They are not the only one under so much pressure believe me spor life is so hard you have to work all day and you just cant give up and you just cant eat everything you want sometimes your friends goes out but you cant because you have to go training all sportsman/womans can relate that
the sweet Sweety I’m a gymnast I have a lot of pressure put on my and I’m a beginner they told me I wasn’t good enough o go into a higher class because I fell off the balance beam once and failed at a cartwheel once because I hurt my ankle so I’m doing gymnastics at home now but my mom puts a lot of pressure on me so I can go back into gymnastics
People need to remember we have so many injuries so many tears go into the sport the pain the wanting to give up but fighting we are normal people and we sometimes want to give up let it go it’s a stressful sport but we fight threw we are not perfect!

Rebecca Bross injury on her Vault landed made me feel sorry for. Same for Nastia Liukin on her fall when she was not able to get a good grip the uneven bars. It's elated to see the women's 2012 Olympic gymnastic teams joyful and/or hugging; and also how Aly (Alexandra) Raisman is at other competitions. Madison Kocian too.
When she fell to the ground it just hit me I’m currently in a small injury and it’s fine but that effects her gymnastics that she’s been working on for decades and I’m just starting netball

People need to understand the pain and tears that go into this sport. people say “why do you do it if it’s so painful” it’s cause love stops us. Gymnastics is a sport where no matter where you are you have to love it to do it and it’s like when you stop doing it, apart of you is ripped out. i’m a level 5 and it’s so fustrating and this sport gave me anxiety and made me have bruises and blisters everywhere, but i taught me how to be brave, how to love, and how to push through any obstacles, it taught me discipline and how to control my body. This sport is so painful physically and definitely mentally but it’s the best thing that has happened to me and i wouldn’t give it up for the world
Always Respect and Appreciate every athlete pushing to the limit in pursuit of the podium. Out of compassion for those striving to make gymnastics better I will stand and support.

I'm a gymnast myself, the littlest injury could get u disqualified the sport is harder than it looks, some injuries can even leave u paralysed and that's not even the worst that could happen
Honestly, before i got kicked of the team ( mental health ) i wasn't even nearly this good, and to be honest i'll never be.. I only did regional competitions ( never left the country for a competition ) but in some way the way they looked when they won did hit me... I still trained 10 years, and when i think back at it that moment where you finally won a competition after so much hard work is unbelievable.. I'm nowhere near as good again, but in some form i do understand that.. Or the way that when you messed up you'd rather sink through the ground and never come back.. Idk i just wanted to say this..
When I was a kid I did gymnastics and I had to stop because of the injuries and the pressure of the coach and I wasn´t even a professional so everyone who made it this far in gymnastics has my huge respect
Gymnasts are expected to do all this crazy stuff and flip around and be able to do things most people can’t but you have to remember that we are humans to we can get jealous if people in the same level as us have harder skills and sometimes we just want to quit because when we see what people that aren’t stuck practicing get to do and the things we miss out on which is why I wish people treated us more human then robots that can do all this crazy stuff cause it gets stressful

Being a gymnast is tuff… Especially when you fail… Tho every gymnast fails sometimes like me… But everyone fails and you learn from your mistakes so failing is ok! Bc everyone fails! I hate how when coaches are like “oh you have been doing these for how long? You should not be wobbling and falling, it’s not hard” yea right if this stuff wasn’t hard everyone would do it. It is hard, ask a non-gymnast, football player, even cheerleader to do it

Also in a 1973 USSR documentary about her, during the London championships, she had an ankle injury and in the vault finals did the first vault, but she couldn't handle her injury and during the "second vault" did an empty run and walks off podium, the she starts to cry. Being a gymnast is really tough; those times which Olga cried were because she felt dissapointed of herself and thought that people was dissapointed of her as well, in the times that people thought she was crying because she couldn't get the medals (maybe due the known nature of the soviet program). Also Ludmilla Tourischeva, she cried after the FX in Montreal 1976, she knew that the Montreal Olympic Games were the end of her gymnastics carreer.
The standards set for women gymnasts should be brought down to be easier. These are 15-18 year olds not robots. one mistake will affects there future for ever.
