Thanks for Watching!

@@homefrontforge Very interesting. It's amazing how business picks up after a closing is announced.
The Frisch's Big Boy in TROY just closed forever.... I kid you not I teared up in my car while I drove by and read the sign. It was my mom's favorite.
Very sad. Thanks for Watching and sharing your memories.

@ORIGINALSECRETSCRATCHER It would have been nice to keep this one with all of its history. Thanks for Watching!
Such a sad year for Cincinnati. Pete Rose passing, Gerry Faust, and now Frisch’s going away.
@monkeydui7241 Very true. Thanks for Watching!
My uncle was a manager there years ago before I was born in believe 😉
@ricomartin8720 Thanks for Watching and sharing your memories!
Lunken airport is maybe 5 minuets away from the Mainliner. And it is in Ohio not Kentucky.
@fiedogg8861 You are correct, it is in Ohio. Thanks for Watching!
Well they are behind on there rent so lots more will be closing
@KirkDavis-v7q Very true. Thanks for Watching!
