You’re welcome . That’s what I thought. It’s just a big beach town and of course the Cathedral. Have fun on WOS. It’s an awesome ship. I still have videos to upload on our Marseille and Barcelona cruise ports. We had a great time overall.
Thank you so much! You videos help a lot! We are going in June, I have already booked the Sorrento excursion😊 just wondering if the disembarkation smooth? We are planning to join a local shore excursion for Pisa and Florence, the pick up time is 7:45am. The cruise schedules to dock at 6:30, do u think it will work? Cos I am afraid the cruise will give priority to those who join its excursion….. thanks a ton!
Hello, it is not a tender port so whoever gets in line to disembark will get off accordingly. I would get in line very early. That is my general knowledge with Royal. As to specific smoothness of the disembarkation process in La Spezia port, I think it is. As you see in the video, shuttle buses were already lining up for us. Don’t know where you all are meeting up for your excursion but if you need to take the free shuttle to the terminal it should not be a problem. We didn’t get off until almost 9am. I hope your excursion includes taking a train to Florence and Pisa. I hate to think that if you all will be transported in a bus you will hit traffic and will miss the ship. That always scares me. Sorry I don’t mean to scare you. Otherwise have fun on your trip.
That’s pretty expensive if you ask me. The Cathedral is right across where the shuttle drop off is. You can purchase the ticket to the Cathedral ahead of time. I saw some taxi cabs. You can explore the city more if you want. I also saw many people walking to the beach. For me, it’s just another touristy place . Not familiar with the cave but I’m pretty sure you’ll spend way less than the guided tour though generally speaking we tourists learn more from them than being on our own. Have fun on your cruise. What ship are you going on?
You’re welcome. No I didn’t go up the Cathedral as I had to stay behind with my mother in law who couldn’t walk up the Cathedral. Sorry. Have fun though. I suggest you go online and pre purchase/ book your visit. Generally, that’s always a good idea.
They sell the tickets at the cruise terminal where everyone pass through after disembarking from the ship. That’s where we bought the tickets. The shuttle is waiting right outside the building. You’ll see it in the very first part of this video.
Thanks so much for sharing! Do you think I need a tour guide while there? Got a quote for 480€, 2 adults/2 Kids roundtrip port transportation, drach cave, cathedral and city tour. Seems like a steep price
Mmm good question but what I’m sure of is, it took about 12 minutes from the cruise terminal (which as you can see in this video is very near the ship) to the drop off area near the Cathedral. I guess it also depends on which part of the city you’re heading . Hope that answers your question.
The 10 euros is for 2 tickets round trip. One ticket to ride the shuttle from the ship to the city center and another ticket to ride from the city center going back to the ship. Does that answer your question? Let me know if you have more questions.
You’re welcome .

Thank you for the video! We are cruising August 28th on WOS! Doesn't look like much to do at port in Palma
Thanks for sharing! I just wonder if you remember for all the port of call, do you need to bring photo ID or passport with you?
No need for any of that but generally speaking I would bring a Photo ID and at least a copy or take a picture of your passport just in case.

What ship are you going on?
Thanks for sharing . We will be there in 3 weeks. Did u visit the cathedral? If so, was it busy? Did u purchase the tickets in advance?
You’re welcome. No I didn’t go up the Cathedral as I had to stay behind with my mother in law who couldn’t walk up the Cathedral. Sorry. Have fun though.

@@Breakawaywithnoreen Thank you for your advice!
Have fun on your cruise.
Sorry also meant to ask, did you pre-book your shuttle ticket through the cruise company or pay when you got there?

Nice video, how often do the shuttles run back and forth ?
I believe it is continuous all day . I noted in this video the time of the last trip back to the ship.
Thanks so much for sharing! Do you think I need a tour guide while there? Got a quote for 480€, 2 adults/2 Kids roundtrip port transportation, drach cave, cathedral and city tour. Seems like a steep price
Please read my response in the general comment section. I meant to write it here.
Do they have any shuttle service for disabled people that would accommodate a mobility scooter or motorized wheelchair?
I did not notice any shuttle for a motorized wheelchair. I suggest a foldable wheelchair. My mother in law used one in Sorrento and Marseille .
Do you know how long it would take to walk to the city centre from the port?
Mmm good question but what I’m sure of is, it took about 12 minutes from the cruise terminal (which as you can see in this video is very near the ship) to the drop off area near the Cathedral.

With that ticket, Cant going down and pick another for go back to the Ship?

Thanks for the video. 10 Euro is a fair price. Is it free for 1 year old infants?
I’m pretty sure they won’t charge a toddler. Have fun on your vacation.
@@Breakawaywithnoreen thank you.
