What a time to be alive. All the new suburbs, and new electric housing. All new electric refrigerators, stoves, and ovens. Thos appliances were built for life. Some are still going. The refrigerators had shelves that actually pulled out, like drawers. The stoves had a back burner that could be pushed down, and had a pot that fit down into the space, which worked like a crock pot.

The bird killer= actor of note Paul Richards, He played the first character on Gunsmoke (1955) to shoot Marshal Matt Dillon and the first character on Hawaii Five-O (1968) to which Steve McGarrett said, "Book 'em, Dan-o!".
Born November 23, 1924 in Hollywood, California, USA
Died December 10, 1974 in Culver City, California, USA (cancer age 50)
Was the lead in a ground breaking television series about psychiatry, still a good watch to this day; "The Breaking Point" was on during the 1963-64 season, the same year as "The Richard Boone Show" and "East Side, West Side". A fine year for TV series drama. TV Guide critic Cleveland Amory said the most letters he got that year complaining about fine shows being canceled was for "The Breaking Point".
He also appeared in 7 episodes of Dragnet, if Jack Webb liked you, you got work.

"BADGE 714" was the syndicated title for "DRAGNET" (while first-run episodes were presented on NBC through 1959) from 1953 through 1962.
This episode was originally telecast on October 27, 1955, adapted from a February 1, 1955 radio episode.

William Boyett played Sgt. McDonald on Adam-12. Over his lengthy career he probably played more cops than anyone in Hollywood, including two different officers on Highway Patrol (with Broderick Crawford). Not to mention a few traffic safety films as well. Always jarring to see him play a "bad guy", which he often did in westerns.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. Can you imagine the city cops doing that now days? They would be there for 5 minutes and say that's to bad, give us a list of things that were taken but don't expect to see anything back again. Then they would prob throw away the list once they got out of sight of the house. I think to get a cop finger printer some place you would just about have to have a murder or a rape.

A comment not really Dragnet related...imo, the idea of suburbs was an abomination. They destroyed so much open space and wildlife habitat. As a hunter and fisherman, I detest the idea that there "used to be" woods, fields, streams, et al. And to be proud to carelessly have multiple children, only to put more pressure on the environment is, imo, a crime. I hate to see survey markers on land. It only means total destruction. And also, the new people who move in, en masse, what to have things their way, not asking permission of those who lived there before.
    Sad situation indeed.
