Good question. There seem to be a good number of FCS upsets of FBS teams every year, but I think things are actually moving in the opposite direction, thanks to TV contracts and the like. It looks to me like the Big Ten and SEC and maybe the rest of the Power 5 conferences might want to separate from the rest of FBS, maybe even separate from the NCAA entirely. Who knows what’ll happen.

Why not get rid of the fbs and fcs football subdivision and become one division I Football again
