That was an interesting video. Thank you. I am old so I enjoy seeing wood and blued steel. You made a very good argument for the tactical lever gun, however. I guess the answer is to have one of both!
Mal Reynolds approves of this rifle . 😉 I've got a 16" stainless Rossi 92 in .45 Colt that's still mostly in it's stock configuration. Other than possibly mounting a red dot sight or a small prismatic, I don't anticipate modifying it a great deal. The additional mounting points this handguard provides isn't something I need, but I can certainly see the utility of it. Nice review!
Nicely done! Love the setup. To me this is one of the coolest looking and fun shooting guns one can have. Right on with the utility this thing offers and spot on with your suggested price point. Just installed with ease their longer hand guard and I too had the same issue with subtle movement. Thought this was just something on my end so hearing this makes me feel better. Now this thing looks dangerous. Hey Ranger Point Precision, keep up the good work and hook this guy up!
Great video 👍 Very nice build I have a Henry oversized loop 20inch barreled side feed .357 magnum 10 round capacity all wood furniture. I'm a big Lever gun and revolver guy I do like modern striker fire polymer frame guns my heart still likes hammer guns can't beat a classic design.
I just snatched up a 16” model in .357. I may add that hand guard if they make one for it. I will definitely get the rail for an optic! I’m a bit leary as the last Rossi 357 was way to picked with ammo, especially reloads.
Nice video, thanks buddy Here in my country, France, this handguard cost 260€ (above 300 box) and I will buy it anyway 😭 You have much better prices in the US than in Europ for sure
Sorry to hear that but Im sure you will like the handguard. Just wondering I have heard of some riots in France lately but I dont trust the US Media. How are things there?
Hello my dear, indeed I bought it, at $300, but indeed it is sublime. only small problem I have a little bit of play, only if there are a few allen screws that hold the handguard, that seems insufficient to me, sincerely I can't find a solution for the moment. oh as for the riots in france and especially in paris, imagine that it's true. it's too localized, so these are places in paris where I don't go. but the police seem more and more tired, it's worrying. that said the riots do not take place everywhere, I do not fear for my safety. By the way we have a house at country, much better to shoot in peace 🤩 How it is in you country of Arkansas ? Can you buy an automatic weapon if if weapon was built before 1986 is not it?
Thanks for the review! I want to buy their new Costa-handguard for my Rossi, and considering the slight wiggle you noticed might then impact the optics, would you advise against the Costa system?
Im not sure. The Costa rail and handguard are different from my understanding so it might be a different fit. Shoot RPP a link to this video and ask them if there would be a wiggle with the Costa like the one in this video.
Got the same build on my 16 inch 44 mag. After shooting it, I noticed that the HANDgaurd is sliding out of the slot into the receiver. Any advice to help secure it?
@@arkansasoutdoorschannel1867 still the same issues. Going to try and make a new steel clamp around the barrel and screw it down onto the rail while also applying another set screw on the top
Yeah I really like the handguard and the functions it adds but I think its over priced for what you get. It should be about 100 bucks out the door if you ask me.
Movement in the handguard is a con. Don't get me wrong it looks great. But! it should not do that, but since it does, I recommend you put some shims in the Handguard at all the screws contact points. It should be an easy fix.
I have a stainless steel Rossi in .45 colt, 20" octagon barrel. I don't really like this set up. It's not attractive or anything I'd do to mine. It's old school cowboy gun, not a tactical rifle. But to each his own. Maybe some people like it but not me.
@leon while I appreciate the appreciation of the old west I have to say that the tactical set up on this gun is pretty stellar. It offers so much versatility.
That was an interesting video. Thank you. I am old so I enjoy seeing wood and blued steel. You made a very good argument for the tactical lever gun, however. I guess the answer is to have one of both!
I say do it if you can afford it.

Thanks and Browncoats for life.
Awesome upgrade to any lever gun, I have this same setup on my Marlin 45-70 including the Hoptic quiver and the weapon light with pressure pad
I bet she looks awesome

Awesome Bo 😎! Great job! ❤️
Thank you 🤗

I have heard the older ones had more issues than the newer. Im hoping they have it fixed now.

Thanks for sharing. It looks great.
Your video could have been sub 15 minutes and still contained all the same info 😉
Yeah sometimes I talk too much. But I kind of enjoy the longer videos too.

Double check the lock down screws on the sides. If those are not tight it can walk.

What do you do with a 44 magnum caliber rifle? The range of the caliber drops off severely in a very short distance by experience.
Hunt, self defense, plink and have fun with it. In my area of the Ozarks you cant really see past 100yds most of the time.
For $170, I'd want that handguard to be rock solid. I understand that it could also be because it's a Brazilian gun, but yikes.

Does the wiggle affect your accuracy?
Not that I can tell. It really is very minor I just wanted to point out everything good and bad I found with it.
Your sling is on backwards
Replace the screw with a roll pin
That might work if you could find the right size pin
@@arkansasoutdoorschannel1867 homedepot hardware dept typically has a selection of sizes
The wiggle is very disappointing.
I agree.
