This is good info, but can you post a video of what it looks like if the goat is positive for mastitis?
I wish I'd known this last year! Apparently at least one of my girls had mastitis last year, because I'd occasionally get slimy snot on my dish cloth when washing jars, and I didn't know why.
Just tested all five this morning, four are fine, but one definitely turned slimy. I'm happy to know what's wrong so I can treat her!

Will keep this in mind. We've always just used a strip cup to milk out a little every day. I'm thinking this test of yours would catch the mastitis before the strip cup did though. Thanks :-)

If so how did you go about treating her?
Silly question but mastitis only happens with lactating goats? Have a friend who bought two goats and was told they have had for two years? Weird

I think mastitis has a special reagents for testing .
u used a Soap 🤔 , can u give us scientific explain
Not a scientific one, we heard it from an old timer who has been keeping goats and livestock for 40 years- We looked it up online and found info that supported the method, and after several tests concluded it works when going head to head with commercially available stuff.
Do you have a natural remedy if your goat does get mastitis??
Will this work for a Cow
