Never for the WWE title when the streak became a thing. It also would've added interest as you would not be certain wether Taker would win or not.

I would have preferred Cena-Punk-Rock triple threat for the title given the storyline. They could have done Taker-Jericho with Jericho doing all the heel stuff in the build up that Punk did.

Wrestlemania 29 was one of my favorite wrestlemanias of all time all I really cared for was the main event. Cena needed his win back and I remember being so happy he beat the rock.
I loved this one too, I genuinely had invesed in nearly every storyline. 2013 is one of my top two years in Westling as a whole. So great
Hated that they did “Once in a lifetime” twice just so Cena could get his win back. If you’re gonna do that, don’t advertise it as once in a lifetime. One match card for me, and that’s Taker vs Punk. Everything else could pass on Raw apart from Brock vs Triple H and I don’t even think they had good chemistry

The Rock vs John Cena was legendary .. during the 3 year feud and back 2 back WrestleMania main events… I don’t care if the match is good or bad but they delivered.. the promos ,the segments and the build up altogether is must see TV between Rock and Cena (2011-2013)
CM Punk vs. The Undertaker was the best match of the night.
They honestly should’ve closed the show with the WWE title on the line. Definitely would’ve been far better than that “twice in my lifetime” nonsense.

WrestleMania 29 was very mid. This was sadly the last PPV I saw live as a kid before I got bored with the product and took a 5 year break from wrestling. It wasn’t all bad, as the opening match was fun, Taker Vs Punk was great, and HHH Vs Lesnar was ok. While Cena Vs Rock II isn’t the worst thing in the world, it shouldn’t have happened given the previous year’s marketing, and the rest was eh. It is what it is, but to those who like this Mania, more power to you.👍

It makes it worse that WWE blatantly lied to our faces with a whole “once in a lifetime” marketing nonsense from the previous year. Plus, The Rock made it clear on an interview a few years after that the whole plan was to extend his feud with Cena from ‘Mania 27-29 all along. CM Punk was also robbed of his WrestleMania main event people can say what they want about Punk but one thing nobody can deny is that he definitely deserved to main event ‘Mania 29.*

The main reason I loved this wrestlemania is because I remember watching it live I was in 6th grade at the time and I was literally yelling like crazy when John cena beat the rock I was elated that made this an all timer for me.
