The new googles in the overcast/rainy conditions fog up more than the old one (due to tighter seal, less ventilation) but at least the lens stays put after big crashes. If you're constantly in a cold area, overcast/rain - probably get some anti-fog spray, spitting in it is not enough. In a normal conditions the goggles are pretty awesome.
Great overview, thanks for comparing to the Lip Typhoons. How have the 2.0's been holding up since you got them compared to the 1.0s which seems to have fallen apart?
2.0 is still struggling to keep the lens on in a shore break/crashes. I wouldn't buy it for any actions sports, boating is great, but that's pretty much it. I'm riding now JetPilot goggles, cheaper, polarised, the lens is "not removable" (at least I can't figure out how to do so, didn't come out in any crashes), much bigger ventilation holes so it doesn't fog up much in overcast weather. I might make a review about it.
@@SilverFoilSurfer Thank you, just saved me 100 Euros. They should have a better lens fixation system especially given the 2.0 iteration. I see forward also has a Jetmask now, but I would be hesitant to try them after your experiences.
Hi, thanks for sharing this video! I'm just getting started learning how to wing foil, so obviously I'm wiping out a lot. Do the WIP mask goggles stay put even if you crash into the water?
The old mask would fly out of the helmet like 80% of the crashes, the new one stays put more secure, but still have to tie it with a velcro, otherwise will be swimming around looking for it. Wouldn't recommend it if you're an early learner, as there are many times the foil is upside down after the crash and you have a few seconds to save the wing from the falling foil, with the mask you'd have to waif for ~2 seconds for the mask to drain. After the learning phase the googles are awesome!
