A lot of top South African cricketers have been forgotten because of their lack of success in the World Cup and having not played in IPL. We had many players that were just as good as the Aussies talent wise, but because we didn't win the WC, they've been somewhat forgotten. Then add to the fact they missed out on IPL, and that hasn't helped. Gibbs, Klusener, Boucher, Donald, Rhodes where just as good as any of the Aussies in equivalent positions but are barely mentioned nowadays.

@@TheBrendan737 South Africa 🇿🇦 was the strongest team when Pollock and Donald started sharing the new ball from 1997 to 1999. They lost the momentum due to World Cup Loss and Match Fixing Scandals. Australia 🇦🇺 went on to become better after 1999. It’s like the fight between USA and USSR. USSR lost the Cold War after 1991 breakup and people only discuss about USA.
