Grazie molte! Il video è molto bene. Già so perfettamente la diferencia de i suoni zeta sonora e zeta sorda. 👌🙏👍
Grazie mille
Di niente! 😊
Grazie per la tua tecnica di insegnare questa lingua.

Grazie mille Dileep 😊
Sorda:
If Z follows the letter “L” CALZA (sock), CALZONE (mispronounced in the US with the Sorda).
If Z is followed by an “I” diphthong: ZIO (uncle).
The double Z is typically Sorda (Pizza)
The endings -ANZA, -ENZA and -ZIONE use the sorda. (STANZA)
A word which starts with “Z” is typically sorda, unless the words comes from another language such as ZOO.
Sonora
Some words which start with Z use the Sonora, especially in the form of “Z + vowel + consonant as the third letter (B, D, G, L, M, N, R, V)
-IZZARE uses the sonora ORGANIZZARE (organization)

Figurati! 😊
Basically what I got from that is almost always say the Z as a ts. Just wait for somebody to correct you on the small handful of words that have the dz sound lol.
Grazie Ambra
Grazie a te 😊
What about zuppa? There it is pronounced as dz even tbough the third letter of the word is p.
Thanks a lot! Finally I found what I've been looking for, but still I have a question. Are these exceptions the only ones or are there more? I remember Z in zio sounds like [dz] as opposed to zia. Is that correct?
Ciao and thanks for your question 😊 In the video I've covered the most commonwords/exceptions. The words "zio" and "zia" both sound the same (you must pronounce the z as /ts/). Does it answer your question?
@@AmbraConnexita Thank you so much for your reply. I have never studied Italian, but I consider it the most beautiful language and because of that I remember some phrases from real life, tv shows and movies. I love phonetics as such and being Georgian makes it very easy for me to perceive and pronounce Italian correctly. My pronunciation can not be distinguished from native Italian when I repeat what I hear, but when I read, I may make some mistakes when it comes to stresses and [ts] [dz] differentiation. As for "zio", I remember from my childhood that in Amarcord, a boy calls his mental uncle [dzio]. Maybe I misheard him, but the fact that uncle in Georgian is [dzia], made an imprint in my memory because of such a striking similarity. It's even not a similarity, but an exact match, considering Georgian in completely gender neutral.
@@lashamartashvili There are many dialects, and different dialects pronunce it slightly differently. What Ambra gives us is the "official" pronunciation, but it can very.
@@traken8058 Thanks, I know there are many dialects as I've heared them many too, but I was interested in the official "literary" Italian version, even going into details as far as to whichever is characteristic to north and south or if a few regions had exception from the rule. If it changes from town to town then I just only need to know the official version.
How to pronounce the first z in zozzo?
And zuzzurellone
