WTF brain? I was never as brain-drained from speaking english in my normal life as I was in that dream. It was weird. Apart from that I cannot remember any fully non-german dreams (although there was one of me translating latin words (my third language and I´m incredibly shitty at it)).
No, it's quite stupid of YOU to assume that no one in the US speaks or understands German. And the network isn't going to start teaching people how to swear in other languages

Indeed, France/Germany/Spain (etc) have, for example, 'a French/German/Spanish Robert DeNiro' or 'a French/German/Spanish Al Pacino', i.e. guys that have dubbed their Hollywood equivalent for their entire careers. It only starts getting awkward or weird when a dub actor dies sooner than the real/original actor. Imagine, as a French guy, suddenly hearing someone else dub your favourite actor after 40-odd years. That's why dubbing is a bad idea. Let's ban it from the industry. Hurrah for subtitles.
