    I really appreciate your videos and your guests, I am going to Thailand for the first time and also the first time to Asia In July.
    Your videos give me good advice.
    I am a solo traveler and I am a little afraid of the trip, but you help a lot.
    I watched all of your videos and I studied many usable things from them. Especially to be careful with the girls :) but also, where can I find good places, etc etc.
    So thx !! from Europe.

      @BG-zl4dg - I am a frequent traveler of Thailand and I can assure you that there is nothing to fear! Last year, 2023, I spent two months in Bangkok from California, and I felt safer in Thailand than in my own home city in the US. The most dangerous part of Thailand, especially in Bangkok, is riding motorbikes and cars do not stop for pedestrians like they do in the West. You're more likely to be scammed than be violently assaulted. The 5 major scams you have to watch out for are: 1. Broken meter taxi scam 2. Tuk Tuk taxi scam 3. Motorbike rental damage scam 4. Jet ski damage scam 5. Bar girl scam. Before entering a taxi, ask if the meter is working. If it's broken, get another taxi with a working meter. If a Tuk Tuk driver offers you a city tour for a very low price, he will take you to jewelry stores and tailor stores along the way. The driver receives a commission for the tourists he brings to the business. Use GRAB which is like Uber and you'll know exactly how much the ride will be. Just download the app. The motorbike and jet ski scam are the same. The rental office will accuse you of damage that was pre-existing. Just take a video of the bike or jet ski before use and point out any damage you find. Lastly, DO NOT fall in love with a bar girl no matter how much she loves you! Bar girls have many foreign men who send her money via Western Union every month. NO MONEY, NO HONEY! Fall in love with a normal Thai woman who works at a regular office job. Be careful, you will fall in love with Thailand and its people! You will find ways to extend your stay. Once you get home, all you think about is how to get back to Thailand. It will become an obsession. Your obsession will lead you to move to Thailand permanently! It happened to me.

The people, food, culture, women, variety, parks, temples.....it got my heart & soul, and glad you are thriving, found where you belong, and digging this podcast! Mahalo🤙🏽

    Come to a secret place call Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Less crowded, lesser pollution. Modern. Plus we have nice beaches and duty free islands too. Plus mountains and beautiful nature. 😂

      No Kuala Lumpur is totally generic and nothing like Bangkok. Bangkok is number one visited city in the world for a reason. It can't compare in any way.

    Been there done that. Former expat kid. Dad worked for the world bank. Went to Bangkok International School in the 90s. Bangkok was our playground. Middle school and partying in the city. Just imagine being in 7th to 10th grade living in Bangkok. Lmao 🤣 those were the days!

    How is Pastel or Sing Sing theatre for a solo traveller?

    • @OneNightinBangkok_
      @OneNightinBangkok_  7 місяців тому +2

      I think Pastel is better as a “date” spot. Sing sing is doable alone, but it depends how comfortable you are in a nightclub environment

      @@OneNightinBangkok_ Thanks. I’m after a more normal night out listening to good music not a “Nana plaza” evening.

    Love your Podcast but I always get a little bit frustated when you guys only talk about places like Phuket or Pattaya.
    It sounds like if there are no alternatives....
    There are definitely much better places within this beautiful country.

      Oh trust me- I’m really biggest advocate of other places in Thailand. It’s just that my friend visited and we went there so that’s what we talked about.
