they’re made in romania, and since most of the eastern europe states are corrupt, it’s hard to go after them
One reason to always use a credit card!!! Seriously, the only place I go that uses cash is my barbershop that only has three barbers. Debit cards give you a slightly better rate, but they are too vulnerable and if you get scammed , it’s much harder to get your money back.
Reporter says "chip card can eliminate skimming"... yeah right, what a bunch of BS. The first use of my first chip ready card got it skimmed and days later there was almost $1000 spending in NY while I live in LA.
Umm, those are *not* elastic bands. They are ribbon cables used to convey electrical impulses from one part to another.
Pay cash. End of problem.
cash can be subject to wear and tear tho, and hard to carry. also when the cash is gone, you have no way to recover it, cash is the problem, not the end of it
Basically, to be safe, hit the card slot with a hammer to make sure its real each time you go to an atm or gas pump. Lol
If you find a skimmer use a bigger hammer. The places where they are installed almost always are involved, it takes awhile to install and there's no excuse for ignoring a punk fidgeting with their machines. So break up the whole machine, the courts will be more amused than outraged...personal experience speaking.
I use my credit cards but I ALWAYS walk inside, rain or shine or snow, and NEVER use the card slot at the pump!!!!

Skimmer inside a Walmart store! Damn! How the heck Walmart lets crooks messing with machines inside its stores? Holy moly!
1:28 people no longer even insert the chip, they just tap it. and paypass/paywave doesn’t have a lot of security except for sending signals only when tapped to an emv terminal, but you can still install a malware to the credit card terminal and copy that shit, so there’s no security
Why not use bluetooth signal jammer.
