Hi my name is Lilly and I am an American expat living on the island of Koh Samui in the gulf of Thailand for the last 9 years. My husband is Thai and his name is Wat. We have two boys named Luke and Leon and a new baby girl named Lyla. Nam is our Nanny and she is like family to us. She is from Myanmar and has worked for us for over 7 years.

I agree with everyone on how much more relaxed and happy Wat seemed on this trip… it’s so nice to get out and experience new things.. I was in that exact mall in Bangkok, it was amazing so many things to see and try delicious foods.. you can’t see it in one day it takes weeks to see it all you all who’ll have to go back many times.. there is a fun factory for kids to play in your boys would love it….and when I took the sky train it was so crowded you could not move we were packed in like sardines.. not a good experience for me.. your train was perfect not crowded at all

Allow me to show the instances where Lilly is pictured in full, in her vids. In this vid from 14:14 to 14:18, Lilly is seen in front of the full-length mirror in Siam Icon washroom. In her vid “We’ve never done this before - Bangkok Life”, from 6:26 to 6:40, Luke takes Lilly’s full length picture along the road while walking to town. Or whenever she gets a chance to take a full picture of herself even in front of the mirror inside the apartment lift (from 1:39 - 1:43 “Day in the life of an American expat woman in Bangkok”). Being the person filming the vid and taking a full pic of herself can be challenging, in the absence of a full-length mirror. 😅

Was Wat very sick then or what?
Normally, Thai is quite thin. Because of the food we eat, our food is low calorie. It's hardly see fat people in Thailand.
@@user-sr2lw1zy3e yes but he was thinner and pale and you could see that he was in pain He also did not talk alot. Do not assume people are stupid or if they live elsewhere they do not eat healthy. I grow my own organic fruits and veggies and catch my own fish on the lake that I live on, do you know where I live in... USA.

I loved IconSiam. The local culture all in a huge AC lol running indoors. Loved it. The River market is so amazing as well as the food. 👏🏻
That indoor market is fabulous! Wow the choices of foods are endless. I could stay there all day and not get bored.

Hello Lilly, Good Evening. It was nice to see 5 smiling faces. Little Leon must have been tired, and slept all the way. Lilly this is the first time I saw you with a short dress, and you really looked gorgeous. There is a lot to see in Bangkok, if you do not get bothered. I like to go see things, if I have the company. Otherwise I am contented just relaxing. It was nice to see Luke playing with Lila. Both brothers love their sister. In other words when Lila grows up. In Thai culture the man has to be the leader of the family and feeds everyone in his family and the woman has to do nothing and if you want to marry the girl you have to prepare the money to give to their parents to show that you are already be a real man and could look after their daughter, we Thai people called that money "Sin-Sord", Sin-sord is a must for Thai people it's our Culture and traditional for long time and everyone have to do it whatever you rich or poor, normally middle-class Thai people in Bangkok have to prepare to their parents about 1- 10+ millions(us$30,000-300,000) up to their incomes, I didn't say that's the right way or it's the correct way but it's just our culture and most people just thought like that and for sure after the man have to prepare the money even for their parents he never dare to take anything from their daughter or his wife, just only give to her, that's why most rich woman and some middle-class Thai woman do not work and just stay at home and just only be a good house wife and party with their friend, in Thailand if you're a man and you do opposite side most of the people around would really look down on you, you couldn't really do that my friend especially in Bangkok because here even the girl they look after themself and have a good job and most of them are new generation teenagers and they believed even in their own woman power and of course if you're a man you couldn't do the things like that here in Bangkok for sure.

Thank you for this one dear Lilly. I have been feeling the spiritual warfare too. I think it is happening world wide atm. Many Christian’s are feeling it. I have been playing “The Powerful Sound of the Shofar, ‘The Heavenly Call’” a You Tube video. It cleanses the atmosphere, brings peace and makes the Holy Spirit shimmer within. The armour of God is great too. I am so grateful for our Heavenly Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and all of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Sending so much love to you all. 😘🥰🇦🇺🙏🏻
We are headed to Thailand at the end of Dec and staying all through January, when in Bangkok we plan on stopping by the icon Siam for their indoor floating market. Looks nice :) glad Wat is doing better these days too. Absolutely love Nam too. Her happiness really rubs off on me for the day lol.
It’s a great place but be prepared for the prices
Are the prices high on the food too or mainly the stores? We don’t plan on buying anything from the luxury stores lol those we can’t do. I saw there was a naraya in icon too like Siam paragon has. We love that shop.
Another way to go to Icon Siam is getting on a shuttle boat from Saphan Taksin BTS station.
Also Icon Siam is connected with other Bangkok's popular places by Chao Phraya Express Boat. Especially, Chao Phraya Tourist Boat has a second floor deck; the view from the deck is really beautiful.
Enjoy your time in Bangkok. Love the aliveness of Bangkok. The food looks delicious
