Lupin Sansei: Pandora no Isan (ルパン三世 パンドラの遺産) is an action game, developed by TOSE and published by Namco, which was released in Japan in 1987. It is based on an animation called Lupin Sansei that is well-known in Japan. The main character of the series is a well-meaning thief named Arsene Lupin III ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lupin_III ), based on a comic by Maurice Leblanc in the early 1900s.
Lupin's friend Clarisse was kidnapped, and Lupin Sansei (ルパン三世) decided to rescue her. His companions Daisuke Jigen (次元 大介) and Goemon Ishikawa XIII (十三代目 石川 五ェ門) both wanted to help him. So they went to the villa, Chinatown, dock warehouse and pyramid to beat patron saints. Along the way, they dodge some enemies and solve some puzzles.

I have been looking for this game for ages. Played as a kid and couldn't remember the name...
25+/- years ago i couldnt finish this game.. and now he speed runs in 10 mins.. eeaaa

Someone please tell me why TAS press beat button in rhythm of the game song on the level with pyramids and desert?
I didn't understand the final stage at all...

I don't understand why you need to die in the last stage. Wouldn't it be faster to just use Lupin from the beginning and go straight to the end?
I also noticed that. probably those one who made that vid didn't know that only Lupin can swim. but I also think that it is easier to use Goemon on desert level. there are "gossips" that English title should be "Lupin the Third: Pandora's Legacy. And Lupin's full name is Arsene Lupin III, and he is grandson of legendary Arsene Lupin.
By the way: If Goemon is 13th, so his family reach history from about... 18th century?! About 260 years, woah.
You can find the English patch here www.romhacking.net/translations/773/ . You need the original rom and know how to apply a ips patch. There's no footage since, as far as I know, there is no emulator that can actually play the patched rom correctly. Also, there are few people who are skilled enough to actually play this game. Since watching this video I learned to speed run this game (I'm only the second person) and I now understand why he dies in chapter 4. Doing so skips over large rooms that require items that you would otherwise have to pick up, so it's much faster to get captured at least twice. I use Goemon for the car ride because I use Jigen for the boss. Goemon Ishikawa (the first) is a character from Japanese folklore (similar to Robin Hood). Goemon is the 13th so that the times make sense.
