Hi from up over (Spain) the forward lanyard hole is for secure the knife to a wooden shaft and make a spear, also to make sort of a string handle between the two holes to secure the knife to the hand as an alternative to the traditional lanyard use. This two holes come from an old knife model designed for the spanish army sop forces back in the 80's named after it's designer surname, as the Villegas knife, or more commonly named guerrillero knife. This knife was made by several spanish knife brands Cudeman, Halcon-Exposito, Celaya, Crowning and others. Most of this companies no longer exist. Cudeman has made several versions of the Guerrillero knife, one of the last models being the 127B and 127N wich i think is a superb combat and survival knife in combinación with the sheath of the Aitor oso knife.
papuchu heya from over there in Spain. Thanks for the message and the info. We appreciate it. Hope you liked the video and more cudeman videos to come soon too 👍🏼
Thank you I’ve just bought two cudemans, mt5. And folder, new to knives, that large knive looks brutal, I can’t wait for extra dollars to purchase one, enjoying awesome Adelaide weather, getting out in nature, excellent, bought mine from knife shop as well, well done
Just received my cudeman mt 5. , with beautiful sheath, I’m stoked, Quality, thanks for review, only just taken interest in knives I now have two cudemans
Hola amigos. Muy buena revision y comentarios de esos dos cuchillos. Los Cudeman son excelentes herramientas; yo uso los modelos MT-5, JJsk2 y Bushcraft 148; realmente buenos. Saludos desde Mexico!!! 👍
Another awesome video guys as always . Those knives are so nice I still can't get over how well made they are and how nice they feel in the hand and the price is great too. Thanks boys 👍👍
I love your reviews guys, the way you talk about knives is so awesome and REAL. I found these knives today and was totally hooked, I want one bad that big one is so cool😀
As mentioned the forward hole is for attaching to a stick. The MoVa steel is a in house steel and very tough. Might need a bit more field sharpening. The Böhler N695 is a harder steel and you could compare it to 440C. Spanish brands all have good fit and finish for the price. Some brands are Cudeman, Nieto, Muela, Joker, etc. This Joker brand has a line of bushcraft and survival knives that have the stamp of (Grupo) BS-9 and designed by J Sabater and you will be amazed about the quality for the price. I have the older Cudeman MT-1 that has a clip point and is made of the MoVa steel. They later changed to Böhler N695 for the MT line.
Also have a Joker BS9 Trampero with olive wood grips and Kebhardt style blade......lovely knife and quite tough.....on my hip whenever I go into the bush.....
SOUTHERN CROSS SURVIVAL thanks mate. Yeah worth a look at them. They are way better than we even predicted, good solid stainless knife. Thanks for the comment too 👍🏼
The quality of knives now is a bit like fishing rods . Years ago we made our own custom rods to get the quality , but now the quality of fishing rods off the rack very good to excellent . It's time to buy another knife and a Cudeman might the go from the knife shop in qld . Enjoy your vids .
