@@helena-g4h thanks for watching !
Awesome video 😊
@Adankayak thank you for watching!
Carlsbad has sea otters?
@@chiccenhawkc every so often I would see one at the lagoon. I’ve heard stories of a wide variety of sea life being drawn into the area.
@@bnardo_7thanks for the info tight line
@@chiccenhawkc no problem! Tight lines 🤙
Yup I e seen some in Oceanside too
Nice fish 😊
Thank you !
You’re not the first to fall there. If you are lucky you can get a legal Halibut at that spot. Nice video!
Thanks! I’m still hunting for my first legal Halibut!!
Everybody slips there , one 1st trip. Those light micro 10gr are killers our there
@@marceloamador92024 it’s funny because I knew it was going to be slippery but still fell 🤣 I love fishing those! I need to go back with more lures/jigs. I tried over 5 combo’s but the morning was somewhat a dry session
EEAT IT DUUUUDE 😂
@@randydelabarcena4988 😂

🙏
Huge eel!! 😮
That eel was massive !
That’s a nice colored rock wrasse
Thanks for identifying! No clue what that fish was 🤙
Rock wrasse are cool, lol
@@werftv4580 they really are! I looked them up and they’re are so many different looking ones
@@bnardo_7 they switch from Female to Male if the school needs them... lol
@@werftv4580 haha that’s pretty interesting. I need to do more fish research! I know some species can do that but didn’t know they did
The fish is called a wrasp
@@DominickSinor thanks! Everyone came up with rock wrasse so far
Green n Brown you’ll go down (green or brown algae’s 🛑no step) a hundred years ago I slipped on brown algae on top of San.PEEdro BreakWall halfway out n lost a lot of tackle from crashing tackle box . Been using backpacks ever since. Now only Terrorist are allowed on SP BreakWall 😔
@@randydelabarcena4988 that’s a good way to put it! I’ll take that into consideration on my next adventures! Thank you for sharing your story, very unfortunate for your tackle. Got to love backpacks! The news on the SP wall is crazy. I was unaware that even happened until I saw your comment and did some research
Sup bro. I love your vids im a local young fisherman at cbad and love catching calicos. Were you using shrimp for the wrasse?
Hey brother! Thank you for watching! Calicos are a fun species to catch! I was using shrimp for the wrasse but got lucky with the foul hook. I think to get a bite with them you would need a size 6 hook because of how small their mouths are but if another species bites, you can possibly gut hook them.
@@bnardo_7 yea their mouths are just like opaleye. There are actually mullet and I think yellowfin croakers in that lagoon it’s super cool. I’ve never caught one but hope to do so!
I’ve never got a mullet yet, I think they are vegetarian. Croaker are great! I never got one on the lagoon but on the jetty next to the lagoon I’ve caught some. Probably a good 15-20 feet away casted out north at about 3/4ths of the way out on the rocks.
@@bnardo_7 eyyy nice!!! Yea the mullet are vegetarian. Also the buena vista lagoon on the north side of town has bass and massive carp, as well as catfish
@@LilTayRX I’ve never went there yet! You’re the second person lately to tell me about it. I’ve done research but it seems to be low key, at least video wise. I’ll add that lagoon to the list of where to go!
So sad this place will change dramatically one the farm is gone 😢
It is sad! I heard of the news recently. I’m sure fishing will decline dramatically and the water will be affected largely. San Diego Bay fishing will probably pick up with the transfer over but at the cost of the Carlsbad lagoon
Cops will ticket u for crossing that RR bridge. watch out!
@@Dane-o7q thanks for the heads up! Last time I saw cops there they were watching kids jump off the bridge! I guess it depends on who
@@bnardo_7 Jumping off bridge! lots of fishing gear on bottom there. i hooked a big halibut right where u were fishing many years ago. made 2 long runs on me. then spit out the sand bass that was hooked right in front of me! was best fight of my life. looked like over 40lbs! on incoming tide.
Moray eel! wow! i been fishing there for years and never knew they were there!
@@Dane-o7q apparently it’s super popular to jump into the water from the bridge! That’s amazing, hopefully one day I can hook a big Halibut too! Thanks for sharing
@@Dane-o7q thanks for identifying the eel ! I had no clue what kind it was. Usually on lower tides you can find all sorts of sea life in the rocks
