Funnily enough it's the opposite for me. In Asia (Philippines) I always felt the need to fit in and not gain too much attention, while here in Germany I wear anything I want, with black or red lipstick and heavy boots. But I think it's because people here don't really judge you for your outfits the same way they do in Asia
Oh yep.south asia too is all about what you wear.Women specially will pull down other women for their makeup, hair do and clothes.weddings are a nightmare if u dont want to shimmer from tip to toe 🙄

Nah not all Asia. In Malaysia you can see womens in their 20-30ies wearing pajamas outside. And men wearing croptop or regular t shirt and shorts.
We dont really care what you wear here unless there are occasions like wedding ect.
I think the reason is still the same though. She dresses less fancily in Germany because people judge her less and you dress more fancily for the same reason.
That's because you can get scammed more if you wear fancy stuff in the Philippines. Not all the time but vendors and taxi drivers hiking up the price does happen often

@@NLJeffEU I think he meant in terms of dressing, how one wants to, I've heard a lot from relatives who live in Germany about how one is expected to dress in very specific ways for very specific situations, like if you're chilling, you need to dress in a specific way, if you are going to the store, you need to dress in the specific way, a I think the main difference is that one isn't expected to drown oneself in makeup while they are there (please note that all of this is second hand knowledge, so I really wouldn't know)
