Thank you David Hoffman. The comments are indeed somewhat unhinged. I look forward to more of Dr Mintz’s clips. Especially something about the sexism of the Playboy lifestyle and conservativeness of the ‘Liberals’ of the time. I’ve been enjoying all of the clips about the 1950s to 1970s transitions. If you get a chance a collaboration between you and ‘The History Guy’ channel, could be super interesting.
Beeblebrox One I’m not passing judgement in my request, and that’s not exactly what I was talking about. The Playboy doctrine was incredibly liberating....for one gender mostly, and per se reflected the society or channeled it. For more thought-provoking, I’d recommend the 1973 (‘74?) version of Lina Wertmuller’s film, Swept Away. Puttana industriale !!
I don't care what he has to say about the counterculture movement, I want him to tell us what it was like to see the signing of the Treaty of Appomattox in person!
The cultural Revolution showed itself a Huxleyan dystopia. That’s teve unavoidably sad reality we face today.
So we went from prudery to anything goes. I'm not sure how it has gotten better.
I love his way of talking. And of course he has some very interesting things to say.
And all of these changes have proved to be disastrous.

What a smart, well-spoken man. These videos have great value! Greetings from Germany :)
So much changed in one decade.
No hands or arms are needed by this guy to express his on-the-moment mix of education and genuinity. Thanks Abe
Where can we find the whole interview? This is awesome.
Contraceptive is my favorite four-letter word

always interesting
All of that just sounds like wonderful changes! As long as the individual is more liberated, I'm all for it.
individualism is destroying the world
And they all lived happily ever after. Jk lol
