by the way, USD 1,550 for a regular dude is exagerated... that is approximately the average salary of France, Italy, Spain.... the affordable life in Minsk that you describe (2 bedroom apartment, metro, etc.) costs less than this... you say that you only spend around usd 1,000.. that would be more accurate for the lifestyle that you show. Famous Irish youtuber living in Minsk said he spends around usd 900 / month, living an average dude life, similar to yours (not supercheap but no luxury at all, not even a car).
The avererage guy doen't spend money in luxury restaurants or escorts or very expensive food... also 400 usd in food is very exaggerated.... I spend 200 usd month in a good quality supermarket in France, including meat and fish and I am not small, I'm 1,80....and I am an engineer, not poor at all... and the final USD 300 + 100+ 200 for clothes, entertainment, etc.. average dudes don't spend such money in such things even in France or USA... do you see a lot of people wearing designer clothes or even minimally nice clothes around you when you go back to Australia? :) Most people dress like shit nowadays, even doctors and engineers....they spend practically USD 0 every month on this.. maybe USD 100 PER YEAR (that is a pair of cheap sneakers + a chaep t-shirt + cheap jeans.. all of them last for some years).

Most of the belarusians live even beyond "Ultra cheap"). Just in Minsk living a bit better than in other parts of Belarus. For ordinary man it's better to earn money abroad (or IT - just export service) and spent them in Minsk. Spending 4000+💰 man would feel himself a king (without buying some luxury stuffs - jewelry or cars and real estate...)

I am from Belarus, from Vitebsk. I don't understand what you can spend $500 per month on? With the exception of renting an apartment of more than 2 rooms, frequent visits to restaurants, heating a small cottage in winter.

Good question. I got the ultra cheap down to $300 with the $500 version allowing theatre and movie visits, regular coffees out and higher quality food at home. It also includes phone and laptop replacement, trips to a dentist, clothes etc. This is also for Minsk

@@AustralianInBelarus In Vitebsk, rental housing, cafes, restaurants, services are cheaper. I have rent subsidies. For a two-room apartment of 41 squares, internet, 2 phones, I pay $34.
What I mean is to tell foreigners that for $ 300, you will eat. Many of my friends live on a pension of less than $167 and do not lose weight.

@@ingemarsmit4840 2 room apartment (I suppose you mean 1 bedroom apartment) in the west is considered a very poor life. These african immigrants who arrive half dead on the beaches in spain and italy get immediately a free life in Europe, with everything paid, including 2 - 3 bedroom apartments for families or 1 guy per bedroom (RENOVATED.. by law they have to give them only renovated apartments)... so, for a western guy, to rent a 1 bedroom apartment, in Belarus or wherever, is considered a poor life, because that is the life on an extremely poor African immigrant in the West....I have a 150 m2 house in France, and I am far from being rich and I didn't inherit the house, I paid it from 0. I am a middle class person in my 40s, working 40 hours week, normal, not hard.
The same with cars... a person who doens't have at least a brand new 20,000 eur car in the west is considered poor..... A 20,000 eur brand new car, for example a brand new Golf, is the car of a middle-low class person.
The prices that you say of your city Vitebsk are unbelievable, but it would be necessary to see exactly what such a life looks like (the apartment, food, etc.), becasue tourists who spend short times in Minsk have to spend MUCH MORE than what he writes on the list....It is impossible to find 300 usd / month apartments in Minsk ,even 2 bodroom, on airbnb or similar places..
If I could live in some nice Russian or Belarrusian city for EUR 500 / month, including at least 2 bedroom, 60 m2, RENOVATED PENTHOUSE + UTILITY BILLS + QUALITY FOOD in the supermarket, I would probably move ther inmmediately because I work online, as an engineer, and with the rest of my salary I could live like a king surrounded by beautiful women all day long... so if you are interested, contact me to explain to me exactly these prices of your city and maybe I will hire you as a guide or advisor to visit your city, becasue I am planning to visit Belarus in the near future..

Very educating post! I'm an Australian guy from Melbourne, planning to visit Belarus next year. You mentioned the student visa from technical university costs 100 per month, could you please recommend some cheap technical universities? And I assume the 100 per month includes tuition at the university?

90 % of men who live temporarily or permanently in countries like Russia or Belarus (cold, complicated (visa, language, etc), not especially beautiful countries) is because these countries have the most beautiful women in the world, so you "forgot" to add the price of women to your list.
As everybody can see on your videos and other random videos shot in the streets of these countries, there are many beautiful women, but practically all these women walk next to young handsome guys... and 90 % of western men who move to these countries are not young and handsome... so obviously, to enjoy the beautiful women, they have to pay for escort services, which would be the most expensive thing on your list..... Of course, cheap guys cannot afford to pay the usual USD 100 / hour.... normal dudes will probably spend USD 600- 800 /month in escorts and guys with money can spend an unlimited amount of money per month in escorts...
Everybody who has used Russian dating sites, travelled to these countries, etc. knows that finding a young beautiful girlfriend there, unless you are young and handsome, is as difficult as finding it in the west... I would say almost impossible. But for young handsome guys yes, then Russia / Belarus are paradise with lots of beauties to enjoy for free.
