Create value and you can ask for the right price. The cost of a poor service or product is more expensive then a job well done.

Keith i just want to let u know this sounds like my life at the monent. At times I feel like that I can do better off charging more per hr for my services and stick to only one helper, rather than trying to micromanage a group of guys. Its so difficult trying to find workers who can match "our" level of work. I find myself having to babysit guys just to make sure theu get the job done as i Would. I think my niche is precision hedge trimming. I love feeling like im giving boxwoods and arborviatae hedges a nice line up, taper or fade.... i know it sounds crazy but a lot of us will pay good money for a good haircut from a good barber! Customers will do the same thing when it comes to the appearance of the house/yard!!

I used to be the "$35 a week, Guy". Thanks to Keith's content. Im no longer that "Guy". I've never met Keith & yet he is the 1 person who has helped me the most with my business. The fear is gone. I confidently charge $100 an hour. Prices are not negotiable.

After failing with my first landscaping business a few years back. I went back to doing helicopter power line work. Now my body has been destroyed from literally working myself to death doing it. Now a year later after a severe neck surgery. Im restarting my business from the ground up.
The past three months I have hustled just to get money coming in, now im setting up for my first (expand the top dissolve the bottom) This video is exactly what I needed to hear today brother. Thank you so much for the content.
I'm listening to your podcast every work day on repeat with a mix of Allan Watts for philosophy and perspective on life.
I love your messages, and Im following your steps to a T. Once the seasons change and work starts slowing down for winter. I am going to enroll in your one on one coaching, and keep investing in my knowledge to build a business, and can honestly be proud of myself.
Stay safe my friend and look forward to more gold nuggets!

@@ralfrudiger7276 trust me, helicopter power line work was waaaaaay worse on my body. Hanging in a harness suspended under a helicopter 7 days a week for 10 or so hours a day.
Now don't think I'm not at all saying landscaping is a cake walk, as it's definitely not!
I've done both and landscaping is just easier on my body than what I was doing before.

Question to anyone willing to answer- Is ir required to have Landscaping license to start? I have all the equipment and California says a license is required for projects over $500 but i dont ill be doing those anytime soon. What are yall thoughts on this? Should i give it full throttle or no?

Keith, this would be a great book. I have been through this before. I have had short term customers that tried to tell me that they had no money, but their neighbors had Ferraris and Roll Royce in the driveway. I didn't believe them. I have a new customer who says she doesn't have the money but has contractors rehabbing her house and she owns the neighboring house also. I don't believe her, but I keep doing work for her because she pays immediately.
