- Easy and budget friendly DIY fix for those hard to see blind corner cabinets. This is a great solution for anyone looking to save money and access those hard to reach corners.
If you liked the appearance of our cat sable in the video, you'll want to check out the video of our foster kittens (now adopted by us) playing with a ping pong ball here: • What happens when you ...
BRILLIANT! 500 bucks they want for that stupid magic corner and you knocked this outta the park. Nice!
You're a genius!! Way to go, you helped so many of us with those stupid blind cupboards, and we can't afford 500-700 dollars for the ones you buy. Thank you so much!!
Your cat did a wonderful job of supervising. I think he wanted to get into the cupboard to really inspect the fit and finish. 🤔
Great idea! Cabinet builders are so happy to blank off valuable space because it is an easier build. Love this idea so much more.
The Cat: " Hmm, how can I mess with that?...."
Soon as she turns away the cat is IN that cabinet!!
This is the same solution I came up with! The addition of some vinyl garden boarder lattice around the back and on one side of the drawer in the back will allow you to keep items from falling behind it.
You could also buy or make two drawers the same size and then connect them like bunk beds giving you full use of the height of the cabinet as well.
Well done!
Bunk beds. Great way to visualize.
Great idea! It boggles the mind how these companies can charge such exorbitant prices for something so easily made. $400 for a pole and racks is obscene. Thanks for the great DIY idea.
You could always put a double wire rack on back drawer instead of having to install a second shelf.
Great work young lady may God bless you and your family outstanding job
legend! you are a legend, I am so going to do this. My tupperware has nowhere go go before I saw this! xxxx from australia
Me, too. Racking my brains out and this is great.
I am from Bangladesh, and I will be grateful to you.
Simply genius!! Thank you for posting this!!!
This is a great idea and you explained it so anyone can do it. I'm happy that your cat also realizes how smart you are and is inspecting your project
You go girl! That’s genius! I have the same opening with the same depth in the same location. I love you for thinking of this and simplifying my life. My brain hurts from trying to engineer an affordable fix for this. In my area it would cost $1000 for the swing out type (I have 2 cabinets like this). Thank you so much for sharing!
This is exactly what I've just been creating in my mind. I came looking to see if anyone had done something similar - thanks so much!
This is awesome. I can’t believe I found the exact blind corner slide out that I was hoping to find on UA-cam. Thank you!
This is exactly what I needed. Perfect solution and explanation! Thank you!
Been looking at loads of different "solutions" lately, this is the best I've come across. Thank you so much!
Great idea. However side mount slides are designed for vertical installation. They will not hold any significant weight when mounted horizontally. Two slides would probably be better for long term use. Also I would warn to not lean on the front drawer when extended as it would bend the slide and it will never work the same again. Good job on the video and your addressing a problem that haunts us all.
this is what I was wondering, I kept looking for bottom mount ball bearing slides but they go on the sides. So 2 makes sense! Thank you.
@@jenniferjahns4006 It's possible to buy ball bearing runners that can be fitted on the side OR on the bottom. Also, even with a few saucepans or skillets on the smaller drawer, they aren't going to be very heavy in total. Possibly if one had exclusively cast iron pots the weight might be an issue.
Clever, simple and effective and a concise explanation. Well done!
My plan for my winter project was to make pull out drawers for our cabinets. Now my winter project has been simplified to shopping at the restore and installing those pre-made drawers. Thank you!
Absolutely, ABSOLUTELY GREAT SOLUTION!
Yay! You conquered the DIY on what’s normally a very expensive solution! Imma do it too! Thanks girl!
This is GREAT! I watched a lot of videos on how to get to things deep in the corner cabinet that has already been installed and I'm a renter. This is a great perfect solution for me. Thank you so much.
Brillant! My dilema exactly. Thanks for the idea.
Excellent video, never thought of doing this. Thanks for sharing
You are so very brilliant! I am very happy with this design. There are plenty of options in the store for corner cabinets, but they all have very specific dimensions... I was struggling to find a solution and you’ve made my day!! Thanks so Much!!
OMG !!!!.. You really thought outside the box !!!.. thank you for sharing !!.. I have the same issue and it is so much space !!!
Just amazing, thank you for sharing this.
Well done! Very smart simple idea. Love it!!
This is brilliant! Thank you for the video. I actually have a blind corner top cabinet and all of the solutions I find are for bottom cabinets. I was wondering how to make a custom one and your video is the perfect solution that I can customize for a top cabinet that isn't as deep as a bottom cabinet. Thank you!!!!
Awesome! Thanks for the idea.
You dear... ARE A BLESSING!!!!
Thank you very much for such a simple and clever idea.
Awesome! Will have to make this. Thanks for sharing.
Very clever young lady!
Brilliant! I have TWO of these corners, each with shelf, and crick in my shoulder from trying to reach aaaalllll the way in there. Thanks!
Not what I was searching for, but so glad I seen it. Thanks!!!!!!
Wow that is brilliant! I've been searching online as well and all the solutions available are way too expensive. Than you for sharing xx
Very resourceful of you to figure this out. Love the cat!
What size are your slides?
Genius! Thanks for the idea!
brilliant solution - thanks for making the video!
Love it! I didn’t see this video when I was researching solutions a few weeks ago so I ended up using under the bed storage that came on casters.
This is the solution for my corner cabinet. Perfection.
Great job. Thanks for sharing
Wow that’s a genius idea!! Brilliant!!
You're brilliant! Thanks!
Wow. Thank you for your cheap blind corner fix. Such a creative solution!!! The ones on line are way to expensive for my 35 year old cabinets.
Good job. Nice to see someone using ingenuity to craetye a solution to a problem. Maybe not quite as 'fancy' as the multi hundred dollar solutions from cabinet companies, but DIY-able, and cost effective. I'll say it again, "Good job."
that's one of the smartest things I've ever seen!!! magic shelves are soooooo expensive... I know they're two tiered , but I'd rather do this option than pay 100s of dollars for the two tiered options! Great job!
You legend! What a great solution, been looking for something and this is truly teh best, easiest and most practical. thankyou so much for taking the time to share.
You are a GENIUS!!! Thank you!
Thanks for the idea!
Wow, this is genius, thanks for sharing!
This is a great idea. I wish you would have turned over the pull out drawer so we could see the attached pull out however.
Love this idea!
Thank you for the video. I'm looking to update my cabinet and this will work perfect.
Fantastic idea
Great idea!!! I am going to try this. I think I might sit a small shelf in the door as well, so I can stack things higher. Thank you so much for this awesome idea!!!
So clever! Great idea.
Amazing idea, I have been thinking of setting up a swivel system but this is way more cost-effective and functional :)
I just recently opened our blocked off blind corner. This is great idea.
Great idea. Thanks!
I'm glad I found this. I am in the middle of building cabinets for my kitchen. Over all it is going good. I've been frustrated today by this corner cabinet I have. The area is too small for a reasonable lazy Susan, if I make it bigger I will not be able to center my sink over this window. Its unavoidable, it's just the way the wall works out. I would be happy to buy the expensive solutions but they don't look good to me and waste space. I like what you did. I can do it with what I have here. I am going to use your idea in my corner cabinet. I probably will assemble it with two shelves like you suggested. Thank you.
What a brilliant idea.❤
You are brilliant!
genius. been looking for a solution other then a lazy susan. this with do nicely.
Thank you sooo much!!! This is so very helpful!
I like this option and its not expensive and you'll be able to use your existing cabinets.
Thank you so MUCH for this, I am going to do it!
Well done. Simple and effective. Fire!
Awesome solution!
Bravo! If you have access to the back of that cabinet … hubby installed a door and sliding shelves! Wow lots of usable space. He did one on family room side of kitchen and one on dinette side. You did great!!
GREAT JOB!
THIS IS GENIUS!!!!!!!!! Thank you!
GREAT! This is an amazing project! Cheers!!! :D
I'm renting right now and can't install some high dollar revashelf. I also cannot BELIEVE how expensive they are 🙄 you have taken the ideas I've had in my head and brought it to life and I appreciate the tutorial! If they were able to be 2 layers, to maximize the the space even more, that would be even more amazing! You rock!
brilliant! thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much! You are a genius and just saved me $500. This is awesome!!!
Clever, Clever Girl. Top Job Mate, Cheers from Michael. Australia.
Wish I saw this at your age. Awesome. Job
Awesome - Im going to do this!
Since it makes my wife happy, it makes me happy. You did a good job.
Great idea! You could still add another drawer on top if you place a similar blind drawer, assembly, add bracers at the height you want the drawer, then leverage the second shelf into place. If you screw the second drawer into the braces and it should be secure enough hold the drawer without tipping.
Great job
What a great idea!!!
You are a life saver!!!
This is such a great idea, I'm going to do this, it looks super easy :)
i did that exact same thing in one of my cabs, it works great
OHH wow now I can do this to my kitchen Thank you
I love this. I am thinking of doing it with a track on each edge, so two per drawer. That would give it enough stability to add shelves to each drawer and they could still roll without leaning
simple and smart!
Very clever!
To anyone watching this today and pondering how to get the second higher slide shelf, you dont need to. Just buy an appropriate double stack metal rack to go on the back slider. Do the sam on the front one and double its capacity
Wow! Genius. I liked very much. I'll try at home. Thank you. You save me some money.
Great idea!
Excellent idea. Easy to do. I’m building a bar and I’m running into this exact scenario. I may just incorporate your idea. Thanks! Funny how the cat is just waiting for the opportune time to enter that cabinet.
THANK GOD FOR YOU. I have been looking for this for YEARS. We live in my husband's childhood home and cabinets have been refaced and so there are no room for lazy susans. You've made my day and life 100x easier.
AWESOME! I LOVE it! Yeah, create another shelf so you can make another level of the same thing, two sliding drawers!!
You are clever. I also like your cat.
