What did you guys think of Alexia Ashford from Resident evil code Veronica and which Character do I need to cover in the next Episode of Explaining Evil? Thank You Everyone!!!
Tbh, I think Alexia Ashford is a interesting character study. Also can you do Ruvik from The Evil Within? Also I love your analysis/history videos. Keep up the great work✌🏾
I hated what they have done with them in the Darkside Chronicles. Their bizarre relationship is WAY more complexed and interesting in the OG game imo. The lullaby scene where Alexia sings to her now dead dear Alfred while she's unleashing all her wrath at Claire and Steve is one of my favorite RE scene. It always give me chills.
Is it bad that I don't like the "She kills Alfred" version of the scenario. Sure it makes her all extra scoop of evil but it's so predictable and to see the villain hold genuine, if not detached, affection for her brother is welcoming
1. Leon was telling the tale, so it's obvious that some details are going to be changed, because he was never a witness of the events at Rockfort. 2. Alexia sees herself as a Queen Ant, and the male ants are considered expendable to the colony.
No, it's an example of how the series unfortunately leaned towards "tell, don't show" with the file memos rather than cutscenes and the like. Code Veronica would have started off better taking place in the late 70's and early 80's as an introduction to events rather than Claire arbitrarily storming a facility and getting captured. Code Veronica was an unrelated plot thread to the lore so the player would definitely not have had any sort of advanced understanding of events other than who Wesker is. The writing could be done in a way that allowed for cliffhangers which would have been answered by the game upon playing it so as to not detract from those reveals later in the story. This game definitely needs a remake.
@@nameless646 Code Veronica is sadly a lost gem as new RE fans either have not heard of it or if they have it’s the Darkside Chronicle version. Code Veronica had some well fleshed out characters especially with Alexia and Alfred Ashford. The one thing about Darkside I enjoyed when it came to the Code Veronica mission was Steve as his story was better portrayed despite it’s shorter. My one nitpick was Alexia and Alfred’s sibling relationship. Though the mindset was correct with her being a Queen Ant, I wished they did a little better showing how the Twins only had each other. Though it’s told through Leon’s POV, your right as they told instead of showed more. Alexia and Alfred were complex, considering they were literally born from a test tube, and they only had each other since others were “different” from them. The original scene from the game captured the relationship well, and gave a good glimpse to they would face.
Stop with the remake demanding. Fuck! Why does almost everyone be like, "we need a remake", "remake this", "remake that". And you have to know in your heart of hearts, they're gonna Fuck It Up. RE1 REmake was amazing IMO. RE2 REmake was also excellent. RE3 REmake was pretty terrible IMO. I know Capcom is gonna fuck up the character models, the voices, the gameplay, just everything. But Hey! Let's remake it just for shits and giggles! Yeahhh! 🤦
@@maxdresser2526 and whilst i don't want a remake of either CVX or RE4...yeah Code Veronica is definitely more *deserving* than RE4. Like really, RE4 still holds up to this day. We just out of ideas, time to just renew, remake, all the same crap we already made. Shit, RE4 wasn't a remake. It was a new game that blew people's fucking heads, apparently. Now it's like what 15 years old? Wayell, let's just remake that. To be completely honest and fair, the trailer for the RE4 REmake did look good... It's just that we didn't need that. Or maybe some of you people did need it. Whatever idgaf

11:30 Despite her calling him that she did care about him in a twisted way given the implication that Alexia and Alfred were in an incestuous relationship and the fact that after Steve killed Alfred she put his body in her cryogenic pod, stopped Claire and Steve escaping the Antarctic Base in the snow plow, experimented on Steve just like she did Alexander and planned to avenge Alfred by having the monstrous Steve kill Claire.
I wish her English voice actress did more voice acting, she would of been outstanding but unfortunately Voice acting only pays minimum so she does live movies instead
I just noticed the founders of Umbrella were all murderd by their protoges or someone close to them. Orwell Spencer by Wesker. James Marcus by William/Spencer. Alexander Ashford by his daughter. The students surpass their mentors and just killed them.
"Alfred woke up in a world of pain. He could barely breathe, and there was blood on his face and in his nose and mouth, and when he tried to move, the agony was instant and overwhelming. Every inch of bone was bro - ken, cut or smashed or punctured, and he knew he was going to die. All that was left was his surrender to the dark. He was very afraid, but he ached so badly that per - haps sleep would be best...... Alexia... He couldn't give up, not when he'd been so close, not when he was still so close. He forced his eyes to open, and saw through a thin red haze that he was on one of the lower level platforms that jutted out into the mining pit. He'd fallen at least three levels, perhaps as many as five. "Aa...lexi...iaa," he whispered, and felt blood bubbling up from his chest, felt bones grinding as he shifted, felt afraid of the pain he'd have to endure - but he would go to her, because she was his heart, his great love, and he would be sustained by his name on her lips. [...] Alexia Ashford watched her twin die at her feet, bleeding and in great pain, reaching out to touch the stasis tank with adoration in his dying eyes. He'd never been particularly bright or competent, but she had loved him, very much. His death was a great sadness... but also the sign she'd been waiting for. It was time to come out. She'd known for some months that the end would be soon - or rather the beginning, the emergence of a new life on Earth. Her stasis had remained stable for most of the fifteen years she'd needed, her mind and body un - aware of life - unaware that she was suspended in freez-ing amniotic fluid, her cells slowly changing and adapting to T-Veronica. In the past year, however, that had changed. She had hypothesized that given enough time, T-Veronica would raise consciousness to new levels, expanding areas of the mind that would surpass simplistic human senses, and she had been correct. For the last ten months, she had begun experiencing herself in spite of stasis, testing her awareness... and she had been able to see through her human eyes, when she wished. Alexia reached out with her mind and turned off the support machines. The tank began to drain, and she stared out at her dear brother, most unhappy that he had died. She could choose not to employ her emotions, but she had been human with him; it seemed appropriate. When the tank was empty, Alexia opened it, stepping out into her new world. There was power everywhere, hers for the taking, but now she sat down in front of the tank and laid Alfred's bloody head in her lap, experienc - ing the sadness. She began to sing, a child's song that her brother had liked, stroking his hair back from his drawn face. There was sadness in the lines around his eyes and mouth, and she wondered what his life had been like. She wondered if he'd stayed at Rockfort, stayed at Veronica's home, the home of their ancestors. Still singing, Alexia reached out to her father - and was surprised to find him missing, either dead or beyond her range of perception. She had touched his mind only recently, studying what was left of it. In a way, he was re - sponsible for what she had become; the T-Veronica had turned his mind to sludge, had driven him insane... as it would have to her, if she hadn't tested it on him, first. She stretched her awareness, finding sickness and death in the upper levels of the terminal. A pity. She had been looking forward to beginning her experiments again, immediately; without test subjects, she had no reason to stay. She found two people not far from the Umbrella facil - ity and decided to flex her control over substance, to see how much effort it took - and found that it was hardly an effort at all. She concentrated for just a few seconds, saw a male and female inside of a snow machine, and wished for them to be brought back to the facility. Instantly, lines of organic matter tore through the ice, ripping toward the vehicle. Amused, Alexia watched with her senses as a giant tentacle of new-formed sub - stance rose up and curled around the machine, lifting it effortlessly into the air - and then threw it back at the facility. The machine tumbled end over end, its engine bursting into flame, and came to rest against one of the Umbrella buildings. Both were still alive, she thought, and was well pleased. She could use one of them in an experiment she'd been thinking about for weeks, and would surely find a good use for the other in due time. Alexia continued to sing to her dead brother, in-trigued by the changes she could see coming, looking forward to gaining a fuller mastery of her new powers. She stroked his hair, dreaming." (from the novelization of Code Veronica by SD Perry).
Wait..the stasis machine turning off tht wasn't automatic..tht was alexia turning it off with her mind?! Seems project umbrellas hypothesis on progenitor granting certain individuals telekinesis/telepathy in some form or another was correct..wow..
@@sherif956 Yes, that's one of the abilities given to Alexia by the T-Veronica virus, which she created, according to the novel (you're free to see this as canon in the game or not). This specific virus was really something, making Alexia extremely powerful (almost omnipotent/omniscient) in the novel. At this point, she was basically a godess. She even guides Chris to Claire's location just by moving objects with her mind, placing them in a line to show him the way. And she could see what was going on in the island despite being in Antartica, witnessing, without being physically there, Chris and Wesker's first encounter. That's also with her mind that she activates the computer and let Wesker knows where she is during this confrontation. She doesn't activate conventionally but with her power/ Again, according to the book.
4:12 Alexander was wrong there since his research ended up creating 2 psychopaths who, after finding out they were only born to make up for his mistake Alexia and Alfred injected him with the T-Veronica Virus then chained him under the base when he mutated into Nosferatu and also probably tortured and gouged his eyes out before the experiments as well.
Alexia and Wesker were the most evil villains in the series. Wesker being most. Even Spencer had a friend in Miranda. But Wesker had no regard whatsoever for anyone or anything. They were all just things. In the original timeline Alexia cared somewhat for her brother but not in the Darkside Chronicles. The way to judge evil in a character is to weigh how much good they have in them. Do they have any friends? Do they love anyone? Do they admire or respect anyone. Wesker had none of this. He was completely devoid of any humanity.
Alexia reminds me heavily of former CEO of Theranos, Elizabeth Holmes. Both blonde, intellectually above average, charming, sociopathic, experts in the medical field and willing to put the world in danger to achieve their delusional dreams of global dominion.
@@godisjihyo3615 goes without saying that it's albert wesker. for long time fans, there's only one wesker. the same one who started S.T.A.R.S. and became a high ranking officer in umbrella. liberated multiple facilities that were to be defunct. destroyed the company whilst pushing forward with his agenda for personal power and producing bioweapons to make up the finances.
Wesker and Chris ware really close friends before the betraying of wesker this is why it really hurt Chris the most also wesker as much as he hates Chris he genuinely recepact him and you can see something in code veronica that wesker wants Chris's approval because he could've killed him multiple times 😂 Even in resident evil 1 novel wesker seemed to admire Chris
This game is often overlooked because of some of the silly dialogue, but story wise its really quite a disturbing plot, and the Ashford family having such a disturbing background should really be counted with some importance in the overall RE story.
Yeah, I remember early on when the game just came out on how drastically different the tone was. The Ashford Twins gave me the creeps, especially with that Video of them both looking into each others eyes.
I think that like Wesker, finding out that she and Alfred had been manufactured and all their lives were the product of another's attempt at legacy drove Alexia completely insane. Much like Clone Madness, she tried to do what her progenitor had sought, but on a larger scale to attempt to escape their shadow.
This makes so much sense and I agree. When these people found out they were created and cloned to further someone else's ambitions and goals it triggered something within them to make them not only want to hurt and kill their creator and prove that they are superior to them in every way which they did on all counts. Spencer, and Alexander both created monsters that they had to keep in check or else they would become the horsemen of the apocalypse....not to mention they were child prodigies with genius level intelligence .......the perfect soldier or perfect being is always bound to have a mental health flaw...............look at sephiroth!
I don't think Wesker really cared. He was more having a revelation. He didn't feel shame or guilt. He's not capable of sorrow or remorse. He wouldn't care of someone did the worst they could to him. As long as it got him power. He's devoid of humanity therefore I can't see him being emotionally hurt by anyone. He cared about one thing and one thing only, power.
@@lopirobinson1991 I don't think it was remorse or guilt, I think it was more of wounded pride and ego. Wesker always prided himself on being smarter and better than everyone else. When he learns he's just an experiment and largely following programming Spencer had put into all the Wesker children, you can see him get visibly angry and annoyed in the flashback cutscenes of RE5. Spencer wanted to do the plan Wesker eventually did, but recognized it was too unstable to implement fully. Wesker, by contrast after his encounter with Spencer and the revelation that he's basically a test tube eugenics experiment instead of his own man, becomes increasingly reckless and develops a rampant god complex. If you look at his actions before RE5, he's much more careful and calculating. It's even stated by the creators of RE5 that the Uroboros he injected himself with would have consumed him eventually, which means that the missiles he was going to launch into the atmosphere and cover the earth with, would have unleashed a virus that would have wiped out his "New Genesis" along with its creator. Where he was arrogant and coldly calculating in RE 0-4, after he learns the truth in 5, he pretty much goes full on nuts and his plans become self destructive.
@@grandadmiralzaarin4962 Everything he did in 5 was probably an attempt to prove himself better than Spencer after killing him and succeed where he failed. "I'll become the god and create the new race you didn't old man" basically.
Even though the game Code Veronica does have its problems, one of the reasons to play the game is its villains. I like how creepy and dark Alfred and Alexia are.
Thanks for shining some light on one of the greatest and overlooked villains in the franchise. Alexia is hands down the best female antagonist and she’s honestly my fav over every major one in the series.
As a new fan Alexia is now my favorite RE villain, I can't believe she isn't popular and I never heard of her when I got into the series starting with 7 then really 8. She's definitely someone who should've gotten the attention she deserved especially for leaving just as much of an impact on the series as Wesker. I absolutely love her in the CV novel where she has more powers like advanced awareness, pyrokinesis and telekinesis. If they remake CV i really hope they'll expand on her character in a way that surpasses the original, she really deserves another chance.
@@insectwarriorjojo7780 Sadly no, but the S D. Perry Novels give more in depth characterisation and fill in some plotholes. For example Alexia in the novel was watching Chris and Wesker on Rockford Island all the way from the Antarctic base with her advanced awareness. She was able to talk to them which explains why in the game Wesker heard her laughing when he was about to kill Chris. Another example is Alexia's telekinesis, she let herself out of cryostasis and was guiding Chris through the Antarctic base by unlocking doors and turning off lights signaling that he was going the wrong way. It's also worth noting that the novel is based on the Dreamcast version of Code Veronica and not of CVX, so Wesker leaves without a sample of T-Veronica. He did try to fight Alexia but she surrounded him with her pyrokinesis.
@@jeremyknight9980 , that a shame. Capcom or least resident evil creators and team. should make it canon. that make alexia Ashford true queen. if she able to do that. Espically give wesker a run for his money. But if they ever did remake it? hope they display more of powers and least talk in her forms. like they did in dark side chronicles. Espically her death more gruesome. and hope they don't censored her nude 1form. boy she hot.
Sheer excellence. Nice job explaining my favorite RE villain. I truly hope to see her again in a remake of Code Veronica if and when and it does actually happen
I do hope we get a Remake of Code Veronica as well. Imagine the Aesthetic of the Private Residence in todays Graphics, especially with that Suspended Doll.
@@HeYDeVuH My only fear is that they would cut that. I was always favorable to remakes, but thanks to RE3, now I have more mixed feelings. Still, RECV remake would be awesome if done like RE2, specially considering that this game doesn't have two campaigns to make the chronology weird like RE2.
@@Hayuume I feel a lot would be cut, I just finished it and forgot how much backtracking there was in this one more than other re games. Still would love more lore added to Claire and the Ashfords
@@John_shepard I think they shouldn't cut anything a new sandbox type level using the Ashford mansion in a Code Veronica Remake would be amazing and they could put a Tyrant equivalent in there to keep things tense
Definitely preferred the original game’s depiction of Alexia. The whole point was that despite her megalomania and ego, a part of her did sincerely love Alfred (not as much as her brother feels for tho). She calls him a loyal yet inept soldier ant, yet when he dies, her immediate reaction is to send tentacles out to beat the shit out of the people likely responsible. She sits and cradles and strokes her dead brother when theres noone to witness her, shes mourning him because she does feel upset. Heck she got dressed and returned to cradling his corpse AGAIN when Chris sees her. And then she placed Alfred’s body in the cryofreezer, and I 100% believe her plan was to use mad science to find a way to resurrect him. She later cites Alfred dying as the reason she wants to torture Claire, Steve, and later Chris when she finds out he’s Claire’s brother. She wants the Redfield siblings to feel her pain of losing a beloved sibling. That’s what made Alexia compelling, that she was both typical RE villain out for world domination, and also how she was still motivated to avenge a brother she thought was beneath her and replaceable, until he was actually gone and she realized how sad that would actually made her feel.
Resident Evil: Code Veronica totally needs a remake! It is one of my all time favorite games in the series, and at one time I thought it was perfect just the way it was, but now I've changed my mind. I absolutely want to see it get remade!! Capcom, please make it happen!!!
@@HeYDeVuH And there's only one thing I want Capcom to add on CODE Veronica remake, put Jill, Barry and Rebecca, Jill, Claire and Steve wondering the Rockfort Island will be awesome to see since we never got to see Jill and Claire interacting with each other or working together on any RE game (Death Island is an animated movie) and Barry and Rebecca helping Chris on rescuing both Jill and Claire would've make, Barry, at that time, still think he needed to atone for what he did in the Arklay Mountains and Rebecca aiding the guy who saved her on Spencer Mansion by saving his sister makes perfect sense and her analyzing the T-Veronica and his creatures would be cool, and not counting that Wesker's reunion and fights with Jill, Chris, Barry and Rebecca would've been incredible to watch and play!
I prefer the original version of their relationship. I think it makes things more creepy and disturbing to where Alexia cares for Alfred, especially since it is implied to be incestuous.
great video you should do Vincent Goldman from RE survivor there are a lot files centered around him being extremely ruthless and cruel commander and the disturbing Origins behind Hypnos T-type and honesty he is underrated villain even tho in game he only showed up few times.
The real question to ask is "Why is Alexia so beautiful? " Power in the hands of woman like Alexia is always sexy, especially when they are a perfect being.
That's a great question. I think RE4 Remake, though I would want them to redo 5 and 6 and tone done the action quite a bit add a lot more Horror elements
In the Code Veronica manga (unlike in the game and in the novel), Claire actually sees Alexia for the first time as she captures her. Claire is attacked and almost killed by a Hunter but is saved by Alexia who feels this kind of death is "not painful enough", and she has better plans for her. So she kills the Hunter herself and then attacks Claire, in order to use her as a bait to lure Chris in Antarctica, promising a slow death for both of them as part of her experiments. I just finished reading this manga and, although it follows the plot of the game quite well, it also contains pretty unique elements and details that you don't see in the game or in the novel (which also has its unique stuff). Alexia's and Alfred's psychology and motivations are pretty well explored here too.
I actually like these videos. I've been playing Resi games since day one. And you still know more than me lol 😂 I've always known the game cannon storytelling but you're showing other part that are happening at the same time or just after. I love this Content. Can't wait to see more.
There was nothing incestual between Ashford twins, Alfred's letter was meant to represent the overall theme of Alexia, which was her fixation on ant hive mind, where she see herself as ant queen and everyone else being her servant. This was even more clear in Darkside Chronicle, which is retelling of events of past games. She flat out tells everyone should serve her (because she's ant queen). This is also why she mutates into insect forms during her final fight. Another major theme is family ties and sibling relations, which is why we get to play as Redfields, and where Chris and Claire go out of their way to help and save each other, Alexia straight up murders her "imbecile brother" for failing to wake her at specified time. He awakes her earlier which is why Veronica virus wasn't fully bonded with her, which is why she wild mutates and Redfields are able to defeat her. This meant to her everyone is disposable, including her twin brother. She is also the first straight up evil villain, Wesker wasn't really evil dude till his retcon, he was just shady double agent. Alexia on the other hand was straight up evil, she sees everyone as disposable and herself as "queen" where everyone should serve under her.
Noble families were known to inbreed in order to keep the bloodline pure and not have it be tainted by mating with peasants. Alfred while not flat out saying he had those feelings for her it did give off that vibe. I like that in the original Alexia cared for her, while she did view him as lower she still cared. Having her kill him in DC makes her just like every other villain who only cares about herself removing the complexity of her original character. Alfred's death was why she went after Clair and Steve.
Alexia is now my favorite RE villain, I absolutely love that she created a variation of the T-virus that surpassed the original. Despite her and Alfred's relationship being disturbing I love it when villains actually care about their family or minions, it shows that they still have a shred of their humanity making them more complex. I love that in the S. D. Perry novel she has more abilities like pyrokinesis, telekinesis and advanced awareness. She left just as much of an impact on the series as Wesker and I wish she got to live, she still would've been stronger than him by RE5. I am really hoping for a Code Veronica remake, if greenlit I hope it is done right or better yet surpasses the original. Alexia deserves so much more recognition. Strangely enough, Alexia is mostly what I was hoping Lady Dimitrescu would live up to be yet both villains have the very frustrating trait of not lasting long.
T-Veronica is one of the more desirable "Tyrant" viruses. Not only it somewhat preserves the intelligence of those infectedn the infected can decide when to release their physical limits, apparently it also enables the person to revert back to human form, not unlike what Steve did before dying, and also Alexia. Of course there's that 15year virus assimilation drawback but Possibly it could have been made more "stable" or reliable, like the type-2 plaga that has a much faster parasite maturation cycle in the human body. Of course, the most desirable thing would be something like what Wesker has, that simply enhances the human body as it physically is.
Awesome man 👍🤗😀, maybe you can do Alex Wesker ? also Albert Wesker ? ... there are so much possibilitis, thanks for these kind of videos love them ❤️✌️
I think it's really cool that the heroes and villains in this game are both siblings. I'm not sure if it means anything, but I don't think Alexia and Alfred would be as impactful if the story wasn't Claire looking for Chris, and was instead Leon and Jill teamed up for some reason.
So leaches were used with the progenitor Epsilon stain to make the T-Virus and the T-Veronica virus was made by combining ancient Ant DNA with the Progenitor Epsilon? I always forget that...I think the story of the founders of Umbrella is most interesting thing of the overall Umbrella story honestly. I feel like 6 should've been the last of the RE games honestly. They could have just started a separate series for 7 & Village, and started remaking ALL of the RE Titles in the Umbrella Saga as it's own series. I think that would've worked out better. Because everything in the games came full circle in 6 after Spencer died before RE5. The Government that has been involved in Umbrella's rise was caught in it's lies and creation of their "perfect" virus using the previous viruses that were made by Umbrella, the C-Virus (the T-Veronica Virus combined with the "Perfect" G-Virus, the combination of the Base G-Virus and the DEVIL Vaccine). The G-Virus base was discovered in Lisa Trevor after being injected with the T-Virus that was finalized by William Birkin after killing the actual creator Alexander Marcus. I think that all tied together nicely and would've been better overall, even if the tone changed, the story at least carried over. So people bitch a little too much. We should be happy we grew up with the first part of the 6 part series (sextology?) as it was to be honest. The last 3 were action based, the first 3 were horror based and they all had an overall good connected story. So I think we need to be a little more grateful for ALL the games in the series. The Revelations ones I am not really a fan of because I think it's so unnecessary to add one time viruses into the games (T-Phobos was especially dumb, but T-Abyss was kind of okay I guess...since it made sense from a terrorist perspective to make an aquatic version of the T-Virus). But ya, Marcus almost finished the T-Virus, before being killed by Birkin and Wesker (via Spencer), then Birkin finished it and used it on Lisa Trevor at the Trevor Estate. He then used the Alpha parasites absorbed DNA with the T-Virus he finished, Ebola, Progenitor Epsilon strain, etc. to find the G-Virus. Which then was combined with a virus that the "Granddaughter" of Edward Ashford created after being perfected with its vaccine lol. What a connection if you think about it. Then it was FINALIZED (The C-Virus) with Wesker's son's blood, man did they go to great lengths to really tie off everything and connect it all. So even if Marcus and Ashford don't seem important they really are, because without them there would be no C-Virus or any virus, since the T-Virus (almost completed) and T-Veronica were made by the two founders not named Spencer lol. he's just a dick that stole all the research for the T-Virus and got Edward Ashford killed as well, leading to the T-Veronica virus being made ironically (since it has no actual T-Virus in it; it was the Progrenitor Epsilon base but not the actual T-Virus. And before people mix viruses up, the T-Veronica was NOT released to anybody except Steve and Alexander ironically (and Alexia obviously but the right way). The island base and the antarctic base only had the T-Virus there because it was done and the base for every other future virus (not the T-Veronica virus though). So all enemies encountered in the game are indeed T-Virus creations but only 3 are T-Veronica Virus creations. The the island and Antarctica only had it because Umbrella had it by then). I don't know the lore interests me as much as the games themselves...but I'll always say that 4 is the weakest in story because Las Plagas only has one tie and that's to Uroboros that Wesker made using the dominant and the T-Virus perfected (vaccinated as well like Sherry's G-Virus). And to think we were content with about one page double spaced of text in games growing up before this lol...I remember games having less than a paragraph of story when I was a kid, it's hilarious how they've become "blockbuster" movies now in comparison. Now it's even worse where they have to carry social messages, uh. Man, do I not envy anyone born later than at least the early 90's.
I loved this episode of Explaining evil very much. Beautiful as always 9/10 Alexia has always been one of my favorites. For the next character is there any way you can explain William Birkins madness i was confused was he always a villain or did he become worse when he injected the virus?
Glad you enjoyed the Episode and much more to come. Also yes definitely, William Birkin was always one of my favorite Villains in this series so I will cover him soon.
I've heard a lot of people say that Wesker is the most evil person in RE, but I don't agree. He's very ruthless and cold, to a sociopathic degree. But besides his hate for specific individuals making him lose his control, he isn't just a murderous lunatic. Alexia, on the other hand, absolutely is. And she's so psychotic that she views human beings as worker ants and drones meant to be used and spent on her whims. Even her own father and brother, the second of which especially cared for and would do anything for her, were utterly disposable on a mere whim. Luckily she met her well deserved end before things like Uroboros, the C virus, and the Mold got into her hands. Cause if she'd gotten ANY of those, it would cause an apocalyptic situation VERY quickly.
Only in DC she didn't care for Alfred, in the original his death was why she went after Clair and Steve. If she did survive I think she probably would've stuck with T-Veronica and continued to advance it along with herself. She definitely would've been pissed about the C virus and Wesker getting a sample from Steve.
In Alexia's defense, Alexander deserved that. Alexander didn't want a child to love and care, he wanted means to fix his failures. To Alexander, Alexia was a tool and a successful project, not a daughter to be cared for, sacrificing her childhood for his own selfish purposes.
I hope they will remake it. The T Veronica virus have a lot important in Uroboros project. And also important for the creation of the C Virus. Plus in the Javier Mission, the T Veronica is there. It’s one of the most important virus on the Resident Evil franchise ❤
As far as Resident Evil villains go, I liked Alexia. She had so many layers of what potentially went wrong with her yet I'm not sure she was very stable even before learning the truth of her birth. She and Alex Wesker from RE Revelations 2 are female villains that are genuinely evil in my opinion though I don't like Alex Wesker at all honestly as she just doesn't have anything interesting about her. The other female villains I can think of are Carla Radames and Mother Miranda - going with head/lead female villains hence why I won't mention Alcina and Donna. Carla is a villain but first and foremost she was misguided, used and became a victim that became a villain so I don't see her as evil and I feel pity for her. Mother Miranda I think is as evil as Alexia Ashford but I feel she has some insanity as well that came from her grief and obsession with her dead daughter. I don't think I can find much to pity Alexia and Miranda for though because their evil deeds exceed their tragic histories for me. I don't consider Jessica from Revelations or Ada as evil yet perhaps not exactly villains. I'm not sure I can label them. But Alexia Ashford is my favorite villain from RE. I think her and Mother Miranda may be my number one and two favorite of all RE villains actually. Albert Wesker and Alex Wesker are my least favorites though at least with Albert Wesker I love to hate him, unlike Alex Wesker. I find her pretty boring and forgettable. Am I alone in that? I also find the female villains tend to be more interesting. 1. Alexia Ashford - best of all RE villains in my opinion 2. Mother Miranda - a great villain with a motive most can somewhat empathize with but equally condemn for the extent of her evil 3. @HeY DeVuH What if I told you that the nonexistent face model of Chris in REmake/Code Veronica actually does exist in real life and is waiting to be discovered?
Spencer founded Umbrella together with Alexander's father Edward and James Marcus. Spencer wanting to maintain power overall had Edward and James killed while Alexander wanted to maintain power by creating an air to the Ashford family that was a clone of the late genius Veronica Ashford. Mind you this was back when there was no such thing as Miranda, she wasn't involved with Umbrella but she did inspire him to do what he did.
I'd say that bad parenting, and social isolation molded Alexia to be so misanthropic and evil. Probably didn't help that Alexander had messed around with Alexia's genes to increase her intelligence (likely it made her mentally unstable).
The point of her was meant being so pretty looking is nothing to do with being a good person just remembered Charles Darwin was evil and he doesn't have any problem in his body unlike Stephen Hoben was handicapped but he was a good person
The Darkside Chronicles. Considering how different Alexia's personality is in that game (plus Alfred dying by her hand), I consider that game to be canonically dubious.
Alexia Ashford is not pure Evil she pure good person she is care and loves Alfred as a sister plus 10/10 better Than Willam and Albert Darkside chronicles is fake she won't kill Alfred i hope when get remake of code veronica Alexia Ashford is not pure Evil

Awesome bro long time no see though
I hated what they have done with them in the Darkside Chronicles. Their bizarre relationship is WAY more complexed and interesting in the OG game imo.
The lullaby scene where Alexia sings to her now dead dear Alfred while she's unleashing all her wrath at Claire and Steve is one of my favorite RE scene. It always give me chills.
I agree I like the madness behind the two not that remake betrayal stuff.
Seems like Alfred wanted more than a sister and brother relationship

Not to mention how she cradled and sang to Alfred's corpse.
I particularly don't care for how they retooled it for Darkside Chronicles.
Very true, the relationship between the two has no bounds. I guess it suits Alfred since he is Insane just like his Sister LOL

[...]
Alexia Ashford watched her twin die at her feet, bleeding and in great pain, reaching out to touch the stasis tank with adoration in his dying eyes. She stroked his hair, dreaming."

7:36 It must have really pissed Alfred off to find out he wasn't planned and just an unintended side effect of Alexander's experiments.
Yes definitely
@@HeYDeVuH Pissed off would be an understatement.
He was probably so very upset/
The most similar thing Wesker had for a friend is William Birkin.
which wesker?
Wesker and Chris ware really close friends before the betraying of wesker this is why it really hurt Chris the most also wesker as much as he hates Chris he genuinely recepact him and you can see something in code veronica that wesker wants Chris's approval because he could've killed him multiple times 😂
Even in resident evil 1 novel wesker seemed to admire Chris
This game is often overlooked because of some of the silly dialogue, but story wise its really quite a disturbing plot, and the Ashford family having such a disturbing background should really be counted with some importance in the overall RE story.
Yeah, I remember early on when the game just came out on how drastically different the tone was. The Ashford Twins gave me the creeps, especially with that Video of them both looking into each others eyes.
so true. They were the creppiest twins and Alexia was quiet insane and demented.
Similar of Buffy the vampire slayer, or Ghostbusters, very deep on mythology, but covered by silly dialogues, lol.
Wesker and Alexia had more in common than they thought.

@@jeremyknight9980 , is the novel canon? I never knew about those novels? That I heard of.
@@jorgebersabe293 that is facinating.
I'd love to see you cover James Marcus as well. I think starting it off with the founding families/members of umbrella is a great way to do it.
Yes it deserves to have a remake

Same
Code Veronica is a very solid sequel that deserved to be “4” great standalone story, music and a memorable villain.
Alexia is my favorite RE antagonist. You should do a video on Mother Miranda
I hope they remake reCV
This game took years to beat...
I hope so as well
T-Veronica is one of the more desirable "Tyrant" viruses.
Awesome man 👍🤗😀, maybe you can do Alex Wesker ? also Albert Wesker ? ... there are so much possibilitis, thanks for these kind of videos love them ❤️✌️
👍🤗
You rock! I remember I asked for this
You're welcome!!!
is there a full version of that Ashford lullaby at that beginning?
Alexia is honeslty my favourite Re Character and CV is my favourite RE game it’s such a shame barely anyone knows it :,)
I think it's really cool that the heroes and villains in this game are both siblings. I'm not sure if it means anything, but I don't think Alexia and Alfred would be as impactful if the story wasn't Claire looking for Chris, and was instead Leon and Jill teamed up for some reason.
Leon was supposed to be in this game
Man I wish she survived and came back as a Wesker 2.0
Yeah just imagined if she was given more time to get used to her new powers
@@HeYDeVuH She woud be an amazing vilian.
Alfred the kind of dude to subscribe to Alexia’s onlyfans
You're probably right LOL
I would to
Awesome series bro
To Alexander, Alexia was a tool and a successful project, not a daughter to be cared for, sacrificing her childhood for his own selfish purposes.
imagine if alexia had the uroboros plus the mold alone with the t virus and the g virus
"Varus" lol. Great video though!
I get strong Cersei Lannister vibes from her. Especially, conserning her relationship with her brother!!!!
Same. And Elizabeth Holmes.
And also for being an unhinged narcissist.
I hope they will remake it. The T Veronica virus have a lot important in Uroboros project. And also important for the creation of the C Virus. Plus in the Javier Mission, the T Veronica is there. It’s one of the most important virus on the Resident Evil franchise ❤
After watching this, im confined. This definitely needs a remake! The game that is
When this first came out for Sega Dreamcast it was absolutely amazing to see compared to the PS1 games!

My favorite villain 💜
Hell yeah
I think the original is what Alfred thought how he died while the wii game dark side chronicles the true death was shown
We need a remake so we can see her at full power in the beautiful RE Engine.
1. Alexia Ashford - best of all RE villains in my opinion
2. Mother Miranda - a great villain with a motive most can somewhat empathize with but equally condemn for the extent of her evil
3. Carla Radames - a victim turned villain set on destroying the real evil by means I don't really understand maybe because RE6's story was executed poorly by packing too much and being choppy?
4. Alex Wesker - one of the worst RE villains ever and easily forgotten
As always good stuff...
I wish with re infinite darkness...
We could if got short telling of villains in the series b4 there stories in the games,...like wesker, ada, hunk
Etc all the way 2 re 8....
I wish Devuh was a daily streamer that would be so cool, I find the videos to be very unique, do you have a patreon?
IDK Why I Wanna See Episodes of Wesker, Birkin, James Marcus,
Morpheus D. Duvall, Sergei Vladimir, Nicolai...
you should do William Brikin vs Alcina Dimitrescu.
Alexander Ashford using Alexia to revive Veronica reminds me of Mother Miranda using Rose to revive Eva.
Hey DeVuh? If you’ve seen RE Infinite Darkness would you be able to explain something to us, would Jason be considered a Tyrant or a Psudeo Tyrant like monster like Ustinak?
Yeah I have and yes that can be a great topic to cover, Thanks for suggesting
8:40 song name?
Suspended doll from Resident Evil Code Veronica
So if Alexia and Alfred would survived they would make babies, since they seems to have someking of a incest love relation?
They definitely have a weird relationship dynamic
@@HeYDeVuH ....and we would have the Resident Evil equivalent of Joffrey Baratheon.
I Agree That This Game Needs A Remake
You have to be pretty scary if you can make Wesker run away.
" oh boy, get ready for the incest!"
- Angriest Pat (Super Best Friends/Pat Stares At)
I like for you do explaining evil on Derek Simmons and Carla Radames
Best video ever keep it up
Alexia and Alfred were what Alexander made them.
Your voice is top notch 🔥🤤🤩
Thank You!!!
@@HeYDeVuH you’re most welcome brother ~
we need a well done unrushed code Veronica x remake with more content
I want the NE-parasite covered if there is enough info
Cover silent hill !
adam arclight from needless anime
It's bad enough Alfred's a simp, but for his sister?! This weirdo really was made in a lab.
@HeY DeVuH What if I told you that the nonexistent face model of Chris in REmake/Code Veronica actually does exist in real life and is waiting to be discovered?
Is she in the new movie?
It was reported that a small clip was shown showing the Ashford Twins but not much beyond that.
how about Shao Kahn? ;D
If he was in RE maybe the umbrella going to be his slave too
@@evilcrashbandicootthetouho2753 Shang Tsung would hv a competition in creating monsters 4 Shao Kahn
Alexia is the most badazz villain in the series.
How come Alexander compete with Spencer when Spencer is the one true founder by being Mirinda’s student.
@@jeremyknight9980 good point
I'd say that bad parenting, and social isolation molded Alexia to be so misanthropic and evil. Probably didn't help that Alexander had messed around with Alexia's genes to increase her intelligence (likely it made her mentally unstable).
The point of her was meant being so pretty looking is nothing to do with being a good person just remembered Charles Darwin was evil and he doesn't have any problem in his body unlike Stephen Hoben was handicapped but he was a good person
I don't think the original Alexia was pure evil but Darkside, yes.
I sense incest intentions coming from Alfred
What game did Alexia kill Alfred in
The Darkside Chronicles. Considering how different Alexia's personality is in that game (plus Alfred dying by her hand), I consider that game to be canonically dubious.
It's the game Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles where it has abridged retellings of RE2 and Code Veronica, the retellings aren't canon.
As wacko as he is I'm an Alfred stan 🤣
Alexia Ashford is not pure Evil she pure good person she is care and loves Alfred as a sister plus 10/10 better Than Willam and Albert Darkside chronicles is fake she won't kill Alfred i hope when get remake of code veronica Alexia Ashford is not pure Evil
tyrant He tried to look for clothes and he never did any Incest act with tyrantia aka his sister but Alexia was so pervert like her femboy brother

@@evilcrashbandicootthetouho2753 Alexia Ashford was inspired by rich manager
