Attack timing and staying behind the ball can be tricky when we are first learning to attack, but they are SO IMPORTANT!!! As beginners, try to always wait for the set/toss to be release, and THEN approach to the ball with power.
I have been out of coaching for about 10 years and I wanted to try to make sure the game has not passed me by. The explanations in the attacking videos was amazing! I am glad to know that I have been teaching it the same way all these years. These videos do a great job of breaking down the process.
Thank you so much for your videos! I love how you explain everything. I am learning so much from you. I've been playing volleyball for a while and have been struggling in hitting/spiking the ball but slowly but surely catching on.
Amazing video as always! I really admire volleyball players, bc I can barely see the other side of the net when I'm playing with my friends, and those HEROS can not only do all this steps like breathing but can aim a very small spot and make the point 👏👏👏👏
question, how do you know when to approach the ball? You said "wait for the setter to release the ball so you know where the ball is going" but when is that? When the ball is looping and then approach because that's when you know where the ball is falling.
Thank you for this video! Can you do a video of how to hit/attack if you're short? I'm 5'5" and I keep hitting my ball into the net (might be due to timing and/or the ball being over the wrong shoulder as you mentioned), but I also am not sure if the wrist motion should be different because I'm short? Thank you!
Hi Sarah i've two question : do you watch your hand or the field when you hit the ball ? I have this problem so i often miss the ball And what is the solution to avoid jumper knee ? When i jump, i never land on tiptoe maybe is that ? Ty
I’m not Sara leg but trying to help, I was taught to use the other hand, the other hand you are not hitting with as a target to locate the ball, like put that hand lined up with the ball and that way you hit it, it’s worked wonders for me, especially since I was having issue because I was missing the ball

Thanks so much! I'm glad you found the series helpful!
Helpful tips feel like I'm getting better using them. Shame that an Olympian's channel isn't getting as many views as other channels!
I'm so glad you are getting better!! Yeah... a lot of people claim to know a lot about volleyball, so it's tough to know what is what

Your videos are awesome. I’d love to see you include more diverse athletes in the fututre.
Thank you, Sarah! This helped me a lot already!
You are very welcome! I'm glad it was helpful!
