    Love seeing a video that focuses on the ingredients and the process rather than watching somebody talking for 10 minutes

    I love your videos because you don't do the excessive chatter that many youtube recipe vids do. lol sometimes I get so distracted by what they are saying I have to rewind the video a bunch of times.

    I made this and it was delicious. The frosting had a little trouble bc I don't have the actual tools. I just have my inexperienced hands. HOWEVER, everything was delicious. This recipe is 💯 My family loved it. 💕
    Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful delicious piece of edible art. Definitely will be doing this AGAIN!

    I made this recipe just now; I only used sunflower oil, coconut milk, and natural red food color powder in my recipe.
    I can’t wait to eat it!

    Newly vegetarian - on my way to vegan. I have been gradually cutting things out as I go and wanted to make my favorite cake for my birthday, this looks like a really good option so far.

    This recipe was really good but might have to bake it for abit longer cause I found that mine was too soft and it broke and I had to reconstruct it and it ended up becoming dense cause of that

    hi, i made this tonight for a birthday party. the batter looked red, kind of a pale but red enough looking to use (it wasnt like pastel or so), and when it came out the oven it was light brownish not red :/ , it also didnt quite rise all so well. the batter tasted great though! Any suggestions?

      You definitely can't taste them, all you taste is the most delicious cake! However, if you prefer to switch these out for another oil or plant-based milk, you can.

    looks like another recipe that we will have to try. loving your recipes! where did you get the red food dye?

    • @LovingItVegan
      @LovingItVegan  6 років тому +3

      Thanks Reece! The red dye we used for this was a brand called Foster Clark's which they confirmed to me is definitely vegan. However, if you can't get that one then any red food dye that says it's for use in baking should work great, the non-vegan ingredient to look out for is carmine/cochineal. :)

    Can I just use Lemon juice? Or does it have to be freshly squeezed

    • @LovingItVegan
      @LovingItVegan  6 років тому

      I've only used freshly squeezed, but I guess any version of lemon juice should work out the same. Not 100% sure though!

    • @LovingItVegan
      @LovingItVegan  8 років тому

      I've never tried to make frosting with zero vegan butter before, you can experiment but I have no idea how it would turn out.

    There’s no need of egg replacer or flaxseed?

    • @LovingItVegan
      @LovingItVegan  6 років тому

      No, it works great without! I sometimes use flax eggs in my cakes but not always and they work out great!
