Making these for my cousin tomorrow so glad I found the video. I was gonna bake separate cakes then make cake pop balls and put in the batter and bake again. This way will save me so much time! Thanks x
Hi Abbsters. The vodka is just to make the food colouring easier to paint with. With food pastes or gels....you could always paint without diluting them, or you can buy 'rejuvenating fluid' from cake decorating shops....which does the same job as the vodka. :)
Yes LadySibeal. the alcohol evaporates but it leaves a lovely sheen. You can use it on any fondant-covered cake....but make sure the fondant is dry first.....otherwise it may go sticky. xx
Instead of vodka, you can use lemon extract for painting the fondant hearts. Rosie, Rosie. . . This is fantastic! I cannot wait to try it. Your family is so lovely.!! Ann from Atlanta, Georgia USA
I made these today for my daughters birthday - was really nervous how they would turn out and was so excited when I cut one open and there was the leopard print!
Well I stick them in at about 170c for about 15 mins....but ovens can be so different....so just check them and you'll get a feel for when they're done xx
@tpcsliji Have you watched my recipe video? Many people miss the crucial elements of baking. By creaming the butter and sugar for a LONG time...you are beating air into the batter. And by folding in the flour (not mixing it) you are keeping that air in. That's why with a correct method....you can even have success without a raising agent.
Hi caga7469. Actually I filled these cases quite full (because there was no raising agent....and I wanted nice plump cupcakes. I baked these at 150C for about 25 mins....but of course ovens can really vary. xx
You can use lemon extract or any clear extract that has alcohol in it (and most do). It's because of the alcohol, it dries fast and doesn't mess up work while giving you a liquid to paint with.
THANKS SOOO MUCH FOR SHARING! I've been trying to figure out how to do this fire my cousins baby shower to make it onto the very popular baby shower leopard cake on Pintrest, how I can make it without having to pay for the expensive tutorials that are being offered online! Again thank you & your divas
how would the piping of the batter differ from this if I were to make zebra cup cakes? will be making them tomorrow. thank you in advance, love watching your videos! :-*
hi, i was wondering, i think in this video the recipe calls for 1 tsp vanilla essence, where as your butter cream calls for vanilla extract. would you mind explaining the difference and maybe where i might get the essence? thank you, i really would love to try this, its super cute! you make this all look so easy
Not much at all to be honest Jodance78. I put aside a lot because we were filming....but to be honest...I only needed about a third of what you see in the video. x
I do have a question. How do the heavy cake batter cupcakes differ in taste compared to Reg cupcakes with self rising flour? Wondering if they have more of muffin texture, like a blueberry or something. Thanks!!
Hello! Love the video; was wondering what you put into the buttercream to make it raspberry buttercream. Do you use raspberry flavoring or an extract? Thank you!
I think all the rejuvenator fluids are alcohol based June. The alcohol does completely evaporate...but if you still need to avoid it...you can use paste colours straight from the pot....or you could even dilute them with a touch of cooled boiled water...or lemon extract. Just be careful to have your fondant dry first and not to have any pools of liquid sit on the surface...even small ones. xx
Hi Rosie Cake Diva. I want to make the Leopard print cake as a sheet cake, would I pipe out the batters in the same order just rectangular instead of circular?
+April Graham For a sheet cake I would do them as dots as in the video. Just do lots and lots of them so that wherever you cut through you will catch a good selection of them. xx
Yes Tina Anthony so the colour doesn't just merge while it bakes. But if you watch the recipe video, it shows why it's really important to beat the butter and sugar really well to start with. x
the pink leapord cupcakes are so ADORABLE
Love how the girls were involved in the making of the pretty cupcakes!!
thats great you have the girls helping looks like they will have great memories

Brilliant
Amazing idea! cant wait to try this out. What brand of food colouring are you using? x
I use Sugarflair @Kellyjefo84. The ones for the tutorial were Ruby and Liquorice. x
There is one in my Facebook 'notes' Tash. x

Hi Rosie, do you also have a simple recipie for the buttercream at hand? Great vid btw and lovely girls!
how would the piping of the batter differ from this if I were to make zebra cup cakes? will be making them tomorrow. thank you in advance, love watching your videos! :-*
+Marlena Badoni Oh sorry Mariena....I missed this. Zebra is different. You need to pour your batter in concentric circles. x
It's ok, thank you so much though. :-)
You are genius. Thank you so much for sharing. :)
hi, i was wondering, i think in this video the recipe calls for 1 tsp vanilla essence, where as your butter cream calls for vanilla extract. would you mind explaining the difference and maybe where i might get the essence? thank you, i really would love to try this, its super cute! you make this all look so easy
Thanx for sharing!
Not much at all to be honest Jodance78. I put aside a lot because we were filming....but to be honest...I only needed about a third of what you see in the video. x
aw aesome i thought so..thank you so much x
I get all my recipes from you
I do have a question. How do the heavy cake batter cupcakes differ in taste compared to Reg cupcakes with self rising flour? Wondering if they have more of muffin texture, like a blueberry or something. Thanks!!
Rosie , can I do this to a cake pan instead? Also I don't have any black could I use brown instead?
Thank you so much
Chris
Chris Stotz Yes Chris but you might want to pipe slightly differently. There is a tutorial on my FB page for leopard print in a cake. xx
This is great- I'd love to make these for my step-daughters birthday! How much mix do you set aside for the two 'spot' colours please? Thank you!
Perfect!!!
12 Crystal :)
Hello! Love the video; was wondering what you put into the buttercream to make it raspberry buttercream. Do you use raspberry flavoring or an extract? Thank you!
+Estebania Llado Raspberries :) Pureed and strained :)
+Rosie Cake-Diva Thank you for responding! That sounds delicious! Did you have to add coloring too to get that lovely color on the buttercream?
scaredto try this!!
Nooo! Have a go MakeupByHlywka ! :)
I really love this recipe is just that I dont use any alcohol in my cooking or baking is there any other way i would really appreciate this

Rosie Cake-Diva Thankyou very much :)
Fantasticheeeee brave brave brave :)) dall'Italia!
How did you mane the fondant? And is the vodka necessary, because I'm only 15 an can't really get vodka...
Hi Rosie Cake Diva. I want to make the Leopard print cake as a sheet cake, would I pipe out the batters in the same order just rectangular instead of circular?
+April Graham For a sheet cake I would do them as dots as in the video. Just do lots and lots of them so that wherever you cut through you will catch a good selection of them. xx
Ojalá pudieran activar los subtitulos, para tener una mejor idea.
Super cute video
I'm sorry did u say Vodka when you were getting ready to paint the hearts? thanks
when i make cupcakes i never get a dome am i doing something wrong? my cupcakes end up flat and over the cupcake pans.
hi how many cupcakes does this recipe make?
Lol! You noticed that huh? :)
They are just not as light ....a little more dense in the texture of the cake ....that's all. xx
I haven't tried this yet but I was wondering you have no leavening in here. No Baking powder or soda, is that right?
Yes Tina Anthony so the colour doesn't just merge while it bakes. But if you watch the recipe video, it shows why it's really important to beat the butter and sugar really well to start with. x
aunq no hablo ingles me gusta la pagina enverdad y es solo cuestiòn de ver como tu haces las cosas jujuju :P
