This was an alright Rumble PPV. While it wasn’t the best, it was still a fun time, at least for me. The Women’s Rumble was definitely the best match for me, Naomi returning, Jordynne Grace made an appearance, Jade Cargill FINALLY debuting and looking like a big star, and of course, Bayley winning the Rumble. Man that was so well deserved🙂. While the Men’s Rumble wasn’t the best in history, it still had its moments from Andrade returning, Brom Breakker looking the biggest badass ever, Cody and Punk being the final 2 was exciting for me, and Cody winning back to back for the first time since Stone Cold was amazing and I hope he can finish the story this year🤞🙏.
Overall, despite the issues, I enjoyed this show. Great review, bro.🙂👍

The fact that all of the F6 could come off as legitimate winners, the F4 were the betting favorites, and the F2 were the crowd/story favorites, it’s clear WWE has a lot of talent for the present and future

My dislikes:
The crowd showing favoritism towards LA Knight.
AJ got pinned by The Bloodline... again. (LA Knight should’ve taken the pin.)
Man, the fatal 4 way match was good imo, the match really came to a stop when solo showed up. Roman shoulda did this ☝️ himself.

Royal Rumble 2024 was fantastic
2024?
24 was better with better entrant spots than last year. This year similar spots from last year occurred like Karrion, santos, Bobby and ricochet. This rumble Chad should’ve entered in pat’s or ricochet’s spot and eliminated Gunther, where priest or Sami could’ve been final 4 along with Drew. Some eliminations were not justified like Jimmy, Finn and omos getting eliminated by Bron; jey been the iron man, again gunther in final 3

This was basically a Raw Royal Rumble. All of the SD guys were a afterthought. This Rumble lacked highlights and 1st time confrontations
The main event of smackdown was all in the fatal 4 way or the us champ match bar lashley but Raws mid card scene is so much better than smackdown

I was there. It was alright. They popped for the very obvious moments but didn't pop for things like jey vs Jimmy (outside of jeys entrance) it was literally just 80% LA knight fans 15% CM punk fans & 5% Cody fans

I was really happy with this years Royal Rumble. I don’t really see much of what others are saying with people being disappointed with the Rumble.
The Women’s rumble was awesome with having the returning Naomi and the surprise Jordynne Grace. There was some great comedy with R-Truth mistaking thinking it was the men’s rumble, Chelsea getting bodied the entire match. Nia making me actually like her with her dominance and then having Jade Cardgill debut and have her elimination Nia all by herself. The final few were great having a returning Liv, the debuting Jade and the fan favorite Bayley.
The fatal 4-way was fun it started slow but I love how Roman really sold the finishers everyone hit on him, cannot deny his selling. The match did fall flat when Solo interfered but atleast he didn’t have anything to do with the actual finish. I do wish that some of those guys in this match showed up in the Rumble as well especially LA Knight.
KO vs Logan was so awesome if the women’s rumble wasn’t so good probably would have been my match of the night. The cocky rookie Paul doing everything he can to get under the skin of KO while KO just rocks his shit. Eventually Paul starts figuring out KO’s offense and tries to do his normal interference with the brass knuckles since his knockout punch didn’t work, the ref was smart throughout the match knowing this would happen and got security to kick that guy out only to have Theory slide the brass knuckles in. KO already knew this would happen and was able to counter it but sunk to Paul's level by using the weapon which costed him the match. Logan Paul as much as I dont like the guy keeps getting better in ring.
The Men's rumble was really great too but only lacked in a few aspects. Jey and Jimmy being number 1 and 2 was an awesome thing I didnt think about but I wish Jimmy wasnt just eliminated by Bron and further the Uso Maina feud. R-Truth showing his great comedy getting a hot tag during a rumble, plus him getting JD eliminated and even helping Dom not get eliminated. Bron really showing how awesome he is and how his main roster debut is really overdue by now. Carmelo was awesome but wish we also got to see Trick in the match to further continue that story. I loved the final 2 being Punk and Cody the 2 people everyone wants to win the rumble and the mini match was great but could tell Punk was gassed. I was surprised to see Cody win mainly cause I was fully brought into Punk winning what really sold the victory to me and what made me really excited was seeing Cody find Roman in the crowd and cementing that he is on the road to finish his story, no Punk or Rock getting in the way.
I have to shout out commentary, I could tell especially with Pat McAfee being there that Cole and Graves were having alot of fun throughout the whole event. I have to call out the crowd for once again just being lame

I quite liked it could've been better but considering the controversy involving Vince (and Brock Lesnar somehow) plans most likely were changed hence not as many returns compared to past Rumbles especially in the Men's Rumble so I'll honestly hand them a bone for not many suprise entrants. There being only 2 Rumble matches and 2 championship matches is interesting and something I wouldn't fully mind but feel like maybe 1 more match should've been added but if this is the new norm with the Rumble PLE'S I won't mind. Could've been more returns in the Rumble but I quite liked both Rumbles hopefully next years has a bit more return and suprise entrants. If Jordan Grace in the Rumble means WWE and TNA are doing some sort of partnership then we can probably see more suprises some from TNA by next year.

I’ll be honest. The PLE delivered overall. The women’s rumble match was very enjoyable and much better than the men’s. Naomi returned a year and a half later after leaving the company, Jordynn Grace made her debut, liv made her return and last but not least Jade Cargill made her debut after months of hyping her up.
Female RR was fire. CM punk felt slow and cody looked like he was doing more of the heavy lifting. Which is to be expected.
The improvement to 90 seconds per entrant made me able to watch the whole Rumble. Glad Naomi was back. Vega was 🔥🤩. Bianca vs Grace was koo and Bianca and Cargill stare down while holding opponents. They did Valhala dirty. Randy should of won after the RKOs or Aj after the Styles Clash, even La Knight. Made it seem like Roman can't win without the Bloodline and its tiresome. KO was giving Logan that work, he should have won the US title. They are making Bobby look weak again, I can tell his 2k rating will drop this year. I was wondering what spot Brock would have been if it weren't probably because the recent allegations, but I thought he'd have Ricochets spot. Glad Bron Breaker and Carmelo were in the Rumble, was hoping Trick would be too. McAfee spot was such a waste, he could of atleast took a bump. Would have preferred Rock at 30 over Zayn

I love Punk. Glad he came back, hope he stays and retires with WWE but I don’t understand wanting him to win the Rumble. Who comes back to the company-not after injury but after just leaving-and wins the Rumble in his first match?? Why does he deserve that, and he’s against a champ who’s literally injured. Plus Punk got tired early as hell. Cody was the consensus repeat guy before Punk came back, he has the story that they’ve waited a year for, and he’s facing the longest reigning champion in 30 years. He always should’ve won.
Outside of that the men’s Rumble was bad. Sami at 30?? A lot of wasted spots on midcarders and guys who aren’t really over and haven’t been on TV lately, and even worse the crowd was absolutely putrid. Part of it was on WWE itself, as apparently the crowd didn’t even have cameras of the guys on their entrance. And, the music. Everybody’s music is generic.
The Women’s Rumble however to me was amazing, not only is it the best women’s Rumble ever, but it’s one of the best Rumbles ive ever seen. I think everybody for the most part should have been there, although yet again the damn crowd. KC2 getting crickets is nuts, they just had the tag titles.
Finally, why did Solo need to interfere? You don’t need to protect anybody, it’s a Fatal Four Way. All you do is make the champ look weak. I saw it coming to be honest, but it really didn’t need to.

That fatal 4 way was the most fun version of predictable. Yeah, we knew Roman was winning, and Solowas gonna make the interference. But... the unexpected part was that Roman was the whipping boy for that entire match!
Both Rumble matches were good, but not perfect. The other two matches were meh. I had fun watching it tho and that's what matters

Everyone complained in the past years that wwe just overfilled the rumble with legends, and now, with the most stacked roster they have had in quite a while, they didn’t bring anyone back and still got crap for it. I don’t really get why fans can’t be happy with the product, instead most casuals think they have this say in what should happen

I liked the Women's rumble a bit more. I think that they had a better balance of fun moments, surprises and a bit of story that helps set up upcoming feuds. and it felt like it could've come down to Bayley, Jade, Becky and Nia winning which i generally think that if you're having multiple people who could believably win and be happy with the result than you've had a pretty good battle royal.
meanwhile for the mens we all know it was gonna come down to cody and punk winning, and like you mentioned, it was more likely cody's night because they wont be able to build up a punk/seth wm feud with him winning, and punk needs more time to get ready.
R-Truth stole the show
Ngl it had moments but I was disappointed. Going in I wanted Nia to win the rumble, then when it started I wanted Naomi and Cargill, but I wasn’t too mad at Bayley winning. They needed to build and maintain Roman’s dominance going into wrestlemania so letting him win fair and square, or even just heel shenanigans not involving the bloodline would’ve been great. I wanted Jey to win the rumble so he could finish HIS story, but when he came out at #2 I already knew what was up. But him starting against Jimmy was so interesting, I hoped midway thru it they’d team up again and start going USO Crazy and put the rumble on lockdown but nope. Even Paul Heyman telling Jimmy to enter the rumble made me hope he’d win and pick Roman to face at Mania, but nope. So…eh PLE. Hopefully elimination chamber saves us

The Smackdown roster had little to no showing during the Rumble. And a really big missed opportunity not having LA Knight in the Rumble.

and im surprised that MJF wasnt in the RR cause some speculations have been told that he may leave AEW and come to WWE once his contract expires but probably not in the near future cause from what i know AEW is going broke and almost every superstar is gonna go to WWE, TNA, NJPW, etc
Honestly highly disagree on the quality, I think this was a fantastic show and probably had the best women's rumble so far def match of the night with a very deserved winner. 4-way was fun and happy that Solo didn't interfere TOO much and got taken out, didn't expect Styles to take the pin at all. KO/Paul was fine, felt like a TV match imo but the finish was genius, did not want KO having to just job to Paul so losing via DQ is awesome. Men's rumble was cool but the final 5 was the most interesting moments of the match besides Andrade returning, Truth's tag spot, Bron's wreckage of the field, and Jey/Jimmy starting, Cody winning was a shock IMO def thought Punk would get it but it definitely makes sense while Punk can be the one who goes ballistic trying to get to Mania instead. People are being hella fickle on Sami being 30, they were clamoring for Sami to replace Cody or beat Reigns last year at the Chamber to meet Cody at Mania now he's a "waste" of a 30 like fuck outta here.

BOBBY LASHLEY AND BRONN BREAKER SHOULDVE HAVE A FACE-OFF
It was very difficult to choose the winner unlike last year but it was a decent Royal Rumble. The women's Royal Rumble was peak. Naomi returning setting a then record of longest time in the match. Jade Cargill taking out Jax by herself and having a stare down with Belair. I'm glad Liv Morgan returned but Bailey was the well deserved winner and setting the new Royal Rumble record of being the the longest time in the match. Jax tied the record of most eliminations in a single match. Joining the likes of Belair and Ripley. Honourable mentions goes to Jordan Grace putting TNA wrestling on the map and R Truth having a brain fart moment that lead to Valhalla getting eliminated within 5 seconds.
It was predictable Roman Reigns was going to retain. La Knight will be a champion but not at Roman's expense I'm afraid. An inevitable Aj Styles heel turn is coming and this could lead the O.C to break up. La Knight is likely to dethrone Logan Paul for the U.S title.
Speaking of Logan Paul, his shenanigans backfired but unfortunately Owens was caught red handed thus Logan retains. Not a bad match to be honest. Say what you want about Logan Paul but you can't deny his in ring ability.
The men's Royal Rumble was mid. Cody Rhodes didn't need to win the Rumble anyways to finish his story against Roman Reigns. It was a missed opportunity for either Uso twins to eliminate each other setting up a WrestleMania match. Punk should have won but he was going to face Rollins regardless. Could this be a heel turn coming for Punk? Drew McIntyre will find more excuses why he failed yet again despite Zayn returning. As for Gunther, another great showing for him. It's crazy that a heel wins most of his matches clean. Highlight of the match R Truth entering the match again and JD getting eliminated in an instant. Only for Priest had enough of R Truth's antics and eliminating him. Priest rebelling in The Judgement could plant the seed of their implosion.
If the fans turn on Cody after he wins the championship he’ll become a huge heel

Usually I agree with you WP but I feel like you really missed the mark with this one. The Women's Rumble match this year was one of if not the best one they've ever had and had plenty of memorable spots. The only thing missing from this one was the lack of legends returning but even then everything else in this match definitely made up for it.
We need the insane super egotistical paranoid roman back honestly after elimination chamber if he faces the Rock, causing him to destroy the bloodline weeks before WrestleMania which takes him back to the character he was in 2020 , cody with his family,roman with nothing but a leech which jey uso called him
