I worked at Mr. Sandwich from 1980 to 83 in high school. Owner was a family friend and went to school with his daughter at St. Mary's. We had great submarine and pastrami sandwiches. Actually all were great. We sliced meat to order and sliced barrels of pickles. Havent been back on years. Will have to try again.

I still love La Pima Deli’s sandwiches the best. Now long gone, they were next to Lascari’s in that strip mall on Lambert. Maybe I’m biased since I worked there in High school and college in the 70’s / 80’s but they truly were the best! A question for My Whittier; is Villa Hernandez Mexican Food .still across the street from Lascari’s?

My ALL-WHITTIER sandwich spot has to include Capriotti's on the corner of Telegraph and Painter. The must trys are The Bobbie (a Thanksgiving dinner in a roll) and the Cheese Steak ........... so, so GOOD!

If this is the same Mr. Sandwich from back in the 90's at Sorensen Industrial Park, they had an AMAZING turkey pita with cream cheese. I am going to check into this because I have been CRAVING that pita sandwich!!!
