Can we get a shout out for this singer? He's fantastic. The band sounds amazing.
That is Joey Eppard ...a virtuoso guitar player as well and artist in his own right!!!
Yes. Yes you can.
Band and singer sound great. Lindsey Skeye blends perfectly with the singer. Very nice rendition.
Dude up front with the congas...great voice!
Pretty effin' cool. 💖👍
As a guy in a cover band I have two comments. 99% of cover bands don’t attempt or shouldn’t attempt Steely Dan because of the technical ability you have to have to do it right. Also this vocalist deserves massive credit this is a really really talented group. Well done, bravo.
Agree 100% this group really did a nice job.
This isn’t cover, it’s homage.
And very good.
You have idea how much I was into Steely Dan.
I had very expensive taste in stereos back Int the day. steely Dan was the best sound, style, completely different than ‘pop and rock’.
I’m binging now
This isn't cover, it's Napalm!
Well said…goosebumps
Love the 2 secord break for" Is There Gas In The Car?" PERFECTION!
Agreed!
I would pay good $$$ to see this band!! Saw Steely Dan in NOLA about 6 years ago. Sadly they disappointed.
That bass player is phenomenal!
So true. When I watch this band, I just rock to her. So good.
Agreed! Even though her back is turned during most of this song. My absolute favorite bass cover of this (only one take!) is here:
ua-cam.com/video/2HR4tlN0L18/v-deo.html
@@hellofromrob not sure why you would say her back is turned for most of the song. I just watched the first 2 minutes and her back wasn't turned once.
@@richardbrucemusic I had to check again and from about 2:15 on, she’s pretty much facing the drummer... Nevertheless she’s still very good!
@@hellofromrob yeah wonder why I didn't notice it before? I mean during the guitar solo I get it but.. oh, well.
Rick Marotta, unsung hero, he deserves more recognition, kudos and R&R / pop hall of fame.
Oh yeah! Listen to him on Spyro Gyra's 'Old San Juan'. Master class in drumming.🤯
Reelin' In The Years is performing our first post lock-down show on Saturday, July 24th Live at The Falcon in Marlboro, NY. We hope to see you there, it's been much too long!
Great seeing Jesse Gress in the corner!
for sure
guitarist NAILED that Larry Carlton solo - awesome - how many years passed since he (and we) 1st heard it - yet, still fresh - I could listen to it again immediately - in fact, I did !!!!!
He REALLY didn't.
@@keithreeder Yeah, was kinda let down that he didn't follow through. It's an iconic solo that every Steely Dan aficionado is waiting to hear.
That’s Pete Levin on keys. He’s long gone. We were fortunate enough to have David Jameson from the Security Project take over. Can’t wait to post some video with him.
Pulling off a Steely Dan tune really well...Awesome performance!
Wow!!! Sounds great 👍 kewl & grooving!! ☮️😎🥰
Loved it! Great singer and very talented musicians. Showing great respect for Steely Dan!
Is there gas in the car..........IS THERE GAS IN THE CAR........awesome change! Bravo to all, great guitar solo!!!
Very good vocals! That guy is awesome!
Huge Steely Dan fan- these folks are amazing!
This is just beyond fantastic. Besides the music being great it's SO important in these type of covers that the singer sound similar to the original. And this young man nails it!!
Rick and Jerry are too cool. The playing is effortless. As much fun to watch as to listen to. Kings of the Hi-Hat!
Once you start to listen you just can't stop. Really nice.
Lead singer is so darn good!
Can you imagine a band like this
Proof that musicians are musicians, no matter how old...
first time that I understood the lyrics....nice
Everyone is just killin' it! But DAMN that bass is out of this world! Awesome work all around, just so great.
Fantastic lead vocal!🇬🇧👍🇬🇧
Grandma rockin' it on bass with her smoove grooves wow :-)

Whatever these guys get paid for this gig, it's not enough. A labor of love.
Never into Steely Dan music but that was fabulous musicianship by everyone. The guitar solo was really tastefull
The singer. Jesus, what a voice, I could listen to this all day. If anything is better than the original, this might be it
That's Joey Eppard. Amazing guitar player, songwriter too...look up Treetops
Rick played with Steely Dan on Peg, on the album Aja. Great drummer
It took a few minutes to realize there were two drummers. Being a drummer myself, I never understood the purpose of having two.
Wonderful Guys 🥰❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻
Fantastic show.. Double thumbs up
Got a "stiffie" listening to this great cover! Damn!👍😁
Guitar playing is incredible, not sure he even looked at the neck for the whole song. How can this be possible with the accuracy required for this. Remind me of watching Rory Gallagher..
Very nice wow luv it 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Everyone is F'n badass all the way around!
This is just awesome. Everyone - and the lead singer Homage to Steely Dan Vocals. Great job!!
Wooow!! Great vocalist (sweet girl), muzik arrangement & the band! Greetings from Jazzman KUL.
Great Kid Charlemagne cover!
It made my eyes watery, ... it takes the original to a different level with this relaxed groove.
Loved it, that was great, everyone played their parts to perfection; especially when you consider most of us will be comparing it to the original recording - and this was LIVE!
I think the only thing I would change would be to re-mix with the lead guitar beefed up fractionally but that may just be me listening on my iPad.
Well done and thank you!
Bold to take it on at all. And they kill it. What a great job.
Great cover….all players are so talented
Thanks to D for this platform
Peace and Love Jesse Gresse Your Music Music Lives On ❤️🦜
What an absolute Pleasure, Superlative musicianship across the board and the Bassist? Sublimb, I'll be smiling for Hours. Thanks for this . . . . .

had to listen to the man sing a couple of SD songs and yes he has the chops to sing SD...not many do. Bravo.
Perfect voice for the Steely Dan stuff. Sounding great guy.
Man,every show I hear from LFDH always sounds fantastic! Kudo's the broadcast mixer!
Nailed it!
Fat horns, killer harmony, cast of great players and plenty of gas in the car. I love this!
Exactly the right groove and tempo, perfect....
Can we get a shout out for the bassist. Hooooly crap! SO many tasty improv lines.
Marotta just lays back and casually plays it perfect. Noice!
...great singer / band ....to add to this ...yes the bands tight with a great groove .....but I love how the singer , sings with so much passion ....feels each n every lyric ....DF should be proud ... cheers 👍
Wow!
The Marotta brothers laying down a sick groove! Two of my favorite drummers of all time.

This is just fantastically done! What memories from that song and now with that wonderful "great aunt" nailing that bass! Such smiles, thank you!
Fabulous rendition. Top drawer.
Not only my favorite Steely Dan song, my favorite song ever.. I wanted to give this a thumbs down just for the audacity of trying to remake it.. but that would have been short sighted.... loved your take...
Mine too
