The reason that suicide is illegal, in the U.S. at least, is so that when law enforcement officers are made aware of a possible suicide attempt, they have probable cause to enter the residence or area and secure the suspect because they have "probable cause" to suspect that a crime is being committed. Without this law in place, they wouldn't be able to assist without permission and it could mean the end of a life. To my knowledge, there is no set punishment for those found attempting suicide, and the law is only there to help.
Ive been in the military 15 years, to Afghanistan twice and will probably deploy at least 2 more times in my career. I’ve seen the good times and the bad times of the military. This song hits home hard. It is something I’m passionate about and find it satisfying that a celebrity is actually putting the message out there about mental health.

@P.C Barry No, it's just a misunderstanding. The reason that suicide is illegal, in the U.S. at least, is so that when law enforcement officers are made aware of a possible suicide attempt, they have probable cause to enter the residence or area and secure the suspect because they have "probable cause" to suspect that a crime is being committed. Without this law in place, they wouldn't be able to assist without permission and it could mean the end of a life. To my knowledge, there is no set punishment for those found attempting suicide, and the law is only there to help.

Ive been in the military 15 years, to Afghanistan twice and will probably deploy at least 2 more times in my career. I’ve seen the good times and the bad times of the military. This song hits home hard. It is something I’m passionate about and find it satisfying that a celebrity is actually putting the message out there about mental health.

Incuding also the treacherous VA that seems to be barely noticing how bad I was treated and left for dead. Feeling so alone again..
