  • Well, my time fishing the CATT - James River division bass tournament was a fun one. While I can't say the results were exactly where I wanted to be (a 32nd place out of 52 boats), filling out a 5 fish limit was the first goal. Tournaments are an aspect of fishing that I'm looking to improve and I'd call this a win for my first legit derby in my new boat.

Good video, you stuck to the plan and it worked out. It sounds like you may have lost a big one early. I suggest if you're not pitching and skipping a jig make it part of the routine. Green Pumpkin and Black Blue 1/2 oz with Rage Bug trailers same colors. They usually get a bigger bite. I give you and A+ on language. Good Luck

Thanks Patrick! It was a great learning experience, especially on tournament strategy. I knew where/when I’d find the bites, just couldn’t find the bigger bites.
That feedback is exactly what I’m looking for-I use the dropshot as a crutch and I certainly need to get away from that… I’ve got the jigs + trailers in the box, just need to force myself to use them.

Great video bud. I've fished there before, it's tough! Keep grinding, bro!
