Very informative video Eric! As I recall, when I purchased my combo DeWalt hand held router, way back when, it came with the dust collection unit as well. DeWalt makes some great products IMO....👍😉
This question is a little off topic, but what do you use for hearing protection and why? I need to upgrade mine and not sure of the best way to go. Thanks!
I use earmuffs that are rated NRR25 (Noise Reduction Rating in decibels). You can get protection that goes all the way up to NRR33, depending on how much machine work you plan on doing.

I don't have any finish on mine. I've heard that MDF and polyurethane are not a good combination because the MDF becomes more combustible. I have heard that shellac is a better choice or a primer and paint.
