love the idea of inculta outside the tops trying to talk to the courier but theyre already a mile down the street

Strongly disagree, this one mostly requires very good stop-hopping and knowing the route. Regular any% requires not only perfect stop-hopping but also perfectly executed reload dashes and infinite dashes. That shit can be inconsistent af too.
However, I 100% agree that glitchless is much more enjoyable to watch. It’s so much fun to watch good clean movement rather than a flying courier
Mr House saw that 40mm projectile running straight ahead of him and thought he would be safe. He didn’t know the courier could hacks in computers in microseconds
Forget the speed run and the time, simply able to outrun Cazadors and not take fall damage is an achievement in its own. I solute you brother!

I know the bunny hopping is an unintended mechanic, I think it teeters on glitch. I am the ultimate authority on fallout speedruns. If this wasn't my first time seeing bunny hopping in fallout I would disqualify you 10 subscribers

We just call it "Classic" Glitchless, as that's what was done before the hopping was allowed. Here's the leaderboard since it was re-added
Can someone please explain to me how he is able to fast travel to some of these locations before discovering them?
And how he was able to keep the grenade launcher in the casino?
The fast travel pop-up is delayed - so if I'm fast enough, I can fast travel to a location (take Black Mountain for example) before the discovery pop-up shows on screen. Because I've ran this game for so long, I have pretty much memorized exactly when I'll discover a location, and I can pull up the pip-boy exactly when I discover.
At The Tops, Swank gives me my weapons back once I pass the Speech check about how Benny is a fink, ya dig?

It's required for Yes Man's ending to "meet all the tribes" and the Ultra Luxe is considered one of them - just talking to Mortimer and saying goodbye is enough to satisfy the quest requirement. Similar to why we enter and leave the Gomorrah to meet the Omertas, and why just need to (essentially) discover Red Rock Canyon for the Khans

Hey could you explain how 21:55 is not a glich or rather what you did there? Is this not some quickload shenaniganery?
Yes, so that is a COC trigger, or "center on cell." Each area has this trigger to act as a failsafe if the player goes out of bounds. Most of them are below the ground or under buildings, but this one, known as the "besk skip," (named after besk who found it), can be accessed with a couple stophops around the tower. So the game thinks you're out of bounds and puts you at a pre-designated spot within that cell. No quickloads :) And yes it does seem kinda glitchy but the community has decided to allow it. It saves like 4 seconds or so
I'd like to see one of these runs without the hopping, as a separate category. But I'll be trying the monorail trick in my next playthrough lol

You only run any% yes man and glitchless? Why not try other categories? I shall suggest creating a new category, basically all the same but with YUP patch and few other patches which only fix bugs making the game precisely bugless and glitchless as much as physically possible for the time being. Also why cap fps at 60? Sorry for this noob-moment-convo...
The game's speed is tied to framerate, so we keep it capped at 60 to make the game more accessible and consistent. If you play uncapped, the game moves a lot faster. And yeah I've done a couple other categories (snowglobes, max quests, House ending) but I could do some modded runs just for fun. There's going to be a small tournament for glitchless speedruns using the grappling hook mod soon, so that could be worth checking out!
How did you spawn with armor and weapons and how do you already have 50 speech by lvl 2?
10 Charisma, tagging speech, and +5 to all skills from the Skilled trait give me such high speech early on. And the armor and weapons are from the Mercenary Pack DLC

Waiting for an hour on each new Yes Man dialogue line shortens the pause between lines, so it effectively saves 7 seconds versus not waiting at all

I am currently trying to figure this game out with slow success. I keep restarting trying to better optimize my start. I am stuck in a loop between trying to stay neutral with everyone which kills my enjoyment of the game. Or choosing to gain experience faster which keeps resulting in difficulty spikes which kill my character in a few seconds.

Just because we pass him more directly on the way out. If I do it after, I can start moving towards the elevator door earlier and so it saves some time. We're gonna pass right over Benny's corpse no matter what so it's best to loot him then

It's the "A" key on the keyboard - I saw you've been playing on console so I'm not sure what the equivalent is on controller. Should be the same button for "Accept" during level ups

Sadly, the main movement tech of stophopping can only be done on keyboard and mouse as far as I know. However there is a different method called "block boosting" that is done with a controller, which can be useful for console runs. It's not quite as fast overall and kinda difficult, however. Also keep in mind that load times are removed for this run (and pretty much any other PC run) so any Xbox runs will probably need to be timed in real time. Some of the other tricks like the monorail jump and the hoover dam skip might be difficult or impossible as well on console. But speedrunning this game/category is still fun regardless in my opinion, so I would say to check out block boosting if you're set on console or controller only and just keep in mind you may have to use some other alternate strategies compared to this run

how do you set up autosplitter for fnv?
First you need to download the splits from the resources tab on speedrun.com (www.speedrun.com/fallout_nv/resources) and of course also Livesplit. Then you just open up the splits, right click, and go into the "edit splits" settings screen in Livesplit. At the top it should say that load removal is available, and there should be a settings button next to it. In there is the option to turn on the autosplitter so you just gotta check off the box for whichever category you're doing. But I do believe it only works with the splits provided in the resources online

Finally just finished this walkthrough trying to get the hardcore trophy, my ps3 was sure put through work at times 😂 but I managed to finally get it! Now I can enjoy the game at my own pace :)
New vegas very hard/hardcore mode on isn't hard. Is quite easy since you can get overpowered pretty early on.

I can't with the hopping. It is so annoying. Is there a no-hopping speedrun category? How about no fast travel?
There is indeed a no hopping category, if you go to speedrun.com, in the category extensions for this game there is a "classic glitchless" category. There is still fast travel, but no stophopping! Unfortunately there is still jumping though, as that is still faster than only walking. Maybe you could do your own run, with your own limitations? Sounds fun, would love to see it
@@PigSpots Normal strategic jumping makes sense. It is faster to jump downhill, jump over obstacles, jump repeatedly to help climb a steep slope, etc. but the continuous thump thump thump thump thump thump sound and shaking twisting screen view gives me a headache.

This is actually Italian! Italian is the fastest language for the unskippable dialogue we hear in this run. Other categories may use different languages - depending on the run, other languages may be faster
