What I love about this fight scene is that it gives us a style between the two where vegeta is more of a grappler and brawler vs goku a martial arts master
A fight between two Otherworldly Warriors who have trained non-stop for 7 years. The results are what you see here. Blow for blow. Pound for pound. Fists colliding with enough force to blow away mountains. For Goku, he trained under the harshest conditions The Other World had to offer. He fought against warriors of the dead. Trained under the tutelage of gods and progressed to higher levels of power unknown to him. He even discovered a new form. For Vegeta, it was similar except he was training under the best technology. His drive, his motivation and his unyielding pride pushed him to new heights. The only thing that was missing?? The killer instinct. A means of no holds barred. No mercy. Babidi was only the key, Vegeta always had control. He just needed that push to make himself more....of his former self. So you add this state of mind to his Super Saiyan Powers and you get a foe that even Goku will have trouble with. Multiply all this with the intensity of this clash and it's a Rematch of Epic Proportions.

Man I love this. You rarely see an anime do any focus on footwork aside from the initial standoff. When it comes to a fight in real life your footing is one of the most important things.
