Damn my boy that might be the ultimate sleeper, but when you started up the car right before video ended it sounded completely different. It sounds great I just cannot get over that running a 9.6 quarter mile. To pass the finish line at 145 mph that has to be mostly all top end. Being a Chevrolet I'd take a wild guess at the rear end having 3.42 gears? Incredible work.
Two different clips from the start up and walk around at the end. Cold start has a few hundred more rpm until temp raises them it tapers down and sounds more choppy. I said what gears it had and has at @0:32 The corvette manuals came with 3.42s, camaro, ss, g8, had 3.45 options for the manual. Oem rear on this car is a 3.27 which is what I put back in to it now.
Cool deal!!!
What are plans with the corvette? Which convertor did you switch to?
We have ran a 7.02 at 100 so far with our circle d 3600.
Headers, exhaust, cam. Stock intake and tb. Full weight 3LT z51 car. Looking for 6.90s tonight at track it’s cooled off a good bit
I'm curious as well I'm running the C6 258mm 3600-3800
@@jelenekoutdoors9023 we have the 245mm triple disk
@will_kinnard Does it seem pretty loose??? good luck tonight I have the same spec on the C6 2008 it's on my other channel FULL SEND C6
@@jelenekoutdoors9023 it doesn’t drive any different than the 3200 stall convertor did on the street. It picked up .4 tenths to the 1/8th mile swapping to the 3600 though. If had to do it again would have done a 4000 or 4200. Plans is to do heads eventually on the car and pick up a few numbers
@@jelenekoutdoors9023 have never locked up the convertor going down track either. Want to one day to see potential gains. Pump gas 93 still also no e85
How do I get my junkyard 5.3 to sound close to that ss
Would be hard to make a little 5.3 sound like a 6.2 that has more compression and can run larger cams without issues. But a cam and some headers?
