Today was #Carfreitag 2021 (or Carfriday / Karfreitag), unlike previous years, spectators were not allowed at the entire track because of covid.
However everyone was still allowed to drive the track!

This video is amazing because it shows clearly how the body roll and the weight can affect the car dynamically. Cars like that grey Mx5 and the Caterham look like they don't weigh at all, while that Audi and Mercedes were struggling with a much slower cornering speed. Take note guys, weight > horsepower

There’s nothing better than watching someone really driving at the limit of a car’s capability. Whether it’s a fast car or a regular runabout, you can’t mistake at-the-limit driving and it’s awesome.

What I like with the not-crash compilations is that we see a greater diversity of cars and also more supercars and expensive cars. In the crash compilation, it was moslty about cheap BMWs and Golf crashing into the fence

Awesome to see a Crown Vic on the Nürburgring! I remember unexpectedly spotting a grey one (ex-police car!) when I was with my mum in Eisenstadt (near and south of Vienna), Austria a few years ago. It was sitting in a parking lot, and to the right of it was a black BMW M6 E63.

My guess is that the brake caliper was sticking. Its definitely a fire waiting to happen 😬
@@ImTheJoker4u Yup! The same thing happened to my rear right caliper. The V40/S40/Mitsubishi Charisma platform seems to have real problems with sticking calipers. Probably because nobody ever changes their brake fluid rather than any inherent issues lol

Actually its the pins that the calipers slide on that seize. Its why the man at the parts store always tries to sell you brake lube with your new set of pads😉
Most backyard (and/or inexperienced) wrenches swap the pads and call it a day, WITHOUT properly cleaning and lubricating all of the moving parts, the results of which are seen in glowing red hot brake disks😳
@@ImTheJoker4u That's probably part of it, but the actual cylinder in mine was frozen in place, and new calipers are *cheap* for these cars. I'm not saying you're wrong about the front ones, but the rears really do seize

Mistakes are cool to watch too. It’s not the tracks fault. It’s the driver. Wish you could show us crashes again. That made it so much more real. Again not the tracks fault at all
They can show crashes just not crash compilations. Because crash compilations made the ring look like there whete crashes every day wich their isnt
