@MrTchozenone For barracuda in the winter months, we throw a bright colored tube lure - a piece of surgical tubing with treble hooks attached with wire. They hate it!
the flying cuda story is a classic, my local fish mag (Western Angler) recently had a story written by the editer/owner about a recent charter he had been on, he asked one of the other anglers aboard the charter what he wanted/planned on catching on the trip and his response was cuda's! not a common response in our neck of the woods, this guy only had one eye and enlightened the fishing writer to his story of how he lost and eye from a cuda attack. look it up if you have time.
jeeese in north florida all you have to do to catch a cuda is go out bout 5 miles throw half a bait squid into the water wait 5 mins till you have 3 of them circling your boat then put the other half of the squid on just a hook with maybe some wire leader and grab em out the water!
take a look at my profile. I need to put some videos up but you can see that i love to fish just from my profile picture. That was just a regular day out of cudjoe key, florida over some structure i found.
cudas are fast, unpredictable, and can be dangerous . . . that's why we love them!
