Honestly they always had the money and potential to beat DICE because they sell way more copies every year. I'm a BF fan and honestly this game beats basically any BF game in terms of Animations and Sounds. That being said, seeing a Kar98K considered a DMR and a Fal, ScarH and an Ash12 considered as Assault Rifles and the Uzi considered a closed bolt machine gun hurts my soul.
It still blows my mind that all these animations are hand drawn rather than mocap (they used mocap references but not animations) because real life movement isn't 'impactful' enough!
6:20 an AUG is an assault rifle chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO while an AUG Para (for paratroopers) is a conversion to 9x19 parabellum and is considered a SMG.
I was thinking the same, but I guess they have to have a crazy base spread so the attachments make a noticable difference. Same for the recoil...that FAL was almost vertical by the end of the mag.
I love the FAL animation! Major points for keeping the magazine instead of throwing it to the side when it's not completely empty. It's attention to detail like this that makes me fall in love with this game.
This video misses the rechambering of certain weapons. Like the 47 being able to be turned into a 74u, the m4 being able to be turned into a 9mm smg, and the aug being able to be changed into a 5.56. This all changes animations drastically.
@@tuccerjim3084 Yeah. The only massive different weapon rechamber animations is -47 with drum mag, SCAR but idk what the attachment is called, but he slaps the gun to chamber instead of just pressing the button... That's all I can remember at the top of my head

Since there's no gas emitted from the unfired shell, there's nothing to push the unfired shell from ejecting (the only way to remove the unfired shell is opening gravity or physically removing it.

the detail of this game is amazing the FAL 2:452:55 he drops its mag when it its empty if theres still ammo left he keeps is props to the animators to this game.
First think I paid attention to when I played the game. ‘Hey! Finally a game gets the MP5 reload right!’ You lock the bolt back, then reload, then HK slap. Not ram a fully loaded mag in. It is stupid difficult getting a 30 round magazine in a roller delayed blow back gun. Stupid hard.
Goddamn, the attention to detail is nuts. You can actually see the magazine release get depressed and protrude out the lower receiver. Can also see the bolt catch change position during lockback.
Another small detail that definitely deserves praise is how every gun has their small quirks when reloading. A good example is the Lmg's instead of rehashing the same old animation they instead have little details that makes every reload animation unique. The character lifts the Pkm due to the sheer size of the magazine for the MG43 he checks if he properly load the bullets correctly and for the M91 he checks if there is anything underneath before putting the belt. These are small details you don't see much in other games especially Cod games who were downright famed for reusing animations like they did in Mw2 and Mw3 glad to see infinity stepped up their game this year.
So I just realized this: if you reload and your gun is out of ammo your soldier will drop the empty mag, but if there’s still ammo in the magazine he’ll actually keep it. That’s an amazing detail!!
Some of those LMGs are getting charged twice. You can pull the handle back as many times as you want, but the bolt will be caught to the rear the first time Other than that, I loved the attention to small details
