LBP was the main reason why I wanted a playstation 3 when I was younger. Its been 7 years since I first played it. And I grow very fond of it. LBP is one of my favorite games, the characters.. the memories. everything about the game was perfect except its community don't get me wrong the community has tons of creative people. just.. the copied Mortal Kombat and Train Survival Levels get very repetitive
+Fear the D Such as the people who wear hero hair, lion noses and teeth all over their head, and think they are 'stronger' because they have a clothing item in their hand.
+NinelivesBobcat And they do nothing but random stuff in create mod instead of actually playing community levels and/or playing the story mode levels and when they actually do play a level, they fill up the picture menu in said community level with pictures of them posing, regardless of what the level is because they think they're so cool but they're actually really edgy.
Surprised to see you Here But then again you did make Scene Recreations in Little Big Planet from Little Nightmares (ps i love the Bugs and Glitches Series)
I lost all of my progress in lbp 3... yeah I kinda hate it. But at least I got one of the top reviews on one of your levels bigsurf77, I remember your levels being amazing. If I were to play lbp 3 again I bet I would be amazed by your levels.
I love the first two games, but it's such a shame that the series went downhill as soon as MediaMolecule handed the series to another developer. I remember how bustling and creative the fan base was back in the day....
I dont really get the hate for LBP3, I've owned it since launch, still from then I could of created a level in LBP1 or 2 & it'll be playable in LBP3.. ~ = LBP3 is the best version of LBP, sure it had some bugs in stuff but it never really hindered me in any major way in is all fixed now. Oh well, glad MM handed over LBP, I much prefer Dreams its one of the games I've been most hyped for since its first showing at the PS4 announcement. Always hated having to work around models / materials / sackboy's, Dreams is pretty much complete freedom.
astro-nut I remember when I was 6 or 7 playing LBP on a demo and then eventually getting the actual game. Now I'm 16 but I don't have the game anymore :(
I'm playing LittleBigPlanet for 8 years now. It's really an amazing fun game + creating mode and sharing your levels with the community is the reason why i spent there a tons of time.
Yes, This is Tig You do still get shark attacks and the odd bomb survival level, but it's definitely not as bad as it used to be. The creators in LBP 3 seem to have much more unique ideas, but that's probably because they're not stuck to just 3 layers anymore.
i find the bit about game slowdown with the "freezeatron" rather fascinating, as i'm beginning to believe the ps3 console must have an issue handing such a property. the port of Ratchet Deadlocked/Gladiator, also suffered performance slowdown issues when too many gun effects were simultaneously happening, but the FREEZE MOD for the weapons would ALWAYS not only slowdown the target, but the entirety of the gameplay. split screen in deadlocked ps3 is literally unplayable if you use gun mods and that will forever piss me off (i know this part isnt really relevant here lol)
Man, I really liked 1 and 2. 3's story felt...underwhelming, like they didn't try as hard. Like, the Negativitron in 2 being a monster formed from the negative feelings of the world's creators was a lot deeper than I ever expected LBP to ever get. 3 was, what? Misguided guy releases some monsters and get possessed.
LBP3 is super underrated. Most bugs have been fixed now and I'd say Sumo Digital did a great job expanding the series. Feels like people just wanted a scapegoat to attack LBP3 even though MM got a LOT of slack for all the bugs in 1 and 2. I love this series and really wish 3 got fairer treatment.
LiquidxFire I'll admit that the online multiplayer is still not up to snuff (though that's another aspect that was pretty bad in previous games too), but most of the other glitches have been fixed and improved. Profile corruption isn't rampant like it was at launch and in general it's more stable. I wouldn't say it's perfect, but LBP2 was riddled with bugs as well. If those were tolerable, LBP3 should be fine. The create mode is a blast, that's for sure.
I've played create mode for a few hours in the recent days, and there still is a lot of bugs that were there since the beginning... Not to mention I still cannot get all the prize bubbles from story levels because of a glitch that hasn't been fixed since the game came out.
I remember getting LBP 3 and not realizing what was bugging me about it, i had gotten older of course, but still i felt something wass missing. And then it hit me, it was the multiplayer. I met so many people on lbp through the Dive In feature which was not brought back in 3, which kinda sucked and made the game feel a tad isolating on top of that. Also I could never connect to friends or anyone 90% of the time which was frustrating. I havent played in awhile but does anyone know if they brought back dive in?
Everybody is complaining about the bugs, but honestly all that aside i thought the story levels in LBP3 were very weak. nothing memorable like the first two games, it might be my nostalgia talking. but when i was playing those levels there was just something missing. I also didn't care very much about the characters.
Nydeh fr it is so bad now, it made me almost cry playing part 3 because i was expecting it to be so good but it was awful. the community stopped caring and the online is so broken and laggy
I absolutely loved LBP when I was a kid. Crazy to know it's almost 9 years old. I remember getting it Christmas 2008. It has almost infinite replay-ability with all of the community's creative minds fused together. More games need to build off of the foundation LBP built. I will thank Media Molecule until the end of time for the memories they gave me.
this game means so much to me it’s insane. i started playing it when i was 8 and now i’m 19. so much nostalgia, i always cry listening to the ost lol lbp2 was my favorite 👌 i made so many friends on there and made hella cool levels and actually got a lot of views on one 😎
I swear these games never felt bound by human greed. They felt they were made with genuine care for other people and it never felt like buying DLC was a bad thing. I miss these games, they are like a lost superior technology that was forgotten in modern times.
Man, I don't think I remember being more excited for a game to come out than this one! Being a kid at the time I couldn't see anything cooler than being able to create your own levels in a videogame!
I remember when Little Big Planet came out. Same year Fallout 3 was released, Oblivion was still fairly new, AND it was the year Wrath of the Lich King came out for World of Warcraft. Man, 2008 was a hell of a year for gaming.
lil m&m I played it. You had to have Windows 8 at the time since it was Microsoft Store exclusive but since nobody wanted to move over to Windows 8 thus why it failed
The nostalgia when I hear any song from the 2 games (not three of course) hits me really hard. I spent easily over 2000 hours playing this game growing up. I would stay in my pod starring at my screen. I beat the story modes at least 30 times each. I played over 6000 levels. I loved these games. I loved playing with my friends. I loved making planets. Every time I got on I had a smile on my face. Thank you very much Sony for helping LBP be what it was.
No he is wrong, the Qur'an is not a book to use in games or music, it's sacred and not a joke. We Muslims take our religion very seriously, thats why Islam is the largest growing religion in the world, because of its teachings and practices.
Little Big Planet 1 and 2 will go down in history as instant classics of their time and hopefully forever. Never before have I seen such a creative and amazing gaming community like that one. Glad you guys finally covered one of my favorite games :)
Hands down best and most memorable gaming experience for me was playing LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2, in particular LBP 1. I remember being excited coming home from school to get on lbp. Most fun i have ever had gaming in my life!
Does anyone remember that one secret community club where you had to defeat a boss in order to get a sticker? No? Just me? Okay :( I recall it starting with the letter S
Ah, the memories of playing this with my little sister when it first came out for years. Never really played the second version or third version, but this game is a CLASSIC. I get to play it sometimes while babysitting now and I swear that just the music brings back memories of playing it constantly and teaching my mom's daycare kids about it!
Update: Having Sony own your IP is the quickest way for it to die within a decade OR having it being bastardized from what the fans originally loved into a reskinned The Last of Us (andeventhoughthenewE3trailerlookedbetterthanthelastoneit'sclearlyobviousthedirectionthingshavebeengoingwiththiscompanysothankGodfordevslikeAtlusgivngusexactlywhatmostofuswanteverytime)
KingBoro it's better having no game on any platform than at least the game on one platform? I'd buy a console that self destructs after ten hours of use if it exclusively had the new Legend of Dragoon.
its better in my opinion to be on playstation or PC than on Xbox. not saying Xbox is horrible but its library is pretty bad as they just keep pumping the same game i.e. halo. kinda like nintendo. where did i say it is better to have not existed?
-Sackboy was also playable in Ragdoll Kung-Fu -A lot of the unused content was reworked in LBP2 -A Parappa the Rapper costume can be seen in Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale
LBP1 - Classic, but The Bunker was impossible to ace. LBP Portable - Never played it. LBP2 - Awesome. Boss Mob was a legend. LBP Vita - Favourite of them all. Love the darker tone. LBP Karting - Alright, but your better off with Modnation Racers LBP3 - Eh. Not a big fan of the over advanced create mode (16 layers COMBINED with millions of gadgets and logic chips?) but the story was decent.
Nayuki yep. If Media created the game, it probably would have beaten LBP2 for most. It's just all of the game bugs and other crap that made it disappointing. Still good though.
God, the nostalgia from the first game's footage is getting to me. I remember it was the first PS3 game I had, I played it for so long when I was little
Why can't they just remaster or port little big planet 2 to ps4? Little Big Planet 3 ruined the franchise dlc not working, Buggy Online, No creative levels..
Oh my God I'm almost crying. LBP1 and 2 are the games I have the most fond memories playing with friends by FAR. Pretty sure I made 90% of my PSN friends list on LBP1. I want a time machine more than ever now... :'( I miss the old days...
I remember sneaking over to the PS3 at my dad's house as early as 4am to play the 2ndgame. I had no creativity and was perfectly content with having a blank cardboard pod, a cardboard earth, and a cardboard moon. And although the game was almost littered with bomb survivals, there were a few that stick out like bomb survival with powerups. I didn't get to experience the first game until almost 3 years after I played the second, but it was still fun Nowadays, there's still a community, but it's just not as large as it used to be. Everyone seems to have gone over to PS4 with LBP3 or on the PS3 or just ditched the series entirely. As long as there's still people playing, LittleBigPlanet will always be one of the best games in my collection. I've had the game since I was about 11. 5 years later, I still play it. Just yesterday I played Angry Whale Survival with my cousin and it reminds me just how much charm this game has.
RIGHT after watching this video I discovered ANOTHER unused texture! (I uploaded it to TCRF, and that texture is an icon for that score board thing in tutorials)
Ahhh LBP, what a gem. There will never be a game with as much charm and personality as you, just look at the opening scene and you know you are in for a creative masterpiece.
Used to play these games from when I was 7 - 13 ish years old! I'm 16 now and although I recently cut ties with them, I met someone back in 2011 on LBP2 who was my friend for the past 6 years! I was part of a large group of friends on the games, it's funny looking back at it now, but I miss all the petty drama we all made over things in the games...
God, I hope the new developers come up with a miraculous way to revive this franchise. This franchise is half of my childhood, literally, and continues to be through LBP3, despite the apparent bugs that I haven't really encountered yet. It's almost been a decade since I first picked up the controller to play this game. PLEASE don't let this franchise die.
i love how i almost never learn anything about my favourite games from this series because all the facts are easy to find with 10 to 15 mins of searching around on google
Little big planet was always a series I wanted to try at some stage but just never did, and probably never will at this point. Way to many games I need to play this point lol
Wanna come over to my place? We have videos 3 times a week.
DidYouKnowGaming? 2 I'm on my way
only if you give me a switch
Can we go on a few dates first before that kind of commitment?

Nice to see LittleBigPlanet being remembered
King Koleyolis III Yes.
same (;
Still being remembered
YESS
When u still play it do this day
Littlebigplanet 1 & 2 were the best👍🏼
Surprised to see you Here
But then again you did make Scene Recreations in Little Big Planet from Little Nightmares
(ps i love the Bugs and Glitches Series)
bigsurf77 Agreed! Karting was alright but 3 didn't hit the mark.

lmao what up bigsurf. fan of the levels
for sure! I poured countless hours into those games..
Most dlc I've spent within a series
Aprax IKR!
Think ive spent around £80
i spent hundreds i had like all of them except a few lol
@@AlexYT20202 Haha, I've spent probably a few 200 USD on this game.
PhoenixBird99 do you still play it?
Glad you guys finally did an official video for this great series ;)
GlitchMaster7 Upset they didn't get you to do this vid.
they shouldve had you do it, you basically went over most of this stuff in your video lol
hi there
Well hello.

MM is creating a new game called dreams.
Sans The Skeleton Is Dreams part of the LBP series? I heard MM stopped working on LBP, so.
the fucking copied levels and scene/emo kids were cancer
Citrus Blast Lmao, those were so bad. HRT4RHRT RAWR XD
The first LBP was amazing. Brings back memories.
+astro-nut yeah
WAS being the keyword when 2 made the first game just inferior in every way you look at it
astro-nut I remember when I was 6 or 7 playing LBP on a demo and then eventually getting the actual game. Now I'm 16 but I don't have the game anymore :(
I get the impression you didn't play the second one because LBP2 was way better.
astro-nut Same man
Did you know this series has over 2000$ in DLC?
Mike Berg and im guilty from buying so many
Dear lord cod dont have nothing on little big plant
how much dlc worth was with mass effect 3 at launch? i remember it being a ridiculous number like $200 or something
the DLC is actually worth buying
LBPPlayer7 SOME is. Most of them aren't in my opinion
Lots of awesome facts in there, great job!
Zebra Gamer Hey I'm the only one here who saw you.
Yoooo
Big fan of your work bro
I'm playing LittleBigPlanet for 8 years now. It's really an amazing fun game + creating mode and sharing your levels with the community is the reason why i spent there a tons of time.
HAHAHAHA
Can you even imagine what a full 3D Little Big Planet game would be like?
I can. Media Molecule made a 3D game called Tearaway for the PS4. It essentially is 3D LBP with papercraft instead of cloth.
MM's new game Dreams is exactly that.
Oh yeah Dreams. If it ever comes out that is. Was announced in 2013 and hasn't been seen since. I really hope they're still working on that one.
Dude that'd be really cool
Whispering Snowman You can't make levels on Tearaway though.
Fuck I miss the first game
James18151 monetary gain caused the game to be born and to also die with the ps3. imagine if it was on pc?
squidman6000 you know there is a sequel on PS4
i do now but im still right. it would have been way more successful if it had not been locked to a particular console.
LBP3 was shit. i hate it but love every other one.
James18151 2 was the best IMO. 3 couldn't fill the shoes of its predecessor.
If you ever step on my patch, i'll bring you down, bring you down..
I always thought it was "watch" instead of "patch". Well, I learned something today.
*too much nostalgia...*
anyone remembers watching glitchmaster's version?
Same, no-one else seems to remember though
I did
I did.
I remember watching it! It was ok
It is. It seems most of this is just a ctrl+v of his video
I've been waiting so long for this. There were only fan made ones.
DirectorHector I mean the fanmade ones pretty much addressed everything mentioned in the video.
OMG HI TEATREES AAA I LOVE YOUR CONTENT
Steven TCGO
OH HELLO TEATREES FANCY SEEING YOU HERE
Same I waited 3 years
Little Big Planet and especially Little Big Planet 2 were masterpieces. The memories my brother and I had... I hope I'll remember them forever.
I spent hundreds of hours on this game. Even more on LBP 2. I still play LBP 3.
Yes, This is Tig
You do still get shark attacks and the odd bomb survival level, but it's definitely not as bad as it used to be. The creators in LBP 3 seem to have much more unique ideas, but that's probably because they're not stuck to just 3 layers anymore.
Hundreds of hours and Hundreds of dollars...
No shame.
Neiljackandjimmy The games died for me after lbp3 came out, Everyone I knew on Them left along with me and I lost contact with them

Why can't they just remaster or port little big planet 2 to ps4? Little Big Planet 3 ruined the franchise dlc not working, Buggy Online, No creative levels..
Yeah, when it released. Idk if you've checked, since its been years since release, but it works pretty darn well.
unless you actually try to play mulitplayer online
Oh my God I'm almost crying. LBP1 and 2 are the games I have the most fond memories playing with friends by FAR. Pretty sure I made 90% of my PSN friends list on LBP1. I want a time machine more than ever now... :'( I miss the old days...
Littlebigplanet one and two where my life. Littlebigplanet 3 is trash.
No more trash then the last 2
IT HURTS TI HEAR THESE SOUNDTRACJS AGAIN IM CRYING THE NOSTALGIAAA
"displeased muslim group" is a bit redundant
Yes! We don't joke with our religion
LittleBigPlanet was my childhood.
1:16 Mr.Yellow Head? 😂
Such a great game. My sister and I played LBP 1&2 together, and we played it a ton. I'll never forget the fond memories I made within the LBP world
I remember there being a fanmade DYKG episode for this a while back. It's definitely worth checking out.
I didn't get to experience the first game until almost 3 years after I played the second, but it was still fun
Nowadays, there's still a community, but it's just not as large as it used to be.
After seeing that fan-made version in my searches for ages, nice to see this one being done.
Crazy to think it'll be 10 years since it was released next year. So many fun memories.
Bro this game is so nostalgic, i remember buying this in 2009 and having a blast
God, I hope the new developers come up with a miraculous way to revive this franchise. This franchise is half of my childhood, literally, and continues to be through LBP3, despite the apparent bugs that I haven't really encountered yet. It's almost been a decade since I first picked up the controller to play this game. PLEASE don't let this franchise die.
that music made me cry, so many memories.
i love how i almost never learn anything about my favourite games from this series because all the facts are easy to find with 10 to 15 mins of searching around on google
The original Track of Tasha Niang Is still in my game cause I refused to take it back
One of the best PS3 exclusives of all time, in my opinion. Had a lot of good memories with this game, community levels were the best.
1:35 we all know why that last one was removed...IT HAS A WEINER WHAT THE HELL
The nostalgia:Played first 2 games and karting, still love it :)
Awesome...any way to find out if we have the original release of the game? without reinstalling without updates?
I remember staying up all night playing LBP2. Gosh, I miss these games so bad.
This and wii sports were my childhood. :')
You finally covered LBP, I'm so happy!
Man this brings me back

I have so many memories of this game.
Little big planet was always a series I wanted to try at some stage but just never did, and probably never will at this point. Way to many games I need to play this point lol
LBP is my childhood!
Also do the whole Tenchu series!
This video is just nostalgia to me, I LOVE THESE GAMES

My childhood! This game will never be forgotten by me!
