Just joining. Found you through a Junk Journal gal I follow. Before I was hacked and lost my account (grrrrr) my "name" was SewSoSlow. My hubby was being funny, yet truthful. What can I say? I love the process of sewing and creating. I first stitched something on a real sewing machine at the age 4. My great-grandmother had to sit beside me with one foot on the treadle as I couldn't quite do it myself (not enough strength after stretching my legs to reach the treadle). At 7 years old I cut & sewed (except the zipper) a dress all by myself. Meanwhile I was learning hand stitching, crochet and at 9 I taught myself quilt block design & piecing then quilting from a book I found in the library. It was so much fun for me to then teach my mom something since she had taught me everything else. Looking forward to giving this a go. Thank you Anne for getting something like this started and then including all who want to join in.
I have never seen your channel before I do not believe however I have heard of you before. And I had started a slow Stitch book and it's actually about the same size as yours. I have never done slow stitching without prompts as I have done two projects watching Rachel at Roxy's creation. But I was wanting to just do something on my own and so I have done 3 pages and I am on my 4th. So I was looking for other ideas and came across your channel. You do amazing work and I just adore these two pages. So very helpful thank you so much I will be subscribing and following.
I've been collecting fabrics, buttons, and patches from my children's clothes since they were born and now I know what to do with all the bits! Thank you! 💕
Thank you for your tutorials. Love them and really enjoy, owing to the fact I am a left hander. You speak so very clearly also...........a pleasure to listen too❤
Oh Anne, I’m SO excited about this fabric book🤗🤗🤗 I honestly had thought about asking if you would possibly do one....it’s something that I was going to try on my own, but now here you are doing one❣️❣️❣️❣️ I did not know how I was going to actually put the pages together so I was SO pleased to see how you did that....thank you SO MUCH for showing the base of the book and how to put it together...YAY🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷 Wonderful inspiration all ready💝💝💝💝💝 Take care🎀 Smiles, Deborah 🌝🎶💐
I’ve been wanting to do small hand sewing and embroidery projects lately. I did it many years ago and now I need something to do in small increments while I’m taking care of my two beautiful grandchildren❤️❤️It’s a mental thing for me. I tried starting a EEP hexi quilt but my fingers aren’t going to let me finish it. This project has answered my prayers! I know I’m very, very late but I hope I’m able to get thru all your videos. Thank you so very much for sharing!
Hi Anne. I just discovered your website and this wonderful book project. Loving the videos too. I'm a newbie as far as stitching goes, and I'm having a ball learning all about making books and fabric collage and just can't stop looking at the wonderful coloured threads everywhere! I'm very late to the ball, I know. But I'm hoping that I can still follow along, using these great instructional videos, and your very inspiring Instagram feed. I'm a photographer usually (pixel plucker!) and I'm thrilled to see that you are too. Thanks so much for inspiring me, Downunder, in rural Australia.
Im super late to this - I’ve been looking at the FB posts for months. But I’m starting now. I’m not a very experienced stitcher but I’m hoping this will be the start of more stitching for me. Thank you so much for the lovely video, with such clear and simple explanations. I’ll watch it over and over again. It’s so absorbing 🙂
Hello my name is Marlene, I just watched the video about making the fabric books I'm not exactly going to make mine as big as yours but I got it I got a little bit of batting / wadding that I can use and maybe make four pages but I'm just beginning to learn how to do this stuff thank you so much for the inspirational video and I will be watching from now on thank you so much again
Awesome Anne I’m doin the @52 tagsHanneMade and I’m doin the way #sew4thesoulbook can’t stop. I hear you about revisiting the piece i stare at it and things change
So happy to continue onto this sew4thesoul project with you. You have me completely addicted to this stitching.Had to make my pages with felt and cotton scraps as that is all I have on hand. Just finishing my first two pages. Sticking to straight stitches only is challenging. Will post pictures on Instagram and my UA-cam video soon. Thanks for the inspiration 💕🇨🇦🤗
Thank you for teaching how to do a book with fabric. I have been wanting to make one so I will be following along and doing the lessons. I am so excited to be doing this.
This is another great idea Anne ❤ l am currently making a sewing sampler fabric journal and have some blank pages that need some stitching examples this is perfect for that, l am looking forward to stitch along with you and the others around the world. Hugs Susanna xx 😊❤
Last week my sister send me your video you tube , and I have already looked almost everything. I started yesterday with this project, and I love it. Thank you for sharing.
Eek how exciting Anne! :) I am just finishing off a fabric book to contain some other work I have been doing over lock down, but looking so forward to starting your new challenge :) Off to cut my cotton wadding .....x
can't wait to get started on this project. ordered some cotton wadding and it should be here in a few days. This is going to be another addictive project, but one I am really looking forward to. thank you so much for doing this
Loving this series! Been a long time since I have done hand stitching in a project, but I think it will be relaxing and fun. Can't wait to get started and follow along with your great instructions! TFS the inspiration!

I’m always the one to pray for others now all by myself after 42 years of my love now don’t know what or how to get started please help me in prayer your 2pages are gorgeous. Maybe I’ll just watch like I’ve been doing sence he’s not here and then this 🦠witch gave me a excuse to stay home for that’s all I want to do . All I do is cry one more reason to stay home . Love you all you have no idea how much you have helped me thew my grieving. God bless every thing you touch.
It would be a lovely idea to incorporate the clothing into your book. I hope you find the strength to have a go as stitch is really good for your soul xxx
Finally finished my snippet roll! It’s 7” wide and almost a yard long. I was going to add bead embellishments but am starting my book. Am loving your prompts to create something memorable during this time especially. Have just ordered some sashimi needles in case they may be the missing link I need to become an accomplished embroiderer 😄
This is so great because I just bought a piece of wadding like yours that I can use for this project so I really hope to join in. Love your videos and your projects.
Jan. 4, 2021 I've just come across your videos and I am intrigued! I'm going to follow along with you....late, this is something I have always wanted to do. Your tutorial is fantastic. Thank you!
New to your channel. I love your work. I started on this fabric book. I got the first two pages done and was wondering when the next two pages are going to be on here! Cant wait !
Fabulous idea! I have started picking out some fabrics and drew out some ideas. Thinking about how you could sew in journaling pages just in one section. Thank you for challenge #2. Hugs🐬
I’ve just come across your tutorial. I’m a newbie at slow stitching. Is there a list of the different episodes with the prompts that go with each one. This is a bit overwhelming for me to figure out. Many thanks form Texas, USA.
Anne, I’m so happy to have found your channel (through Roxy Creations maybe?). I really interested where you get your threads. I’m in the States and the local stores mostly just sell DMC floss. Which are lovely for many things. But I’d love to know where I could find the variety of threads you have there on your table. Maybe they’re more available at stores in the UK. But if you’ve got some online suggestions, I’d love to hear. Sewing/embroidery just isn’t as popular, at least in my part of the U.S. and so you can’t find these kinds of threads in stores. Any suggesstions would be most welcome. Love the projects you’ve been doing!
Me too! I would love the varieties of threads, some are thin( like silk) or thick or stronger- can do you changes-? What. type needle or type you used? Thanks a bunch
Where and hw do we post pics of the pages and work we have done. Sorry have forgotten what you said!! So enjoying it. I also work at a senior school (counselor) and have been keeping myself sane and busy over COVID>
Hello! I am just starting your Sew4thSoulBook. So exciting! I hope you see this question, but how many pages in each of the 3 sections? If you mentioned it I missed it, sorry.
This is just what I’ve been looking for. I’ve started sewing on cotton...red & white, random pieces....( don’t really know what I’m doing 😂) I’m wondering if I can convert it to your book, as I’ve done 3 double pages. Maybe I might start again. Thank you.
Anne Brooke Textile Artist 😀 that gives me confidence. Thank you, & I have thought a way around it, as mine can be. The centre pages of the signatures.
Anne, how do you order batting? I have some but when you pull on it it streaches so what do you say about the loft, new word for me. I really want to do this project. It looks so fun and exciting 😊

So I’m new to this. Love the idea but certainly struggling with putting anything together that looks like what you do. I’m also struggling with the book format. Makes it harder to stitch. Has anyone done the pages first and then put them together? That seems like it would be easier for sure.
Love this idea but have a quick question. How do you sew on the pages that are backed by the first pages without having stitches mess up the first page?
Love your work, beautiful. I am new to slow stitching. I have embroidered in the past but its been awhile. I have a question...I bought some wadding, do I have to do anything to it before starting, like preshrink? Tfs
I have just sewn my pages together and want to get started.... but, what page do I start on??? the back of the first page or second....I have been trying to count the pages from your video but can't really tell. I understand that we will make a cover later .
Je vais commencer ce magnifique livre car j’ai plein de morceaux de tissus ideal pour commencer 😊mais j’aimerais savoir combien de tissus principaux il faut couper ? Enfin combien de pages combien à ce livre? Bonne couture bises de France ❤

Hello! I am just starting your Sew4thSoulBook. So exciting! I hope you see this question, but how many pages in each of the 3 sections? If you mentioned it I missed it, sorry.
There are 4 sets of double pages made from 2 pieces of fabric folded in half
Hope that makes sense
Anne Brooke Textile Artist yes. Thank you.
Inside front page- you could tack the circle like a page in a book and then you can pull it up to see what is underneath
This is just what I’ve been looking for. I’ve started sewing on cotton...red & white, random pieces....( don’t really know what I’m doing 😂) I’m wondering if I can convert it to your book, as I’ve done 3 double pages. Maybe I might start again. Thank you.
I dont know what I am doing when I start, just go with the flow
Anne Brooke Textile Artist 😀 that gives me confidence. Thank you, & I have thought a way around it, as mine can be. The centre pages of the signatures.
Anne, how do you order batting? I have some but when you pull on it it streaches so what do you say about the loft, new word for me. I really want to do this project. It looks so fun and exciting 😊

People have done it both ways xx
Awsome
Can i ask which brand wadding you got please? There's lots on the website you mentioned x
100% cotton
Love this idea but have a quick question. How do you sew on the pages that are backed by the first pages without having stitches mess up the first page?
This is just the filling, we will be adding a cover later
So does that mean we start on the back of the first page and when finished with entire book we add the cover ?@@AnneBrookeTextileArtist
Lovely
Love your work, beautiful. I am new to slow stitching. I have embroidered in the past but its been awhile. I have a question...I bought some wadding, do I have to do anything to it before starting, like preshrink? Tfs
No as the piece wont be washed
Did I miss it? How many pages do you have in your book?
4 sets of 2 folded pieces of fabric
@@AnneBrookeTextileArtist Thank you.

There are 12 double pages in the book. The first video shows its construction
Where do you purchase the various threads you use in this project?
A variety of places online and from shops. Used Perle, danish cotton and linen threads xx
I really want to make one of these journals but couldn't get my head round the stitching of the pages to make the book
You can use any type of stitching, mine is just one way xx
