I liked how her cousin gave the genuine reactions. He told her that the first dress was pretty but not practical and the 2nd one wasn't really bridal. I think he really helped her choose the correct one without settling for an ok dress
Love to see a Christian Indian bride. It’s always funny when people especially white people get confused on why my entire family wore white dresses and some even accuse us of being “westernized” and not following traditions. Just to educate you guys, not all Indians wear colorful saris, or red dresses on their wedding. Christian Indians were colonized by the Portuguese hundreds of years ago and were forced into Christianity which is why we have Portuguese last names (look at the whole brides family) and we wear white dresses. Because of this literally no one knew i was Indian growing up, all my teachers thought I was Spanish lmao. They’d be so shocked when I’d tell them I’m Indian and they’d be like your either mixed or not a true india you have to have those super long Indian names! India has so many different kinds of people and communities it’s so hard to put us in a box. People always expect me to have a huge colorful lavish weddings with elephants and I’m like no that’s for Hindu people 😅. Don’t forget there’s Muslims in India too and they have their own traditions as well. There are also Buddhists who wear white dresses, and so many other religions and cultures within India. It’s hard to name them all, which is why India is known as the most diverse country in the world culturally even though we are all Indian :)

According to Indian Christians St. Thomas the Apostle came to Kearla in 52 AD to covert the Jews and therefore set up a Christian community in Southern India. I have been to Indian Christian weddings and they are beautiful.

I really liked what the bride said about her mum. She didn't taint her daughter's desire to marry. I came from a divorce and it put me off marriage. Glad the mum was supportive of whatever her daughter wanted. The way the mum spoke about her own wedding Dress you wouldn't know she had a difficult situation.
WoW, this is one of the most perfect bride/dress matches I’ve seen! She’s just beautiful. In the first dress, she looked like a little girl playing dress up, in the second she looked very pretty and quite acceptable. But this third one? Just right!!!

This Halter neck wedding gown is so elegant for her, with a beautiful veil , it would be very grand and modest.
it was so unique , the one that she choose , we have seen it so many times.
The halter top would have been fine for the reception but it wasn't very bridal. The one she chose may have been seen before but it is still beautiful and feminine in a traditional way. She looked fabulous in her chosen gown.

One thing that I really like with this compared to the american version is that it's better lightset and that combined with a not-white wall in the room makes it easier to actually see the dress even when it's white. In many episodes of the american yes to the dress it's all just... white everywhere and not easy to look at.

@@L.Spencer that's because we have different ceremony and wear different dresses for each ceremony. A bride atleast change 4 dresses for marriage in my state. In someother states they wear 7 dresses too or more than that.

That first dress wow! That train was so long and wide. The bride saying need to stand away from her (12ft) I think made me laugh.

Gorgeous dress! The only change I would make is to extend the lace on the sleeves to match the bodice. There’s a piece of lace at the sides of the bodice that extends up. I would bring the sleeve lace up to that point (a little lower than the armhole seam).
I am so happy that Say yes to the dress India also have Beautiful White Gowns.. like SYTTD UK and Lancashire..
Why not include the budget and price of the dresses? All other Say Yes to the Dress USA, Poland etc always tell the price.
The cost of that second halter gown is Rs. 2,43,000
