Thank you for changing the thumb nail and showing Jeff the respect he has earned by anyone who has ever heard him play. I am old enough to have seen him as a very young guitarist. And from that fist listen to the last...no one moved my soul to music more then him.

I wonder why he ditched the Jacksons for the most part. The neck through Soloists sustain for days.

@@analogman9697he had said in interviews that they were “a bit heavy metal” looking. He later said that that era was uncomfortable for him.

I get that. Look at the cars he drove. He probably hated the "Flash" album, but that solo on "Ambitious" is my all time fave.@@Diax1324

Man, I love the direct conversational tone of your videos. Not talking about your guitar tone (though, that's always great too)

@@marbinmusic I actually got to jam with Mr Beck once. It’s true! I did ok and earned a smiling nod from him. (I’d send a photo of it but I don’t see an option for that here.)

Your video is, in my opinion, the most informative I have seen with regard to Jeff Beck's technique and tone. I have been playing Strats and enjoying Jeff Beck for over 50 years. Yikes, how did that happen?! One of your best tips (and most well keep secrets) was simply pulling the trem into the harmonic to 'lock it in' and make it ring. Once I discovered that by accident many years ago I felt like I had hit the jackpot! This alone will be a game changer for a lot of young players. I love what you do, Dani. Your videos have always been my favorites and are still teaching this old dog new tricks. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for this video! You have some great insights into dialing in his tone & playing techniques. Really useful! The 2 spring set up is interesting, I remember seeing a video w Carl Verheyen discussing the beck bridge setup & if I remember correctly he said beck had his setup to float. Something like all 3 treble strings would sound a Bbm chord when fully raised.

very good inspiring lesson ! for me some mystery are cleared - thanks for it ! One question - how to dial in the reverb/delay sound ? I´m not so in this effect sounds, so right hand technics is for me more easy than to find the good fitting sounds on reverb/delay - could you please give some ideas ? JB was for me the absoute master of playing vocal like emotional expression, going deep under the skin....

Cheers, Dani. Since you have probably forgotten more about Jeff Beck than the rest of us will ever know you might be best suited to answer this age-old question: I personally love to play Jeff's "Where Were you?" but I can do it only on my guitars with hot Humbuckers in order to pull of the less-natural harmonics... like the crazy one that creates the crescendo on the 3d fret of the G string. I'm sure you know the one. While this was executed brilliantly in the studio back in '89 most us never saw Jeff pull this off in the same way live as he often struggled to get that one harmonic on stage. Can you offer some insight on this? What do think is really going on here?

Jeff really not from this world he just play play lot, then he stop for bit then he got Inspired out blue he see different way then he develops
    His style .
