It's one of the lesser-known black-and-white thrillers, but unrightfully since it's a real gem!
She sounds almost like Myrna Loy… which is certainly a compliment! Nicely done!
Excellent movie, thanks for sharing.
I'm perfectly mortified! She said "this is where your nose gets an inch from my nose, the camera comes in for a closeup and they play God Save the King". And then his nose gets close, the camera leans in for a closeup but NO God Save The King! A perfect movie up to the last moment and then slapped in the face with a false promise and a let down for music buffs the world wide. That's why I only give it a 99 out of 100.
British people over a certain age will remember that the national anthem was played in every cinema when the film ended, right up until the 1970s - but maybe you knew that really...
