Are the Pittsburgh Police Covering Up a Serial Killer?

- Pittsburgh is known for its rivers and the bridges over them (as well as a bunch of Super Bowls but I won't be salty as a Philadelphian). Since 2011, however, five young men have drowned under suspicious circumstances in those same rivers. According to the DA, these are all tragic, alcohol related accidents; but some have argued for a different possibility - a serial killer. The Smiley Face Killers folks think they've got a solid case, but do they? Welcome back to The Lore Lodge...

So you should do a video on the missouri cannibal and his cannibal truckers buddy arrested 2 years ago. I have trouble finding info about it on UA-cam since,I know there's a on going investigation because there could be a group of truckers running a international human meat trafficking organization. What got him arrested was he fed human meat to.his neighbors at a neighborhood bbq,and people got sick. And...and he might be connected to the Springfield 3,a woman andher 2 daughters who went missing 20 plus years ago because when arrested he bragged about snatching her and her kids, torturing them and eating them. Of all the bodies they found on his property.( there were alot) 3 female skeletons had remains of clothes matching what the Springfield 3 wearing the nite they went missing.
What got him caught was,not he feeding of human meat to.his neighbors, but a guy was on the dark web watching idk live streamimg torture porn of a woman who.match a woman who had gone missing 2.weeks earlier, and he contacted the fbi thru a anonymous tip hot line. By the time the fbi got there....the chick was hanging on a literal meathook in the guys shed ans the guy answer the dooelr eating a human meat sandwich. No joke. I'm not joking sir.

This is wild. So the weekend Jimmy Slack disappeared, I was drinking with some friends in the north side in a really shady bar. My drink got roofied and I ended up getting separated from my friends. Somehow I regained consciousness, was in shaler township in the back seat of a vehicle that had an African American male driver and a white female in the passenger seat. I remember we were at a Sheetz and they were trying to get me to get my mom to send money via Western Union to the Greyhound bus station. It wasn't my phone, my phone had gone missing and while my friends were trying to reach me they kept saying someone else was answering it. I don't know if I just walked out or struggled but managed to get out of the vehicle, walk to the counter at the Sheetz and told the clerk I had been kidnapped. Apparently my shirt was ripped and I had blood dripping from my forehead. When the cops arrived they said my friends had already reported me missing. They drove me home in Bloomfield and I blacked out again for hours. The cops never called me back to follow up
I'd also like to add I'm 6 ft and at the time was 180 lbs with dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes and was 26 at the time
Damn, that’s scary as hell. You waking up saved your life. Did you ever file a formal police report about this kidnapping attempt? These 2 people have probably been active for a while and could be the answer to the question of why the drowned men’s bodies were not consistent with drowning. Dakota especially was held somewhere for weeks before he was found dead. Please don’t let these people kidnap anyone else! 😢
I live 45 min south of the city... your story gave me chills
Jeez.. The police are so useless
I lived on Cabinet in Bloomfield for years, about a 200 yard stumble from the BBT or TeaBags.
As a citizen of Pittsburgh ill say the grassroots effort to find Dakota was HUGE. If I remember correctly it was particularly cold in the time he was missing. When our rivers freeze they stay frozen. I know a guy who jumped off a bridge and body couldn't be recovered for months because of the ice. All I'm saying is our rivers have been used for years to confuse police and water teams
I second this
This!!! Can confirm it was huge, I remember the news covering all the updates on it.

You forgot to mention that Cyril Wecht was the Pittsburgh coroner for a very long time. He’s used to seeing bodies that come out of the 3 rivers. Or what doesn’t look normal for a body coming out of the 3 rivers for that period of time.
Yeah he is the real deal!
It's crazy, He not only has done Pittsburgh issues but high profile Country issues. And they think he isn't right? Doc is amazing!
I know several officers from the city. Their relationship with Wecht was always... strained much of the time. Wecht is also a camera hound and loves the attention bit he's usually right in his assessments

So many young WIsconsin men have gone missing and ended up in bodies of water away from their university bars, unexplained, separated from all of their friends and sometimes miles away. There are too many coincidences, too many patterns for them to all be random. Thank you for doing what the police have failed to do on behalf of these young men.
A dude I grew up with named Marlon Blue was killed by the smiley face at NIU in the early 2000s. Went to take a pee, ended up shirtless and dead in a lake. RIP.
This has happened in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. I grew up on a farm down there. There’s many bars along the third st. And very close to the Mississippi River which they seem to end up in the river. I admit some of this seems strange. But the college kids sure like to drink down there. It seems like it’s been a long time since anyone has disappeared. But I don’t live there anymore so I don’t hear everything in that area.

There’s another individual who went missing north of Pittsburgh in 2011 in a town called Beaver Falls, who went missing on a running trail (near the river) and his body was found 4 months later… Was a college student at the local school Geneva College.. Was ruled an accidental drowning yet he was out for a morning run when he “accidentally drowned”… Suspicious.
Another follow up to this, Devon Minor, forgot to provide his name, was found near Monaca in the river

Have you ever heard of Missing 411? I think David Paulidas covered his death on his channel CanAm Missing Project. People are disappearing under very mysterious circumstances mostly in National Parks but it can happen anywhere.
I live in Pittsburgh, have for 6 years. Young men go missing every year. The police here are a joke, same w the DA.
People go missing everywhere man. It’s not just Pittsburgh…
Exactly. Any place that has enough people and a large enough mixture is going to have all manner of crimes and misdeeds. That's life. Sure some cities are worse than others, but its seldom exclusive.
I'm born and raised in Pittsburgh and we still have so many questions about the Dakota case.
It's not uncommon to find bodies in the Ohio River, especially in the spring time when everything is getting warm again.
There's just some things about his case that don't feel like a standard jumper case.
As a Pittsburgh local, one thing to keep in mind is that the river trails follow all of the rivers (often times on both sides), so the trail being the last location each of the guys were seen is a bit more minor. Plus, many of the bars located in Southside or the North Shore are along roads parallel with the rivers.
There have been over 20 people found dead in a body of water in Austin over the past 20 years and it has been ticking up in the frequency in the past couple of years. cops don't think any of the deaths are connected and consistently attribute the deaths to accidents despite there being evidence to suggest otherwise. and a handful of men found were known to be at one nearby street before going missing. I don't remember details but I'd love to hear you cover this as it's quite literally close to home for me.
@strangelegend6209 I watched the doc on that. Very interesting. Several of the victims were at the same bar the same night they disappeared. Law and Crime Network released a video about 2 weeks ago regarding bodies in Austin, Texas found in Ladybird Lake. The circumstances are very similar to the ones in other cities. All men, drinking at bars within a few block radius, showing up in the lake much later. Suspected druggings. It may be worth looking into it if you haven't already.
I thought about lady bird lake as well.
I was looking for this comment, I saw another channel talking about Ladybird Lake
And I heard similar circumstances in Chicago waterways... atleast 16 bodies since 2022.
There was a doc about the ladybird lake deaths or “Rainey street killer” in Austin and the correlation of the bodies in Chicago. According to the doc the bodies stop in Austin and start up in Chicago then stop in Chicago and start up again in Austin. I wouldn’t say the police are the problem however you have to take into consideration politicians (police chiefs, sheriffs, DAs, coroners, judges, mayors councilmen governors) and something like an uptick in homicides or hate crimes tarnishing a political career. I worked in emergency response during Covid and saw first hand coroners declaring non covid related deaths as covid deaths to boost numbers. It’s a messed up world we live in where you can throw investigations and snuff out justice or what is right for someone’s own personal gain. And yes it will always be Heinz Field lol
I came here to comment the same exact thing, this is almost 1:1 identical. All the calling cards are there. I wonder how many similar cases there are across the United States.
Randomly found this channel today, really well done and researched. I strongly agree there's foul play involved in at least 4 of these cases. However something that's never mentioned as to why it takes so long to find the bodies is the giant, very deep whirlpool right beyond the submarine docked outside of the Science Center across from Hienz Field. When you're taking a tour of the sub you can actually see it swirling from the deck. My good friend has been a cop in pittsburgh for over 20 years and spent time on the river rescue boats. He said bodies are often sucked down into the much colder water for months before washing out. Just a little fact I thinks worth mentioning. Again, amazing work so far and can't wait to see more.
That is a good tip
No way he accidentally fell in the river and floated around for 40 days then is conveniently found 15 miles away with limited decomposition. Considering he still had a BAC, and some autopsy reports have suggested his internal temperatures were colder than the water, I believe he was kept in refrigeration somewhere before being dumped back in the river, in a different location
This is exactly what I thought happened too. Kept in a freezer. A lot of them I think are.
Was the river not frozen during this time?
@@freyjablue. the rivers in Pittsburgh are rarely frozen at the surface unless we experience extremely low temperatures for an extended period of time. At the time his body was found, the river would have been 47 degrees Fahrenheit based on historical averages. It was reported (not confirmed) that his body temp was lower than the temperature of the river at the time he was found. I believe he was kept in a deep freeze (0 degrees) then put back in the river. This would also explain why members of the rescue team reported they have never seen a body that well preserved in their entire careers. I know people get drunk and drown all the time but something about this one just doesn’t feel right to me.

When police declare something "accidental," it's generally code for "dont know, dont care, write it off, fill the quota and move along." Very similar to archeologists declaring something was used for "ceremonial purposes."

I'm a Pittsburgh native. The second I saw the title of your video, I knew this was about Dakota. While I'm not convinced the police are covering up a serial killer (they were far more active and involved than implied by the parents and this video), I will reinforce that Dakota's case is absolutely infamous in my city and surrounding suburbs, and not a single person understands what happened to him.
Pittsburgh came alive looking for that boy. Everyone was looking for him. His case will probably never be forgotten by my city.
You're absolutely right
I think it's probably a serial killer or organized crime, since the FBI and secret service were there. But the chances of anyone being a victim are so astronomically low, there are probably more people who die from furniture each year in Pittsburgh alone. And more people just fall in the water, than are victims. So it is scary, but realistically it's not that big of a deal. There are usually a decent number of serial killers in the country who are never caught, and it's such low numbers of victims nobody notices a few dozen a year out of 340 million people.

@@joyfullydreaded1371 I'm not shocked. The police don't exactly like inciting panic, seeing how it'll take up more of their resources often needlessly chasing ghosts. Although I'd hope they'd check for a potential correlation and have a silent investigation occur.

Let's say it's actually some grand conspiracy of a bunch of murderers. Now. Why would the police cover this up. We have a few options:
1. The police are incompetent

I loved hearing about the Shawnee in this episode! I'm distantly related to the Shawnee through my great grandmother, who is a descendent of Martin Chartier and Seawatha Straight-Tail. My great-grandmother grew up in Illinois, moved to Kentucky in her early teens, and then to PA when she got married. She ended back in the state her ancestors called home and never even knew it.
Why is it every white girl claims to have some sort of native American in them lol.
You have the whitest last name ever.
Anyone can say they have some sort of something if they go far enough behind
Your videos are so detailed especially in the Native American department. I live in Ohio and there is so much native culture to the region that most people forget about...If you are taking requests, The Mothman connection with The Battle of Chief Cornstalk is an interesting story. Lots of native bloodshed by George Washington's army in Point Pleasant, WV. I used to have relatives that lived there and I truly believe those violent actions left a mark on that area. Lots of railway accidents, mining accidents, as well as the well known bridge collapse are just a few examples of the curse put on that region. Not to mention economic and drug problems that plague the area as well. Also, the famous serpent mounds aren't more than an hour away across the river in Ohio.
Going back 300 years to find something bad Whitey did, how many white women got raped by black men TODAY? How many black shootings occurred TODAY??? Stabbings? Robberies? Today!!!!?
🎉🎉🎉 true!! I have never heard that level of detailed native history, mostly it's focused on the white folks in the fort. Keep up the great work Aidan!
As someone who lives on the Ohio side of that bridge and is an avid believer of cryptids and the like, the scariest thing about Point is the methman. Our area is just another Appalachian town raised then killed by progress. Then the wound was left to fester by the goverment pushing pain killers down the working mans throats from the 80s on up. Truth to God this area is just the po-dunk version of what they did to the inner cities.
Neville Island is one of the most depressing places in PA. It's all industrial and post industrial abandoned buildings. Most people there are working and not paying attention any else so it would be an easy place to dump a body, especially at night. Drive down the ramp find your spot, dump it in the river and drive back up and you're on the interstate.
As someone who has lived there. Yeah, old industrial on basically 2/3 of the island. Poor security on buildings at night besides window and silent alarms but usually just cats tipping them so people ignore them a lot, not a lot of cameras. There is a specific part of the island I would go to and hang out near the water, maybe smoke a J, if you look around you can 100% find a building with 0 CCTV coverage.
It’s heroin island lol
This is happening ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. Boston, Chicago, I believe Austin (may be a different city in Texas), and a few more I can't remember exactly. Same exact M.O.
There is 100% an active serial killer in the USA right now, and you cannot convince me otherwise that this person is traveling from city to city, probably to lessen the heat on them.
Yes all over America many other cities too. The theory is it is a gang of people under a similar call. The MOs and Victim demographics are similar and the circumstances too. Someone or something is killing young men all over.
There are between 25 and 50 possible serial killers active in the USA at this time - FBI stats. Available from a quick search.
Austinite here, my theory is that since most victims appear to be gay men, nearly every one of the men pulled out of Town Lake/Ladybird Lake were last seen on Rainey St our local gay bar district downtown, it could be a hate group working in tandem across America. With the rise in white nationalists, white supremacists and neo-Nazis here, as well as around the world, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if it is what is going on rn.
Man, I'm tired of my comments disappearing when they didn't violate anything, just stated facts.
Take 2: Yes this is happening in Austin, 10 men pulled from Town Lake/Lady Bird Lake that were last seen on Rainey St which is our gay bar district. This is getting crazy. My theory is that there could be a h8 group/s working in tandem to unalive gay guys across America. Cops are too quick to call them accidentals.
Just today march 19, 2024 a body has been found again in the charles river in boston, by newton. Again 😞

@@callmevegito just depends on where you’re at and who you know I guess. It’s been a while since I lived out that way but when I was out there I’d seen terrorist attacks, an fbi shootout with a biker gang at a bar initiated by an agent dancing too hard, interstate LGBT drug operations, a gun shop in McKeesport that nearly tripled the murder rate by intentionally selling guns to felons, a machete attack on Wood Street, a pizza man get robbed with an AR-15 which ended in a cop shootout, a high school football coach using the star QB to sell dope (he was murdered in his house before 21), an entire police department get recused from a murder case that involved the spouse of a known mafiosa, and perhaps most jarring, the Milano’s pizza incident where a mom and pop pizza shop got harassed and boycotted because of a pizza chain with the same name down the street aggressively throwing out a black woman.

As someone who lives about 30 outside of Pittsburgh, learning more about these cases just makes me even more aware of the dangers actually hiding in the city. East Carson Street and the area around it is extremely busy and bustling, but just because you’re surrounded by people or even friends, something bad can still happen. Stay safe 💕

I’ve lived near Pittsburgh and even closer to the Ohio river all of my life, there are so many bodies found and said to be “accidental” when they’re clearly not.
To be honest, the FBI can be involved in _any and all cases_ for _any crime_ in a consulting and/or advisory role upon specific request of the Police Department or District Attorney's office that have jurisdiction over said case.
This is true. From what I know too, the FBI- profilers, 🔍 have to have 3 homicides-deaths with similar evidence, scenes, clues to consider it a serial killer, serial case 📂.
They should get involved, too many similar not alive gay men being pulled from rivers that run through cities. My theory is that a, starts with h rhymes with rate, group could be working in tandem targeting gay men. With the rise of Christian and/or white nationalists, neo-Knot-zs and a resurgence of white supremacists in America, I wouldn't be surprised at all.

I'm born and raised in Pittsburgh at age of 42 I can say that our city police are one of the most ignorant and incompetent police officers and forces I've had experience with. I've been pulled over and had an officer harass me and stuff $400 cash in my mouth and tell me to eat it. This was after he used a mini metal baton on the bone of elbow while arm was pulled behind my back and caused serious swelling and bruising. All because he couldn't find drugs or any other reason to arrest me so he acted like a bully and totally violated my rights. That's just one experience.

Two years before Dakota James, Pittsburgh had young bi man Andre Gray missing for 5 months with obvious crime scene at his apartment and then found in the Ohio River in West Virginia and determined as murder - we (Pittsburgh) did really believe the Dakota and Andre cases were connected at the time. If you can, i would really recommend bringing that one person who doesn't look like the profile into this deeper dive your considering. At the very least it could contribute to the understanding of why the FBI came in. In the moment our community believed Dakota and Andre were related. We do not know now if they were, they still could have been.

What I'm most interested in at this point, because I *am* convinced there's... something up with the police... Is the *why?* Why is there a pattern of police not only disregarding, but almost *helping* these (alleged) killer(s)?
I don't think incompetence is necessarily it. I don't know what it could be really.
Edit: Aiden, yes; a benzo or barbiturate being slipped is the most likely thing. GHB is also possible. It's the emotional swinging that makes me think so.
Definitely agree with you, for a why all I can come up with is that they're covering up the fact that they're incompetent and likely outsourced the cases to the fbi on the down low. I just can't see why they'd hide a serial killers presence from the public though surely safety outweighs the fear factor
agreed. WHY are the cops not taking this more seriously. and it's a much wider number of cases, all over the place, that are very similar. maybe they are (that's my hope anyway) - that there is an investigation - been kept quiet so not to tip off those responsible.
still my personal faith & hope in the cops was... destroyed.. in 2012
there HAVE been a number of killers in their ranks - (for example, Gerard Schaeferbut, Christopher Dorner, David Middlton etc etc) however again, this is a lot bigger than just these cases - examples all over the U.S.
(why the 'smiley face' killer/s theory has gained traction in many (I'm not one - open mind about it, neither support nor dismiss it)
A few reasons come to mind. One of their own is involved, one of their family members is involved, or it's the work of a crime group who has the means to pay them to be in their pocket. There are many cases of police doing corrupt things for these three reasons, so that's where my mind goes.
@@godwarrior3403 That is possible, but I find it more likely that there is a serial killer and they don't want to have to deal with that; so they are covering it up.

my mind goes to they are really not taking this *seriously* - because it's young 'drunk' men - who _appear_ to 'accidentally' drown
they deal with them on a case by case level. they don't know (& to a certain point it's not their responsibility to know) of other cases outside their immediate area
I watched/listened to the case of Lauren McCluskey the other day - heartbreaking story of a young woman who raised concerns with university cops, and when they ignored her, city cops, about her ex (who ended up ENDING her, then himself)
"hours of material never seen or heard by the public - including surveillance video, 911 calls and police interview and dispatch recordings. Viewers get an intimate look into the last weeks of Lauren’s life as she pleaded for and sought help over and over"
the cops didn't take HER seriously, a young, white woman, afraid of a big, strong man (he was working as a bouncer when they met) - her parents sued of course - then almost the same thing happened to another young woman 2 years later.
so, as I said - (& maybe I'm contradicting what I said prior - I really don't KNOW, just speculating...)
(I have my own 'bad' (bad' ha - I have ptsd - from 2012 when someone assaulted me in my home, tried to END me - the way I was treated on that occasion, the months that followed, again in 2020... ) - as a 'white' 'woman' (not so young anymore, at least to others, in early 50s now, so early 40s then - outlined how I was treated to 2 men in early 2012 - (one former Marine, former MP - trained in interrogation, the other very experienced trial lawyer - their response, exactly the same "who do they know" - the person who assaulted me, tried to END me - "who do they know". I don't think it was this - that they 'knew' anyone - they just got to the cops FIRST - lied about what happened, and I had the _wrong_ person/people dealing with me - who, again, believed the person who assaulted me, tried to END me (oh I had injuries - ER thought I would lose sight in my eye, bruises, cops drove me BACK to the person I told them over & over again "I'm not drunk, I'm not lying, they tried to K1!! me" "we know" ...)
I haven't ruled out corruption in these young men, or each case - looked at separately - as the cops seem to be doing.

On Dakoda, I'm typically not a huge fan of the Smiley Face Killer theory but there's so much sus shit about this case. The fact that he allegendly managed to walk from the North shore to South side is insane, especially given it happened at night during the winter months. I've done similar drunk walks before and going across the bridges can be brutal, but making it that far down E Carson st while not being fully conscious? thats sus. Those winds bite enough to pull anyone into consciousness. I have mixed thoughts on his body. Those rivers don't move too fast during Decemeber and they're also filled with trash to get stuck on. But only a couple of miles and such little decomposition? Furthermore, I also don't see this being hate crime related, the most you typically get is weird looks.
Overall, its not hard to fall off of those bridges / trails, but given the low BAC of the men, there atleast had to be something purposeful there.
He didn't walk to the South Side from the North Shore. He didn't even make it over the Clemente Bridge.

I'm from Pittsburgh. About 8 years ago I was drinking with friends as a 22 year old college guy would do on his spring break. We hit a couple bars and 941 Saloon was open past 2 AM so we went in. We were all straight. It was a cool bar nice DJ and we just had a few drinks and started getting waters. Around 3 AM I got really sick, and blacked out. My friends had no idea because I was pretty coherent but I couldn't remember everything for several minutes. I do remember going to the bathroom and vomiting, and a guy followed me and was trying to help and I said "dude I'm all right" and he said ill help you get home and I said "fuck off I'm fine" I believe I was drugged and I vomited just in time to get rid of most of the drug. What I can remember is the guy was tall skinny and had glasses. I dont remember facial features, his hair was kind of long on the top and shaved on the sides. I got back to my friends and didn't drink anything else the remainder of the night. I also didn't see that guy again.

I worked in downtown Pittsburgh for a couple weeks in both 2018 and 2019 pretty much living a hotel in the heart of downtown. One thing about Pittsburgh is its eerily quiet at night, even downtown. I remember when I was working there my husband visited and he got there kind of late, around 8pm so we went out for a later dinner. I remember us talking about how it was totally dead downtown and hard to find an open restaurant on a friday at 8pm. I also was on Duquesne campus a couple times, also eerily quiet at night. Southside bar area is lively, but a block or two away its dead. Also alot of forested areas in Pittsburgh unlike other major cities. Alot of the t stations are in wooded areas too, like in between two cliffs with trees, with no or little direct site to houses, its weird compared to other cities. Another great video guys. I would just like to add that in my opinion, I find it very odd that those poor guys bodies seem to have been found in fairly good condition after going down that river and through those dams. I am also surprised that almost all of them were still clothed after going through them. Dams always have a ton of debris on the back side of them that should cause numerous injuries and snag clothing. They also have so much force that it's almost impossible to not have at least some of the clothing ripped off. The Highway 2 serial killer (killers?) in Alberta, I was told about by a girl I'd met on Whyte Ave around 1993-94, and it was apparently well known by the time I heard about it. The police finally stopped covering it up in 2005. Between 1988 and 2005 they knew of 12 murders likely linked to one offender, and in that span they continually publicly denied the possibility of a link. Police would rather openly lie about crimes happening than look useless in preventing them. Multi-decade police coverups of crimes that would make them look inept are common everywhere.
N-n-no cops are good and good goys and the bad guys are already in jail! History ended with the Berlin wall!
“Dang I feel useless, might as well help the killer” absolutely awful

Multiple young men have disappeared in Pittsburgh in the last decade...one from Downtown, one on the South Side, as well as Dakota. There are undoubtedly more. It's always concerned me, and I'm glad you are bringing this to light.
New friend here. Local to Pittsburgh. First... Thank you for your work. These cases always go silent so it's refreshing to hear these names back out here. Second, a lot of shady stuff been going down in Shaler more recently. So I'm really wanting to look for more info on the Shaler stuff on these cases.. quite eerie. I hadn't heard about the Shaler stuff with Dakota until now. Also didn't know about the extra stuff with his "girl" friend from earlier in the month. Hmmm.
Do you think maybe a lot of these men were gay or bi and perhaps through either promises of sex, outting to their parents(to the closeted ones) or perhaps this was someone befriending these young gay men who was much older that sold them party drugs or what have you. Since the gay scene was much more underground back then, this killer could easily use that to get away with these murders.
Drugs in the gay community is a massive problem so it wouldn't be surprising that one was a more circumstantial death, even given potential fights with fellow gay people at the bar.
And this is the 2010s, not 1955 lol. They weren't underground at all. LGBT'ers were as loud as they had been to that point
Yeah, this was the 2010s. Gays hadn't been "underground" for decades at that point, and only the first one was gay. The rest were all straight, which is the norm for these disappearances.
I’m close friends with a family member of one of these guys, and as soon as I saw the stuff going up about him missing on Facebook I knew it was going to be among these cases. As someone who has grown up, lived the vast majority of their life here, and walked all around the parts where they have gone missing, the whole this is all an accidental drowning is complete bs. There is something sinister going on and it’s absolutely unforgivable that the authorities refuse to take it seriously.

I live in Pgh, was born and raised and also went to Duquesne University when this was happening. I can attest that our cops don’t want to do anything. It was mostly us students and his family doing the work when Dakota went missing. About 2 years ago people in the city asked for more cops and then after a year long study came out that showed our cops don’t respond to most calls, so they got rid of some cops. I called them a few times about a person threatening me outside my apartment, literally on my balcony I couldn’t even get to work. They kept telling me they’d be there but never showed up.
Ya bro. I live here too and went to Duquesne Uni back in the day. I literally watched a girl get punched in the face and almost knocked out right next to a cop. I ran down and said hey did you see that guy punch her!? And he looked at me and said, I didnt see it, not my problem. And he drove away on his motorcycle. I ran over to the girl bleeding and laying on the sidewalk, and brought her back to my house and gave her water and stuff. I called the police and no one showed up. She eventually left and I felt so bad for her. Wtf is up with the cops here?
@@highdesertbikerthat’s so crazy to hear. I’m a current Duquesne student and ngl DUPO is pretty beloved amongst the student body😭
Dakota was a male escort, the incident where Shelley picked him up sounds suspicious. Hotel, black suv, crying, pleading for help... he was drugged and assaulted. That's my opinion.
So it isnt a random road for Thomas. There is a boat dock in that area. Lots go down there to fish, run, there is a dog park, it is like a walking trail off 18th. Thank You for covering this. You missed one from East Mckeesport I think.
I've always felt like some of these drownings death were suspicious... Random but when you said "Giant Eagle" it took me a second to realize what you were talking about. We say "Gian Iggle"
In Erie Giant Eagle vets refer to it as Big Bird lol
Isn’t it weird how both bodies were thought to have died the night they were out drinking by examiners, they had an elevated blood alcohol content, yet the bodies conditions seem as if they didn’t die the night they went missing. Very odd
