He does the little head shaking vibrato in Million Pieces feat. The Chamber Orchestra of London iirc. It is also one of my many favourite orchestrated Bastille songs.
Bastille have been my favourite and most precious band for almost ten years, just went to my 7th show and no one will top their music or shows for me 😌🥰
I'm Brazilian and a fan of Bastille, I don't understand much about vocal technique but I've always loved hearing the dan sing. Over time I realized that he sang some vowels differently than most artists I listen to, and I've listened to his songs so many times that whenever I say something in English I use his accent without realizing it.
I have been a fan of the Bastille band since 2014. Actually, a friend introduced them to me in 2013 and gave me some of their songs on a pen drive I had at that time. I never thought of listening to the songs. I totally ditched it. Until 2014, just out of the blue, when I decided to check them out. Whoah! I was beyond astounded by their musical genius. Their songs reverberated in my mind for hours; Mhen, their wordplay, their vocals, their parlance drives me nuts. I could not even control my emotions anymore. Brothers and cousins who heard me play those melodious pieces immediately fell deeply in love with their songs. Mhen, I really love their music, and it's not even a joke!
Dan has that rare vocal quality that comes around every so often, just magical. Beth I implore you to check out Corvyx, please, also insanely talented and independent, lots of reactions but need more from vocal coaches of your calibre!
I've been in love with this performance since 2015 when I first found and fell hard over this band. Dan Smith's vocals are like no on else's. I am always especially moved by 8:01 ( timestamp) when the grand beauty of his voice seems to raise him off the ground and possess him. He is a fascinating vocalist and phenomenal piano player.
I came across your channel yesterday and spent literally 15 hours watching your react videos. I'm so glad I found it. It gives me extra joy when I see someone talking passionately about what they know and love. My only complaint is that there is not a react of Brian Molko from Placebo haha Good work, Beth

Hey Beth, hope you're having a nice day ! Would like you to react to a song/music video from "Tose Proeski - Zajdi Zajdi". Tose was a Macedonian singer that sadly died in a tragic car accident back in 2007 and even more sad that he was about to make his international debut with songs in English. Cheers I believe that you will love hearing him !
You're always so kind and thoughtful with your commentary. Do you think some movements are a way to get out nervous energy? I remember you reacting to Maynard from Tool (I thought) and his posture was typically unrecommended for singing but that it didn't seem to adversely affect his ability, power, control or something of that nature.
You really need to check out Diamanda Galás. She is a classically trained pianist and has a 3-1/2 octave range in a voice that is strong, terrifying, and utterly magnificent. She is unlike any vocalist on the planet and her concerts are an artistic experience to behold. Highly recommend listening to her 2017 Live in San Francisco concert. You have been warned !!!
1000% agree. It can be hard to find a clip that's a good length for a reaction, but I really wish we'd see reaction and analysis of her. She's massively talented and creative and utterly unique. She can be challenging to listen to, but in the best way.
@@tyghe_bright Glad you agree. Her rendition of La Llorona on the 2017 San Francisco concert is truly magnificent. ua-cam.com/video/YkpT9QfcEXY/v-deo.html But I agree with you, it is difficult to find high quality video of her performances. She is not for everyone, but to me she is stunning! I really think Beth should do a reaction of her ... cause I'm sure it will be that ... a reaction 🙂
Can I suggest ? - Roberta Sa and Chico Buarque “Mambembe” - Camélia Jordana, Yael Naïm and Nolwen Leroy “quand on a que l’amour » - les Ritamitsuko « Márcia » - one of Stromae ?
every song becomes beautiful with a supporting symphony, nice, I want to recommend you a video that I found today, It's a bit short because it's an audition of the voice of Spain, but I've never heard such a well-executed flamenco and a more beautiful and expressive female voice, "Ana Gonzalez, Maria de la O" Enjoy it Beth, thanks for the amazing videos
Omg, I really love this singer, that song is amazing! AAAND I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!! So pleeeease, YOU REALLY REALLY SHOULD REACT TO RBD!! PLEASE, YOU'LL ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!
I so want you to react to Mars Volta. He has an amazing voice and I would love to hear your thought as I bet a lot of your watchers would. I wouldn't know which song to recommend because he is so great but if your fans are interested I'm sure many songs would be suggested and you could do a pole. I really hope this happens. Keep be amazing!!
Please react to Ben Barnes 11:11, The Ordinary (these two are his own songs) and his cover version of Best Part by Daniel Caesar. And to The Teskey Brothers (I get up, Hold me) Thanks :))
Ey Beth u should check out some new live songs from Bastille, thay did an Mtv Unplugged last year...Bad days ir brillant and thay did a cover from Nirvana too.
Hi Beth, I would like to recommend this version of the hymn "Ribirth" by the Brazilian power metal band Angra. This specific version is sung by Nando Fernandes from the band "Sinistra" and Angra's guitarist Rafael Bittencourt. Nando Fernandes is one of the greatest voices of rock/metal in Brazil, his voice is too powerful, and in closed places without a microphone, his voice echoes through the walls and it seems that the environment is full of speakers. I kindly ask you to analyze this man's voice, which unfortunately is little known. I am sure you will be shocked..... ua-cam.com/video/4nb5iFt-Id0/v-deo.html&ab_channel=CortesdoAmplifica%5BOFICIAL%5D
Im not a singer, but the head voice down to chest voice has a hard clipping sound. is that intentional? to untrained voice it sounds a little harsh..thats why I ask.
He does the little head shaking vibrato in Million Pieces feat. The Chamber Orchestra of London iirc. It is also one of my many favourite orchestrated Bastille songs.
I love you for reviewing Bastille. Can you please review, like every song of them? Thanks :D

I was shocked by his voice when discovered the band in 2017! Love old stuff from Bastille as well

I love his accent so much
I have only just subscribed and watched a few videos, but I've already learned many things about singing. Thank you!
Wow I was just thinking whether you'd reviewed any of their songs and you uploaded it 24 hours ago. I might see the future-past haha!
she is really not that impressed but I am I absolutely adore him and his voice they transport me.

Hey Beth! You should listen to Monuments - Lavos (one take vocal performance). Andy Cizek's technique is amazing 😳

Oof, just re heard the song again and I'm crying... Please, Tose's "Zajdi Zajdi" or the song he sang in English called "The hardest thing". !! :)
Love this love you
This lilting sound reminds me of Irish folk music (and I presume English, too--I'm just more familiar with Irish) and Bluegrass.
Please check out the smile -skirting on the surface
Thank you.

I'd love to know what you think about David Cassidy's vocals. His voice was so beautiful and sultry.

I am a huge fan of Bastille, but his so-called vibrato technique kills me every time I see it 😢😂

I keep trying to tell my girlfriend that her mouth shape makes all the difference, as you said, but she'll still only use her hand
